Hotel Mewah di Madrid

We got an awesome room, great location and super Fun pool. It’s super popular with the Instagram crowd and they cater a bit to them. But everyone is super nice and friendly, treated our kids lovingly although they accidentally threw away our baby’s lovie and couldn’t find it later which super sucked. The bathroom flooded because it was so full of hair from previous guests, kind of gross. Got an absolutely terrible night sleep because you can hear every single Thing in the hotel from next door to above you. They seemed to be vacuuming rooms at 1:00AM above us and moving furniture which was super loud. Food was great, service was excellent but alot of snotty people.

The hotel is located in Salamanca district. Nearby there are many boutiques of famous brands. So, if you are going shopping for Madrid, this hotel is a great choice. Despite the rather modest appearance, the inside of the hotel is very elegant. Light and cozy rooms. Wonderful service. Lovely breakfast.

As a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. This hotel is absolutely stunning. Upon check in we were given a warm welcome, and I was wished a happy birthday. Our room was beautiful, bedding great, we were able to choose the firmness of the mattress and preference of pillows. Furnishings were comfortable with plenty of space as well as closets and drawers. My husband was sick with some sort of cold, they brought extra water and tissues. They even offered medical assistance. Luckily, I brought medication with us and he was back to normal in a day. Every aspect, lobby, hallways, staff were wonderful. I was disappointed that my birthday was not recognized beyond when we checked in. We did have a small tower of small plates with cheese, meat and olives on the table when returned one day. I find it hard to believe that was for my birthday and not given to every guest. When we were at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace in Budapest a few years ago, a cake, champagne, and a birthday card, were delivered to our suite. My birthday was also recognized in their restaurant. This was a disappointment to be sure. We would definitely stay here again, as the location and hotel are really wonderful. I will rate Dani restaurant separately. I'll just say the reviews by Coastal046..... and valeriosA are accurate. We were there for eight nights!

Went to meet a friend at their cafe and was very impressed with the black and gold colour scheme throughout the lobby and the cafe area. The cafe has a nice seating layout with very comfortable sofa’s and some decent arm chairs. The service is also second to none & the coffee was really nice. It also was rather reasonably priced considering the location. Would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area :)

Great Customer Relations Team running the place. Location & rooms are comfy & food is good. The breakfast/restaurant team are top, starting with SERGIO who is super attentive and efficient. The front of house team are amazing, Maru & Juan to name a few…. Including the front door team, Brian & Issac too! Despite the renovations in the lobby, our stay was memorable.

Super great hotel to stay. Very nice smile at the front desk and concierge. MO is still my favorest stay choice with no doubt.

From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff at Urso were simply fantastic. Welcoming, helpful, attentive, informative and impressionable are only but a few ways to describe the team. Arturo was top of our list and a special thanks to him. The hotel itself is well located, beautiful, clean and modern. My feedback to customers would be to check the finite details when booking through third parties as this may deprive usage of their excellent spa facilities. In addition, if you are used to a firm pillow, it is suggestible to carry your own as Urso only provide the softest pillows! Happy travels!
