Modern Courtyard - clean and well maintained. Rooms are nice and spacious. Quiet location so not noise at night. Parking downstairs very convenient. Did not have breakfast as they charge €24 which is a too high price tag for a Courtyard breakfast. Bar: cozy and very friendly staff. Reception staff: you may run into long waits as the reception also assumes concierge duties which may results in rather lengthy conversations. That is a bit of an issue. We witnessed a nearly endless conversation about where free parking can be found. That is a no-go. Also, strange handling of the EUR 10 per day and person F&B credit you get as Premium client. They base it on US$, thenn apply Fx to equate it to EUR and then install the credit That results in you spending EUR 20 (rouding it up to 20 with tips) at the bar and the running into a EUR 3.96 additional charge (Fx delta EUR 1.98 per person). Total non-sense a bit cheap as well. No other non-US Courtyard I ever stayed does it like that. That is the sort of stuff they should put an end to - it just leaves a mixed impression despite the hotel itself being of good quality. That is a pitty but I have made such experience a few times in Europe this year - maybe a post-Covid attempt to recover cash. God knows. And: watch you Bonvoy account - points don't show up promptly. Again god knows why.

Arcotel has good access to the river. The rooms are generally comfortable. However, unfortunately a member of our group reported that €500 were taken from her purse in the room. When she reported this to the staff they were not cooperative and did not help with questioning the personnel who entered the room.

Booked via *********** after midnight, 45 minutes before the arrival. We were lucky to find the parking in the street nearby and avoid the park house fee. Overall short and comfy stay, location is awesome, be prepared to be woken by church bells if you happen to prefer open windows during the summertime :)

Underwhelmed. River view is beautiful, rooms are clean and modern. Beds are comfort. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. BUT the hotel is only good if you are here for work and don't plan to stay in the room to rest. Otherwise, expect to hear every single noise the people in the rooms above and next to you, and in the hallways, make. Everything housekeeping did, all their conversations, and all their door slamming and furniture moves, could be heard in the morning. So you can forget sleeping in. And forget keeping your windows open for fresh air during the day. There's constant construction noise ruining the beautiful Danube river view. And at night, you'll be kept awake because people stay out drinking and talking loudly in the courtyard till late hours into the night. Apparently the hotel does not ask them to mind the noise pollution so people in their rooms are not awakened.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and facilities. Quirky decorations. Two minus points. The chairs in the bedrooms are uncomfortable, heavy and due to the design you keep bashing your toes against the legs. The rather open nature of the shower and toilet will not be to everyone’s taste. On my own it was fine. The music at breakfast was also interesting and not at all intrusive, over seven days we had Sade, Pearl Jam, Coldplay and others. I loved this. Just reiterate it was not intrusive.

Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und modern eingerichtet. Corona-bedingt gab es keinen Empfang. Die Zimmerkarten wurden unter der Fußmatte deponiert. Die Bar war geschlossen, das Frühstück eingeschränkt. Am meisten gestört hat uns jedoch der Straßenlärm. Bei einem erst in 2019 eröffneten Hotel hatten wir eine der Lage an einer Hauptstraße angemessene Schalldämmung erwartet, wurden davon aber enttäuscht. Bis zur Altstadt sind es ca. 25 Minuten zu laufen, allerdings über nicht attraktive Straßen. Alternativ kann man auch die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen.

Kapitalistisch geführtes Hotel. Maximaler gewinn bei minimalen aufwand. Der Zahn der Zeit nagt am Hotel. Wenn man auf den Balkon geht, muss man aufpassen damit man nicht durch die morschen Dielen bricht, teilweise sind die Löcher von weiten erkennbar. Auch der Tisch am Balkon, kann jederzeit zusammenbrechen. Wenn die Balkontüre geöffnet wird, beginnen die Staublurche einen Wettlauf durch das Zimmer. Die Klimaanlage kühlt angeblich, hört aber bei 24,6°C auf zu kühlen. Der Aschenbecher geht schon über, wenn man in das Zimmer einzieht, für einen Nichtraucher kommt Verwunderung auf. Der defekte Lichtschalter wurde nach dreimaliger Reklamation getauscht. Wen man in der Rezeption reklamiert, bekommt man eine langen Dialogvortrag wer aller Schuld ist und das alles seine Richtigkeit hat und alles in einwandfreien Zustand ist. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist doch etwas kein für €160,- für die Übernachtung. Dafür sind die Frühstückseier durchgekocht. Es leben auch gewisse Insekten in dem Zimmer, die man nicht nach Hause mitnehmen möchte, siehe Fotos

Very central comfortable hotel. Views over the city of Linz outstanding. The Cathedral is right next door but the clock can wake you up as it chimes every quarter of an hour, so ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. In just a stones throw there are some good restaurants and the shopping centre just round the corner.
