This is a five star hostel. It’s in a prime location, near puerta del Sol, churrería 1902 is just around the corner and El Corte inglés too. The beds are comfortables and the rooms have a pleasant temperature. The best part is that they offer a safe for free and it made my stay much better as I was able to leave my passport and electronics in it. You need to bring your own padlock or pay €8 in the reception to close the locker you’re assigned. The only downside is that the beds don’t have a curtain and one of the guests snored all night so I couldn’t sleep that night.

Lovely hotel, amazingly centrally situated, and so we were able to walk to all the things we needed to see and do. Breakfast excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food. Staff generally very kind and polite. Our one complaint was that the TV in the bedroom we had, kept losing or freezing the picture on the BBC world news channel, and a small icon kept appearing from LG, which after waiting a while restored the screen. We complained about this on the first morning we were there, and the reception noted it and siad an engineer would go and attend to it. This was not done and for the whole stay sadly we were frustrated by the TV which was really of no use to us what so ever. I have read other similar stories on Tripadvisor about the same complaint, and so clearly the hotel is aware of the problem but seemingly chooses not to do anything about it. This is a shame, beacuse something so easy, and expected would make a huge difference to one's enjoyment of the room. Other than that, really we had no complaints, and would certainly stay again.

In fact, we decided to cancel our Booking reservation, because. even paying the extra amount due to a reservation with no charge cancelation: 1. Just received a message (*1) stating that my Credit Card was going to be debited for ”one night stay” ; this today, April, for a reservation in November ; reason invoked: they have to assure that the client will pay., and this through Booking.... 2. Answered, imediatly, that I dont authorize any debits on my Credit Card ; received a message with a printscreen saying that they were intitled to do it: NOT TRUE To make it short, after being in 42 countries, 3 continents, more than 400 cities, and I lost count in how many Hotels I ve been..., I m simply astonished how an Hotel in Spain, allows itself these pratices....; Besides violating the rules of Booking (I guaranteed a payment of refundable with an extra fee, with my Credit Card)they lyie about being entitled of doing it (the printscreen doesnt match my reservation) I´m Economist, so, I do understand that these procedures are, a cheap way (% interest..) to finance themselves with customer´s money ; What I really dont understand is how Booking allows it...... I recently had the misfortune of staying at Hostel San Lorenzo, and I cannot emphasize enough how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with the overall experience. My stay at this so-called ”hostal” quickly turned into a nightmare, thanks to the gross negligence and lack of security measures in place. Upon checking out, I foolishly trusted the staff to keep my belongings safe at the reception. Little did I know that this decision would lead to the theft of my backpack, which contained my laptop and other valuable items. The audacity and lack of accountability displayed by the staff at Hostel San Lorenzo are beyond comprehension. Not only did I lose items of significant personal and professional value, but the callous response from the management when I reported the incident was truly disheartening. Rather than taking immediate action to investigate the matter or offering any form of compensation, they brushed off my concerns as if theft were a common and acceptable occurrence at their establishment. The lack of security cameras or any reasonable safety measures in the lobby area is a blatant oversight. It's evident that the management at Hostel San Lorenzo is more concerned with cutting corners than ensuring the well-being and security of their guests. This incident has not only cost me financially but has also left a lasting negative impact on my overall travel experience. I strongly caution anyone considering staying at Hostel San Lorenzo to think twice before entrusting their belongings to an establishment that clearly lacks the most basic standards of security and customer care. My advice: seek alternative accommodations that prioritize the safety and well-being of their guests. Your valuables and peace of mind are worth far more than the discounted rates offered by this disgraceful establishment.

We are an American couple from California. We don't usually write reviews but our experience at this hotel was so special that we just had to write a review. Our room was very nice and comfortable, but it was the customer service that we found so excellent. From the moment we checked in with the wonderful welcome at the service desk, and for the four days we stayed, was always so friendly and helpful. The bellman and Adrian were ”standouts.” Patricia, the concierge, was incredible. She always went way out of her way to arrange side trips, extra services and extra details we needed. She was really wonderful and so gracious. For these reasons and much more we plan to return to this hotel again.

設施：一般，沒有拖鞋、沒有牙刷，要了衹有牙刷沒有拖鞋，在酒店光腳兩天。 衞生：正常的衞生打掃，還可以。 環境：周邊環境還可以，主要定他就為了地理位置好，不用打車就可以逛市中心。門口就是西班牙廣場，走路十分鐘可以到大皇宮。樓下就是一個超級大的zara。這點很滿意。而且頂樓的bar住店客服可以不用套門票，直接上去觀景。 服務：24小時的服務，雖然東西提供的不夠全面。在西班牙和葡萄牙的其他酒店都可以提供拖鞋，除了他們家。 早餐不錯，非常好的性價比，建議大家都去感受一下。

This hotel is very close to Atocha station, so very suitable for me as i travel to Barcelona and Toledo from Atocha. The hotel looks quite new and clean. I like the modern interior design. They also allowed me to put my luggage in the hotel after check out for 3 days when i traveled to Barcelona, that provides great convenience for me! Overall, can consider this hotel again if visit Madrid in the future.

Escogimos el hotel debido a su cercanía al Wizink Center (a un paseo de unos 15 minutos). También porque mis amigos iban en coche y necesitaban su parking. La estación de metro de Diego de León está al lado mismo, en la calle de Juan Bravo. Sin embargo, el hotel está en una calle menos principal y bastante tranquila. Cerca del hotel había muchos restaurantes y diversas cadenas de comida rápida. También un supermercado Aldi, que nos vino muy bien. Compartimos 3 amigas una triple y la habitación estuvo muy bien, con camas muy cómodas. Quizás la única pega fue que los edredones daban bastante calor, porque hizo muy buen día. Junto a las mesitas de noche había enchufes (tan necesarios) y una lámpara para leer. El cuarto tenía una silla y escritorio, con hervidor, te, café y tazas. También había una nevera y una caja fuerte en el armario. Había un televisor, pero no lo utilizamos. La wi-fi funcionaba bien. El cuarto de baño tenía dos toallas por persona, muy buena ducha, geles y champú. También cepillos de dientes, peines y loción para el cuerpo. Genial, además, el espejo de aumento. El secador iba un poco lento y no calentaba mucho, pero cumplía su cometido. Comimos en el restaurante al llegar. El menú tiene muy buen precio, alrededor de los 14 euros. La berenjena frita de primero estaba realmente rica. El segundo, pollo a la cerveza, no me gustó tanto, pero estaba bien. Incluía postre, que fue tarta de queso. Muy buen servicio y nos atendieron muy bien pese a llegar un poco tarde, en mi caso. Al día siguiente preguntamos si podíamos hacer un desayuno continental y nos dejaron hacerlo por unos 4 euros. Ya nos advirtieron que así solo podíamos coger café con leche o similares y tostadas o bollería, pero no del resto. Creo que podría haber cogido zumo, pero no lo hice por si acaso. Esta fue una solución un poco improvisada por parte del hotel y hubiera estado bien que dieran las dos opciones y que estuviera más claro el precio y lo que incluye desde el inicio. El buffet tenía muy buen aspecto, pero no todo el mundo necesita tanta comida por la mañana. En general, muy buen hotel con muy buen servicio y trabajadores muy amables. Tomo nota de él para futuras visitas y conciertos en el Wizink Center.

A lovely hotel. Excellent rooms and breakfast very tasty and good calue. The room had good AC controlled by the reception desk. Only issue is looks overlook lobby and not an exterior window.
