Wij kwamen op donderdag 21 juli aan in het hotel. De kamer was niet schoongemaakt, overal lag vuil. De nachtkasjes waren vies, hadden allerlei verfvlekken. De regendouche was kapot en het water liep langs de achterkant. De douche deuren konden niet dicht, dus de hele badkamer werd nat. Ook de badkamer was smerig en er zaten bruine vingerafdrukken op de muur in de badkamer. De wc bril bewoog als je erop zat. Er lag een joint op het balkon. De kamers waren super gehorig, wij konden onze buren horen douchen, horen praten, horen lopen, zo erg dat je er in de nacht wakker van werd. De haarföhn zat niet standaard in de kamer, deze kon je lenen bij de receptie. Nogal primitief. Ook geen kluisje voor spullen dus geen fijn gevoel. En tot slot hadden we geen airco. Tijdens ons verblijf was het rond de 40 graden. Wij hebben dan ook gekeken of er airconditioning in de kamer zou zijn. Dit zou er zijn. Dit was er niet. Er was een luchtrooster in de kamer waardoor koude lucht zou moeten komen. De regelaar hiervan zat in de gang en regelde de temperatuur van elke kamer. Deze werd blijkbaar vaak uitgezet of op een hogere temperatuur, waardoor wij het weer snikheet hadden. Na 1 nacht hadden wij het gehad en wilden wij eigenlijk zo snel mogelijk weg. Wij hebben dit gemeld bij de receptie en er werd direct in orde gemaakt dat we het geld van de resterende nachten terug kregen. Dit is het enige positieve dat ik over dit hotel te zeggen heb. Er werd ook direct het lijstje langsgegaan van onze opmerkingen en de kamer werd gecontroleerd. Hopelijk wordt er iets mee gedaan.

This was our first stay at the Principe Pio Hotel, we booked a room with a Palace view. On arrival we were upgraded to a top floor suite by very friendly staff on reception. The room was delightful and looked like it had recently been decorated. We had terrific views of the Palace. The room was kept in tip top shape on a daily basis and nothing too much trouble for the staff. One minor gripe was the mattress was a little firm for our tastes. Our first night was inadvertently spent with the windows ajar and it could be noisy as it’s on a main road combined with the peacocks calling from the palace garden. From then on with the windows closed it was absolutely fine, the aircon worked very well and was whisper quiet. Although this is classed as a 3* hotel we had a safe, fridge and tea making facilities to make our stay really comfortable. There is a roof terrace with plenty of seating to enjoy the sunshine too.

Best hotel in Madrid regardless if you come on holidays or on work. As the motto goes everything is set for work and play. Very central location only a walk to the old town Plaza Mayor and the nice Latina and Letras districts thus next to M30 and 10 minutes to Atocha main station. Bus stop at the door and Metro down the road. Parking on site. Nice, spacey, modern rooms, excellent breakfast, lots of spaces to work , excellent breakfast and food ( with daily menu), wonderful top roof bar and pool with view to the Palacio Real and super friendly and helpful staff. Best value for money and lots of fun. Working never felt so playful. Definitively the place to go regardless is biz or pleasure.

Stayed one full week in Madrid and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The hotel was recently opened and had a special musical touch to it, located right in the center of Madrid by Plaza Mayor and Sol. Rooms are well appointed spacious, and quality amenities ,beautiful rooftop terrace and even though the hotel has a theatre/concert venue you will not hear much! Many artists usually perform at the famous theater venue in the lobby which adds a fun vibe to the experience . However I really need to highlight the staff especially Maria Garcia one of the managers a true professional and did all she can for me to enjoy this experience, always there to help and assist making sure my experience is top notch. Tania the guest experience manager was extraordinary, knew all the answers to my questions and recommend great restaurants, found the perfect transfers to take me to the football stadium, and more. She is a superstar Also wanted to mention Alvaro front office manager, always smiling and accommodating! Bravo!

Two of its rooms are located behind the popular Schweppes sign. It has two terraces, on the 7th and 9th floors of the building, with unbeatable views of Gran Vía and Madrid de los Austrias (open in the summer). On the first floor, its elegant Food & Bar Capitol is located on the corner of the building and preserves the original bar counter that was in the cinema at the time of its inauguration.

We were not booked to stay here, but had a crisis where we were stranded due to the Madrid marathon. Most of the roads in central Madrid were closed at short notice due to the marathon. Every road near the hotel we were booked to was closed. We were stranded in a long distance taxi, unable to reach our destination for several hours. The taxi dropped us at this hotel, who were excellent. They looked after all our baggage, and invited us to use their rooftop cafe and bar for lunch (which was great ), all with pleasant and helpful service. Highly recommended - excellent service ethos and flexibility.

