We ended up flying out a day later than expected and decided to stay another night. The reception was very helpful and let us stay in the same room on the first floor which was nice because we had a lot of luggage. This hotel is also only a short train ride away from the Sydney opera house.

We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights in the King Studio. The receptionist was friendly and usually available, and housekeeping kept the room clean and tidy every day đŸ‘đŸŒ The room itself was quite small, including the bathroom. Once we opened our luggage, there was hardly any space left to walk, but it was equipped with all the basic necessities. Soundproofing could be improved, as we could still hear people laughing and playing in the corridor late at night On the bright side, the location is excellent. It’s a lively area with plenty of great restaurants, and both bus and train stations are close by, making it very convenient to reach the CBD

Upon arrival the room smelled like stale cigarettes and stagnant water which was extremely unpleasant. I had to prop the door open with my suitcase to get fresh air in with the window open. I ended up going to the supermarket to buy carpet deodoriser and air freshener to get the smell out. I could still smell it when I left after 2 days. When I went to get into bed it was very obvious the bed had been slept in and the pillowcase had not been changed. I had to ***** the bed and make it with what was left over with the sheet that goes over the doona. I know it was NYE and paid over $600 a night for the room, but wasn’t expecting the room to not smell ok and have fresh linen.

Hotel Hacienda Redfern is perfect for an action-packed city break if you won’t be spending much time in your room. Although the room is quite small, it’s clean and comfortable, and the soundproofing does a decent job. However, travelers sensitive to noise should note that the nearby railway can be a bit disruptive. The location is excellent, with easy access to Redfern’s lively bar scene, and it’s only a short stroll or bike ride to both Central and Redfern stations.

I was lucky enough to have my room ready in advance, before 2PM and since my flight arrived early in the morning, that was really nice ! Cathy was also a wonderful person in general, throughout my stay. The room is pretty big, with a sink and a fridge. đŸ‘ŒđŸ» The room I had is next to the common area however people weren't too loud, especially in the evening despite it roughly being the dinner time so that was nice. The area is very chill, a few schools and houses around so not loud at night. It is, however, situated on the planes' route and they are pretty low in the sky since it gets close to the airport. But there aren't any at night (around midnight until 6AM I would say) and it's not every 5 minutes either. The sun set pretty early at that time of the year and to me, I felt like the neighborhood lacked lights for people to walk around but it wasn't much of a bother and not something the lodge can change, so just a heads-up to have a small light/enough battery on the phone to use when coming back from your day trip activities.

Boutique hotel at very good location. Just a short walk to Haymarket and Chinatown. Every morning from 7 to am there are some pastries and energy/muesli bar provided as well as free coffee and tea whole day at the lobby. Angee the staff help us to store our luggage before check in and after check-out .Paola another staff also help us check out the public transport route to to around Sydney. Great value for stay in Sydney city.

I booked a room for four nights using a stay voucher. The room was spacious and clean, and the photos shown on the website were accurate and true. We were pleasantly surprised by the full set of kitchen utensils, along with a microwave and even a dishwasher provided in the room. We had a very comfortable stay with daily housekeeping throughout the stay. The location is strategic, as it is just a five-minute walk from Green Square Station, which is only a short train ride from both the airport and the CBD. A really good deal for the price I paid.

Great location, was pretty central to everything in Darling Harvour - located on a quiet street with parking onsite. The Buffet Breakfast was delicious with great options. Staff were very welcoming & friendly. The rooms were very spacious & private bathrooms were adequate.

PPengguna TetamuMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3. The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”. Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review. 1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels. 2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative. 3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious. 4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable. Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

JJulesTI’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! Sydney Central was disappointing. We booked a private room for three with a shared bathroom. The room had a strong “slept-in” smell which seemed to come from the actual pillows and bedding rather than the sheets. The shared bathrooms were also quite dirty, and during our five-day stay I only saw them cleaned once. The kitchen on the first floor is far too small for the number of guests. Fridges and cupboards were completely full, and with only a few cooktops, sinks and microwaves it’s very difficult to cook or find a place to eat. The hostel is very focused on partying, with events like pizza nights and free drinks in the kitchen area. It’s also quite noisy, with partying and heavy doors slamming day and night, so don’t expect much sleep. Considering how expensive Sydney is, this place still felt overpriced. The building is run down (cracked sinks), beds have thin mattresses, and we even saw a large cockroach one day. Staff simply said, “this is Australia.” There’s also no ramp at the entrance, so heavy luggage has to be carried up the stairs. The only real positive is the great location.

PPengguna TetamuI stayed one night at Sydney Central YHA with a friend this time. I’ve actually stayed here a few times before, both in shared dorms and private rooms. This time, we booked a private room and it was surprisingly spacious. The bathroom was an accessible one, so it felt even bigger than usual, which was a nice bonus. The location is super convenient, really easy to get around. The room itself was pretty basic in terms of cleanliness, not bad, but not spotless either. Fine for a short stay if you just need somewhere to sleep. A couple of small things: the window was quite small, and you can hear noise from nearby rooms quite easily, so it’s not the most soundproof. One thing I did like that they’ve upgraded the TV. It’s bigger now and you can connect it to Wi-Fi to stream your own stuff, which is actually really handy. Overall, it’s a practical and convenient option for a short stay.

My check-out time was supposed to be 11am, yet the housekeeper started knocking on my door at 8am and even asked me what time I was checking out — shouldn’t staff already know this information? Later, I left my luggage in my room at 9am to have breakfast in the hotel. When I returned at 10am, my room card no longer worked. The front desk staff told me my card had been dropped into the check-out box, which was confusing since I was traveling alone — who did that? To make matters worse, when I finally got back into my room, all of my luggage was gone. The housekeeper said it had been sent to the front desk without my consent. This was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional, and I hope management takes steps to improve communication and respect guests’ check-out times

PpornphunWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
