Ulasan Ostello Bello - Milano Duomo

Located on the shopping street Via Torino, just a 10-minute walk from Hostel Duomo. I stayed for 3 nights. My room was on the first floor. First of all, I’d like to mention that this place doesn’t feel like a hotel with a bar inside; rather, it feels like a bar with a hostel inside. Especially on my floor, I could hear the noise and music from downstairs until late at night. I’ve experienced that hostels are social and lively places, sometimes noisy, but the noise here isn’t the typical hostel noise— IT IS BAR NOISE. It seems like the hostel is more focused on attracting customers from outside than creating a social environment for its own guests. The use of a digital key card on the app is innovative, but having to use the app every time to access the stairs, elevator, and room can be tiring. Although it’s not the hostel’s fault, on two of the nights I stayed, there were two different people in the room making a lot of noise and behaving rudely towards others. I reported this to reception through the app, but it took them a long time to respond. If a quick reaction isn’t going to happen, then what’s the point of using this app? The metal storage drawers under the bunk beds make a lot of noise—they should have been made of wood. Aside from the bar area, there was no one on the terraces or in the kitchen. It really feels more like a bar than a hostel. Gotta admit I liked that the kitchen was well-equipped, with power outlets and snacks available. Cleaning outside of the bathroom areas was done haphazardly and carelessly. I also noticed several guests lying on their beds without putting on sheets and pillowcases. In my opinion, the cleaning staff should ensure bed linens are set up before check-in. The duvet smelled unpleasant and should have its own cover as well. Lastly, I had to wait 15 minutes at check-in. The receptionist decided to escort the guest before me to their room without even asking for my permission. I’ve never seen a receptionist escort a guest to their room at any other hostel. Fortunately, another staff member came and completed my check-in. Other than the location, there was nothing positive about this accommodation.

This was my second time staying at an Ostello Bello property. It was still a great stay, but the Ostello in Como felt a lot better in comparison.

Good hostel! Clean, free food and friendly staff. The location is nice as well. I recommend to try this chain of hostels in other Italian cities.

Close to city Center and very good location. I will recommend my friend to book this hotel. Service good and clean. Breakfast is also good too. If I go to Milian again I don’t mind to live in there again. No room key and use code to get in room. Easy and environment friendly. There are different type of room to choose. Restroom is clean. Although the room is small but ok. A lot of shop, restaurant, landmark nearby hotel. If short trip to Milan, I would suggest this is best choice of hotel. There are room for group of six too. Have kitchen for those guest if they would like to cook and gathering.

Nice hostel with a great atmosphere & nice vintage decoration in the common area. Confortable and clean bedrooms & bathrooms. The hostel is also using super modern technology, as you'll need an app on your phone to use the elevator or open your room's door. Ultra warm welcome at the reception, super friendly staff, as I've rarely seen before :) Free welcome drink & great breakfast, cooked on demand. I didn't expect that so it was a nice surprise ! The only negative point I'll write is about the noise, as there was work in progress near the hotel (so not their fault at all...). To sum up : highly recommended place !

It’s enough for one night stay. I was staying at the first floor but at night outside was noisy because the grand floor is like a pub. That’s was a one negative point.
