周邊環境來説酒店連着一個pub可以點酒啊飲料，pub裏一般都是周邊住着的老年顧客，白天還是蠻安全的（我沒在天黑晚上出去過），房間一個鑰匙，出門一樓一個鑰匙，老闆和員工人都很好，聊天知道我是中國人之後給我發的郵件都特意中文加拼音，特別可愛友善，需要客房清潔記得給酒店員工説，wifi比較流暢而且有冰箱

My experience at The Hour Glass Hotel was outstanding, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Wojtek. From the moment I arrived, he demonstrated a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude. His attention to detail and willingness to assist with anything made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel, not just for its facilities and price, but for its dedicated staff, especially Wojtej. Thank you for making my visit unforgettable!

I like to think my reviews are honest as you can get so hope this helps people to make their own mind up. This is a budget priced hotel so if you want The Ritz, spend the money, and don't complain for what this Hotel offers. Check in was easy, arrived at the hotel and went to the bar and was quickly shown to our room. Hallway is basic, carpet a bit dirty but not worn out. Room very clean and spacious, the toilet seat a bit loose and the bed sheet had a small rip in it. The carpet was fairly new and en suite bathroom was very clean and quite new, as was the bed. Windows have curtains but could do with blinds or nets to help block out views from the adjacent flats. Only had one pillow each, but asked for another and was given one no problem, plentynof towels, tea, coffee and milk. Again just ask for more and they happily oblige. The bar was quite cheap, nicely priced with excellent choice of drinks and snacks. Locals all seemed friendly, even though the surrounding area looked derelict and deserted. 10 min walk towards the city is a lovely area and a great coffee shop called HEJ, quite cheap and very good quality food and drink. Plenty of transport locally but UBER taxis were only between £7.50 and £16 from the City to hotel depending where you were being picked up and dropped off. All said, a great friendly stay, not the Savoy, but doesn't claim to be either, and yes, we would definitely stay again.

I do believe it is relatively clean, but Hourglass is a very worn-out place. Our “suite “ allowed very little walking space between our two beds. The bathroom is just barely big enough for a shower, toilet, and sink, smaller than a cruise ship bathroom. The bedding is pilled, which makes it less than comfortable. The rooms are connected to a pub where we met very interesting and friendly pensioners. This gave us North Americans a view of nice working class folks. Unfortunately the smoking outside came directly into the pub, leaving it reeking with the smell of tobacco. In the morning we discovered sketchy characters outside the establishment. This is an adequate sleeping place if budget is the most important item for your travels.

Checked in for my birthday weekend in London. Staff in bar were all very friend and so helpful. Paid the £8 per day to park the car outside. Was given the keys and shown to the room. Room itself was clean and tidy. Bed was solid. So woke up each day with back like pebbles. Only one pillow each wasn't fun either. On the whole though I very much enjoyed my time away staying here.

The manager (sweet polish girl) and her colleague (young man) were super nice and welcoming. Made one feel right at home. The room was tidey as were the loos and showers. Great spot. Will be back again to stay and also visit the quintessential south London local pub downstairs.

Ample space in the quad room we stayed in. Amenities worked, and staff was very friendly. Was a bit late picking up my keys, and was still able to check in with no hassle. Will definitely book again the next time I’m in the area.

Lovely staff who went above and beyond for residents. awesome atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too. Relatively central and secure and good drinks. Didn't try the food but thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be returning! Thank you staff @ hourglass

This place was a massive disappointment. The facilities and cleanliness was well below par and I can't believe there are positive reviews on Trip Advisor and ***********. When I explained that I refuse to stay there and would like to request a refund, all sorts of excuses came out. They said the manager is not available and I should come back at another time. I feel like I was robbed.

Horrendous accommodation, shouldn't be in business. Horrible, dodgy, unsafe area. Absolutely no cleanliness whatsoever - I think friends might just camp out here - You can get so much better in London for the price as well. No customer service skills. No idea how these are still in business after ripping everyone off. I am not a picky/moaning person either, see my other reviews. This was just vile....

rooms were extremely ran down, ghetto like, unhoovered and uncleaned, with questionable stains present on carpets, bed sheets and duvets, plastic bags over smoke alarms which when raised, was deemed normal within the hotel, stains that I believe were blood or maybe poo. Just outright terrible

The room was clean and the staff very friendly. It was also local to all amenities. I’d recommend to anyone. The staff recommended good places to eat and was made to feel more than welcome. Not much more I can say. 5 stars

Going by the price I thought it was a 5 star hotel as my friend booked it for me....£189 for a twin room with dirty old floor. Beyond a joke. Had 1 night in a 5 star hotel for £89 . No idea they think it's OK to charge this amount of ,£ for such a place and location. Just don't even think of booking it. Suspicious of the top rating reviews, clearly friends and family.

This place is overpriced, dirty, noisy and not a nice place to stay. I stayed here for one night on Saturday the 7th of May. I didn't arrive till 9:30 and found the room to be very very small, very basic and dirty. If I'd arrived at the hotel earlier, I'd have cancelled my stay and moved to another hotel. The room was is directly above a pub and the noise goes on well after midnight. There is a pop-up broken wardrobe that doesn't have hangers so you have to place your clothes on the door frame or on the floor which isn't that clean. The bed is right against the wall and there are no chairs to sit on in the room. On the way out I noticed that they will charge you up to £50 if you lose a key or a blanket, which I'm not sure it costs that much to replace. I visit friends in London all the time but will never stay at this place again. I could not recommend this place to anybody? Spend the extra £20 £30 extra and go somewhere that's clean, tidy and much nicer.
