Sp being a few days in LA after traveling for a couple weeks and leaving from LAX. Very nice hotel for our purposes.Chose it because we had an early flight and it was close to the rental car return. The affordable cost wa probably because parking was $75 a day valet with the option to come and go as uou please or self park in a garage down the street for $25 each time you exit. I had booked quickly and didn’t see that so I was surprised. Staff all over the hotel were so nice. The first night our ac wasn’t working but we were too tired to deal with it until morning. Since we were staying another night they moved us, gave us free valet for the day (We used the self park option and already used a credit card so didn’t want to ask about that) and free breakfasts and access to the lounge with drinks and snacks 24 hrs. They were so accommodating. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable I’d stay there again.

Entrance and lobby is quite nice and modern, the rooms are exactly the opposite.
Although is does the job after a long travelday, the room was very outdated.
Bed was pretty good I must say.
Also the fire alarm sounded twice in the middle of the night. The gave us complementary breakfast as a compensation but only after a making a complaint.
Location is pretty good. Near aiport and near Rental cars (10 min walk)
The fitness room is ok. Outdated, but still does the job.

Overall the stay was pretty disappointing. This is the oldest Hilton I’ve stayed in. It’s terribly outdated and in much need of a renovation. The AC was sweating and leaking on the carpet throughout the night. The shower handle was broken and had to be repaired before we could use it. The breakfast was about the same as Fairfield’s breakfast just down the street and theirs is free. Not worth the extra money if you’re looking for comfort next to the airport. Honestly the Fairfield was much better for less money.

It’s very close to Universal Studios Hollywood. Walkable distance, 8 mins walk. There is shuttle bus provided but we prefer walking. The room is spacious and clean. The stuffs are friendly and helpful. Great stay.

This location is around the corner from the walk of fame, which I loved.
Easy check in. Simple room with free WiFi. The only down side is the neighbors around the hotel are SUPER loud.
Overall I would be happy to stay here again.

I stayed for a night for transit and the location was good. It is just 5 minutes from the nearest station on foot (FlyAway bus takes you from LAX airport to Union Station and then you can take subway either B or D lines for 3 stations). There are plenty of restaurants and fast-food stores. I liked there was WholeFoods within 1 block. The room was very very clean and the front staff were all willing to help anytime which was super accomodating. I will stay here again when I come back to LA next time.

YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars;
First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review.
The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-)
Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance.
1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process.
2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance.
Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

PPengguna TetamuThe K mattress & pillows were very comfortable. The room was very spacious & quiet. Cynthia from front desk was very accommodating for my request & had a great stay. The staff were friendly, courteous & efficient. The gated covered parking came in handy for the storm & I appreciate they have 3 well functioning luggage carts for guest use. Gateway Towne Center is within walking, 1 block to Best Buy, Marshalls, etc.

JJohnny B GoodThis hotel is not convenient from the airport. There is no shuttle bus from the airport. We saw a fake review that said there is a shuttle bus. it's so bad! Ctrip should not allow such a review!! When we realised that there is no shuttle bus from the airport, we called an Uber from the airport to go to the hotel. Each way the Uber cost 46 dollars (without tip). Even though the hotel is not very far from the airport. We don't know why it's so expensive. So we paid 100 dollars just to from and to the airport. We are not happy about it :(
So don't stay at this hotel if you are going from the airport. Don't make the same mistake we did and waste your money.

아침 식사가 매우 잘 준비되어있어 놀랐어요. 토스트는 물론 오트밀과 와플, 밥까지 기호에 따라 든든히 아침을 먹고 준비할 수 있습니다. 욕실과 화장실, 세면대도 구석구석 있어 불편함 없이 사용했어요. 스탭들이 애쓰는게 보입니다. 도미토리에 거부감이 없다면 아주 좋은 숙소예요.

Breakfast was nothing fancy but was also fine. More options than I thought there would be. The traffic was a bit alarming in the morning getting to the airport. Would recommend leaving early to allow for time.