We stayed at the Hotel Opera recently for the second time, to celebrate a special Wedding Anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel is centrally located, right next to the Opera House and close to all the attractions of central Madrid. We had nothing but excellent service from the staff throughout our whole stay - they are very responsive and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you need including a few little extras like a comb and shoeshine. Breakfast was excellent every morning, a great choice of English-style and continental offerings, The Spanish tortilla and home-made fruit tarts are particularly recommended. You need to book breakfast at a specific time, and this avoids the ”scrum” that some previous reviewers have described. Just two things prevent me giving a 5-star review. First of all it is some time since the hotel was refurbished so some of the fittings are starting to look a little tired. Secondly the cafe has changed since we were last there, it used to be possible to get tapas-style snacks from a counter display 24/7, now it is table service with hot food only available when the kitchen is open - in the evening it starts serving at 8pm which is a little late for us, so if you feel the same you need to go out to one of the many good tapas bars around. But overall we love this hotel and will certainly revisit!

La struttura è carina, attrezzata e pulita. La camera piccola ma con tutto il necessario, il letto super comodo con 3 cuscini ciascuno!!! Favoloso!!! Spazi ben organizzati, ottima pulizia e un bel profumo ovunque. Unica pecca , il bagno ricavato all' interno della stanza con un divisore in plexiglass è davvero scomodo, la doccia è ampia ma ha solo il soffione mentre servirebbe una doccetta, anche per compensare l'assenza del bidet, il wc invece è in uno spazio ristrettissimo e la privacy è impossibile. Per questo dico che si può star bene ma per massimo due notti, poi la necessità di un bagno come si deve si avverte! Posizione ottimale per visitare il centro.

I have stayed in many hostels before but at TOC it was the first time I stayed in a shared room ( female only). I was a bit worried as I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great. The hostel is awesome, has friendly staff and is the most modern hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were quite nicely soundproofed as you couldn't hear much from the hallways as it is usual for other hostels. In my 6 bed female room, we had 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers - it was enough. :) I will be coming back, definitely!

We enjoyed being so close to the centre of Madrid and visited the Royal Palace as well as an opera at the Teatro Real. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the Museo Reina as well as local tapas restaurants. Hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed the choices of fruit and sausages!

PPengguna TetamuWe had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza. The room was comfortable and modern. The bed was enormous, largest I've seen and beyond a king bed. We joked that we could have fit 4 people on it. The pillows were also fluffy and shapely. There is a mini fridge that were able to use to store cheese. The bathrooms have fig products. While I wasn't a fan of the scent, it didn't linger and Crowne Plaza is not stingy about products. There is hand soap and body lotion next to the sink. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are in the shower. This hotel also has tissues (a rarity in Spanish hotels) and soft 2-ply toilet paper. Minor touches but they definitely elevate the experience. The towels smelled clean and there were glasses for use throughout the room. The only feedback was the staff wasn't very welcoming or helpful. We checked in late and the night receptionist seemed bothered to see us and didn't have any suggestions for where to eat. We later asked if there's a channel that has the Real Madrid football match and they had no idea. We checked out early in the morning, around 7am, and there was a wait when the receptionist prioritized check-ins but who checks in at 7am? He forgot to email the invoice and when I emailed for it, that took 2 tries and almost a week to get it.

PPengguna TetamuAs a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. Further, upon entering, we discovered that Mr. Flores and his team were kind enough to provide us with several 1 liter bottles of both sparking water (Vichy Catalan) and sti

Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!

PPengguna TetamuEl hotel es nuevo y el personal se esfuerza por dar un buen servicio. Camas cómodas y habitaciones aisladas. Viajamos con persona en silla de ruedas y el hotel está totalmente adaptado. El hotel está en un polígono y no hay nada cerca. No ofrecen comidas salvo unos bocadillos. Este es un tema en el que deben mejorar. En el baño también deberían poner algo más de luz . En general una estancia agradable para pasar un día de tránsito.

Good hotel facilities.
Good star services.
Good breakfast.
BUT be careful to select the room, my room get a big column inside living room and bath room, very bad experience.
I book the Superior twin room, but not superior, only at 1/F. No place to put our luggage, no table to put our accessories.
May be you have to pay more to book large room will be better.
And bad entrance design, you need to to go inside through a staircase, will be a problem if you have heavy luggage.

