Nice location and good activities Service and room are so so They do some renovation so we have people sit in front of our door all the time. Shouldn’t sell the room that not completely done

This is the second time we've stayed at Shandrani and we don't normally go back to the same place. There are likely to be further visits in the future as well. What do we love about Shandrani, in short everything, for more detail read on! We are a family with 2 sons who were aged 15 and 17 when we visited, and the hotel was fabulous for them. I will never forget their faces the on our first stay. They looked through the lobby to the pool and sea and their mouths dropped open in shock. It is a moment that will always stay with me. The boys could safely explore, play tennis and table tennis, participate in water sports and drink copious amounts of chocolate milkshakes (trust me the blender broke whilst we were there and I swear it couldn't cope with the rate they draw them). The water sports are included and there are so many things to try. I snorkelled for several hours every day. I saw lion fish, flute fish, eels, incredibly colourful fish, fantastic shells and corals and it was the most relaxed I have felt in a long time. On our last day I snorkelled for around 10 minutes with a turtle which no one else had spotted. I was like a child at Christmas, what an incredible experience. We also used the pedaloes, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, my husband and children learnt to windsurf, glass bottom boat, snorkelling trip etc. The food is absolutely wonderful. The buffet has plenty of choice, there was only one night when there was little left, however we were much later that night. The a la carte restaurants were wonderful, we tried every one of them. We had dinner at the Italian on my birthday and the staff came out with a lovely chocolate birthday cake. I tended to be on the beach between 9 and 10 am and was one of the first there so no fight for sunbeds. We are generally more of a pool family, but the surroundings and beach at Shandrani are so beautiful that we were converted. I loved being on the beach or the balcony of our room and watching the bats, particularly around 4pm onwards. The new beach hut for drinks and towels is a nice touch, it wasn't there last time we were. The staff are incredible, particularly Ashven who checked in with us regularly whilst we lazed around the pool, he never seemed to stop smiling. I loved him surprising me with drinks when I asked him to choose for me. I was beyond shocked when he remembered all of us from our last visit 2 years previous to this one. He is an absolute credit to Shadrani. Our room was lovely with a fabulous view (like all Shadrani rooms). The area is safe and I was able to run on the local roads without feeling scared. The gym is small but has everything you need. If you want to play tennis take some tennis balls with you so you don't have to pay. I'd also take beach shoes to swim in. On the negative side, no holiday will ever live up to Shandrani for us and we can't wait to go back but given the eldest is 18 very soon it will be a lot more expensive for us!

Very good customer service and helpful staff. Rajiv manager at Italian restaurant and all his staff were superb with us. The Italian food was very delicious The staff are always caring and does not differentiate between Mauritians and tourists. The rooms are very comfy and good.

Awesome place with awesome staff. It's the 3rd time we are coming to Shandrani and it will definitely not be last time. Looking forward to the next vacation at Shandrani. The food was very delicious and the birthday cake for the occasion of my husband birthday was perfect.

We came here with our two kids in 2016. Since then we've been to many hotels, but none have come close to Shandrani. Eight years later we're back (for our 28th anniversary). Everything is as superb as we remember. Everything is top quality. Ever staff member is attentive and lovely. The food is fantastic. The all inclusive is superb. The buffet still has waiter service for drinks etc. This feels like a five star plus. I can't recommend this place enough. It's streets above every other hotel we've been to. We've just had our meal in our anniversary. We had a special cake given to us. Today we've had flowers delivered, along with a bottle of champagne. We're sure to find here again, and again.

We had an amazing weekend getaway at SHANDRANI (RESERVATION NO : QMU_S-536455). From the warm welcome, the polite and helpful staffs, amazing views and food variety, great entertainment, lovely room, just to name a few. We also made requests prior to our stay for a room not far from the amenities (restaurants/pool) and a room with nice sea view. Our requests were gladly taken into consideration. They also offered a free birthday cake to my fiancé. We wish to thank you and we will definitely be back.

Loved the Hotel for its beautiful beaches, and the very welcoming staff. In particular, I would like to express utmost gratitude to our Valet Pretum , dear Shandrani if you are looking to impress someone who is there for the first time ..assign them Pretum very neat and pays great attention to detail. The food is lovely with a wide selection,which is great for family not to mention the down to earth and friendly Executive Chef Mooroogun who we had an experience to meet . Doris one of the Chefs was very pleasant too as she recollected her Parent's stay in Zambia , making us feel even more at home. The evenings were always so as we enjoyed the beautiful displays of Mauritanian culture and great music, too. We made quite good friends, too. If you are looking for a place to recharge Shandrani Beachcombers is definitely the one it has alot of free activities too making it an even more enjoyable experience.. Thank you, Shandrani

Lovely stay! Situated close to the airport. Staff is very friendly and helpful, clean facilities. Plenty to do. Shout-out to Arwin for the delicious cocktails, our room was spotless everyday thanks to Seevaum. The food is amazing with plenty of options to choose from. There is lots to do like snorkeling, glass bottom boat (very insightful great skipper), SUP, ski, etc and all inclusive at no additional charge. Great gym, lots of equipment. So much to do, that you don't need to leave the resort. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. Beautiful golf course with the ocean in the background. Lovely stay and worth while.