Upon arrival from AUS at 8.30 am my phone battery was flat and my bank travel Mastercard card wasn’t working so I was unable to pay the taxi driver. I was travelling solo and hadn’t slept in 36 hours so I was stressed and barely lucid when I walked in to the hotel. Lucia at front desk took care of things for me. We got my phone working, got the cab driver paid then she called house keeping and organised a room to be cleaned ASAP so I could check in early. I was in my room in bed by 10am thanks to her.
After a lovely afternoon out and about, the next morning I woke up vomiting and running a fever. They don’t have room service so the front desk staff brought anti-nausea ***** and water up to my room within 3 minutes of me calling. They offered to phone and check in on me throughout the day as they knew I was travelling alone. The next morning when I checked out at 5.30am to get to LAX I got in my Uber and as it was about to leave the woman on front desk came running out, stopped us from leaving and said to me “you said your Uber’s a Nissan, this isn’t a Nissan, you should get out of the car”. It turned out a previous guest had taken my Uber. Once we realised this, the driver of the Uber I was in would not take me, told me to leave his vehicle and get my bags out of his car. As I had a plane to catch and was worried I would miss it, the same front desk lady rang me a cab which arrived in minutes. If you are a solo traveller STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. To top it all off Lucia didn’t charge me for early check in;
she said given how stressful getting there had been, it was the least she could do to help. Gifts from God and great beds to boot!

The staff were very friendly and accomodating, they were able to let us check in a little earlier than usual which was great as we had just got off a 14 hour flight and very jetlagged/tired. Rooms looked recently renovated, very clean and tidy. Aircon was nice to have on.
Overall not much to complain about. There was a smell (cleaning/perfume/flowers?) which is mentioned in other reviews, however we didn't find this unpleasant at all and got used to it. Having the Airconditioner on seemed to reduce the intensity.
Only downside is that it's a bit of a distance from tourist areas (15-20mins by Uber) so if you don't mind, this is a great place to stay.

PPengguna TetamuExactly what I was looking for in Los Angles. Stopped in Los Angles for the weekend before heading to Hawaii. I wanted a hotel that was decent and in a good location without the crazy cost associated with LA. I typically don't want to throw a ton of money at a hotel as we just use it as a place to sleep and shower. To that end, Wilshire Crest fit the bill to a T. Big room, nice bathroom renovated recently with good Wi-Fi. It appears to be a renovated apartment complex. No real view of the city, our room overlooked the courtyard. Plenty of light. Individual AC and mini fridge in the room. There were not a ton of plugs to be found, think studio apartment. No USB that I saw. It is a 2 story building without an elevator so if that is an issue, please let them know ahead. The carpet may have been a bit dated, but I found it to be clean an kept up nicely. We had no problems checking in. There is on street parking included, and we were able to find a place quite close every time we went out. Bag breakfast was left by the door after 7am. Sort of a Continental Breakfast with some additional yogurt and bananas. The desk was manned all the time, and the door was locked at night, but staff was very pleasant and responsive to anything we needed. It was walking distance to a few restaurants one block away, but the street it is on was very quiet. If you simply want a nice place to stay while in LA, I would highly recommend Wilshire Crest.

Lots of food then thrown out, it was like packaged scrambled egg, small overcooked mini sausage, and diced fried potato. Lots of overseas guests cane after 9-00am no food? People leaving before 7-00am missed out as well! Room was okay and bathroom was very clean!

PPengguna TetamuBooked this hotel cause it said they had a pool got there, and they closed up the pool a year ago or so. The elevator would get stuck in between floors. The breakfast was very small, only enough room for maybe 3 people to get their breakfast. Other guests would have to wait outside until the room would clear out. And the future was very old, paint on future was chipped off. The mattresses are old and stained. The pictures on their website shows a really nice rooms.We were stuck there with no car. We will NEVER EVER stay there again. I paid almost $1500. for 8 nights. Not worth it at all. We were so disappointed.