PPengguna Tetamu2 nights there. Very nice checking, eye-contact, body language, speech, correct approaching and fast. I felt welcome.
The hotel: I loved the kind like dark-atmosphere, it's not a sun-like bright hotel, it's elegant and classic. Don't expect cheap Chinese LEDs ON every corner. Furniture and colors are very inviting to a relaxed state of mind. The room was big enough, classical furniture, 2 comfy armchairs, heavy and blocking light curtains do the job. Bed, quite comfy and big. Wrong pillows. I would have enjoyed more if a 3rd (extra) bed wasn't there. Is the idea to make me feel more lonely? :-) Reception made a cock-up. I'm single traveler, I booked for 2. I didn't bother to ask to remove Soundproofing: once you step out of the lift: no echo on large aisle. Carpets floors all over, solid furniture plus all the surrounding trees makes the trick. Once inside the room: you hear next door people having a conversation, doors opening. Seriously! It really sucks! I went ill, upset stomach and I didn't felt relaxed to use the closed as much as needed. On the other hand: the adults games? How to manage it? Mute on?
Parking is super. It's approved even for those with only 2 remaining points on theirs driving license. :-)
I would come back as a single traveler.

DDr. T The TravelerTo start my review I will point out the positive things which were unfortunately not that many.
The hotel is well located to most everything in Madrid via Metro or walking distance to all restaurants and shopping wishing the center of town. Great foodie destinations and shopping are close by, and that’s where the positive comments will stop.
Upon checking in the first signs of poor service were obviously there. They mentioned that because I booked via the “App” Trip.com or other then we would not be considered like others who booked via their own site or preferred partners.
The room was on the first floor and next to the housekeeper room which was non-stop and especially first thing early morning was my alarm clock at 7am everyday whilst on my vacation, so clearly not a a good thing.
Second and another very important issue was the A/C which didn’t work correctly and was making noise, the room was warm and humid the whole time, I mentioned to the reception within 10min of checking in, 4 nights and nothing was done to improve or correct this issue.
Any request or comment was never taken in a professional, responsible or respectful way. As I was on a well deserved vacation I didn’t want to get angry and cause more stress to myself, but I was clear that I would not let this pass without commenting on it.
The breakfast was good, clean but very limited in regards to selection. When requesting your eggs as they mentioned at each table the request was always ignored and just whatever was available even cold eggs as times were sent out. I had to request each day that my eggs were to be prepared soft/runny and they usually brought out cold m, dry and overcooked. So they would give me a look when I asked to please prepare as requested and then after some time they would come back with the order as mentioned.
Over all it was an effort that I don’t need or want at each stage of the interaction with staff and the facility.
I will stick to my usual Usual choice which is Bonvoy group of hotels next time.

Desayuno buffet normal, Máquina cafe/zumo, bolleria:napolitana/croissants/bizcocho, algo de fruta,mermelada y cacao huntable
Nuestra llegada fue tarde, no ofrecen servicio de cenas ni opciones a bocadillos, disponen de un máquina de vending pero estaba estropeada, quedaban los productos enganchados y no salían, disponen de otra máquina de cafes/chocolate que fue la única opción de cena
La habitacion es justa, al lado de la cama una pileta para lavarse las manos y una ducha, la puerta no cerraba del todo, x lo q el agua salia..independiente se encuentra el wc. Dispone de jabón de manos y gel de ducha
Cama cómoda,unicamente una almohada para cada persona, television plana en la pared y ventana al exterior que no puede abrirse del todo ya que dispone de un tope

PPengguna TetamuRooms very basic, our room had a broken sink with 3x cracks in it, but did have clean bed linen and towels, shwer was hot....aircon was good, kitchenette ok.? no kettle so used a pan. The male staff member that checked us in was rude and unhlpfull. Apparently all rooms in this place had.. ###” recently been refurbished??🤣🤣 ” ### poor soap dispensers 1 of which was broken😅😅....***. ” think green washing up liquid for soap ” **** and the cheapest of toilet roll.... We were here (all 128 of us for the Andre Rieu concert)....3x coaches..in total in this and the sister place/ hotel the Genova. My /our breakfast was poor and you had to go to reception for a ” ticket for breakfast 🤣 ” then leave the hotel and go to the tapas bar next door??....whats all that abou? Breakfast was €5 apparently...1xcoffee, 1 xjuice and 1x crossiont or 1x tostada😂 it was a joke really 😣😂😂....no bar in hotel? It was more like a hostel really...not God value for money...asvwe were within a group package it's difficult to work out costings for our stay 8th to 11th February 2022? Costs next week are approximately €67- €75 per night.....all in all not a happy person, would have not booked had we been coining independently. Would I stay here again/recommend? Not a hope in hell.
