I spent my last night in the suite after staying two nights in one of the standard rooms, and I absolutely loved it. The suite is spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. Every detail feels well thought out, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The bed is very comfortable, there’s a cozy sofa to relax on, and everything is perfectly organized. The bathroom is large and modern, with all the amenities you could possibly need, including a hair dryer, toothbrush and toothpaste, toiletries, and even earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. One of my favorite features was the private terrace with the jacuzzi and comfortable chairs. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day exploring Athens. The view was also lovely and added to the relaxing atmosphere. I also really enjoyed having a Nespresso machine with good coffee capsules for the morning. Small details like these made the stay feel even more special. If you’re considering the suite, I highly recommend it. It was stylish, comfortable, spotless, and definitely worth the experience.

The location is wonderful: within walking distance to all attractions ( 6min to Syntagma Square, 6 min to Monatisraki Squrare, 9min to Plaka...). Hotel is easy to find thanks to sign posted at the corner of Perikleous and Thissios. Very close to restaurants and shopping yet very quiet at night. I had the Pegasus room: it is spacious, with high ceiling, large windows and a balcony. The decor is modern and elegant. Bedding is comfortable, shower is good. There's no front desk receptionist per se, but the cleaning lady was there around 9AM to probably 4PM if you need help with anything. And she is a gem, cheerful and helpful. One drawback: the phone# listed on the voucher doesn't work on weekends (not sure it works on weekdays either) and there's no way to leave a message. I happened to check in on a Monday (3PM is the official time), I tried to contact the hotel on Saturday to get the needed info: tough luck, nobody there to answer the phone. I had to wait till Sunday at 4:40PM to get what I need. When I travel I plan from A to Z myself and it would be nice if I could get whatever info I need more than 24 hrs ahead of time.

The location is great as we’re surrounded by restaurants and minutes’ walk to the vibrant city. We selected a room with an Acropolis view but it’s really just a tiny glimpse of the Acropolis in between buildings. The balcony was not very clean so we didn’t stay out much but the room was clean enough. Thanks for complimentary bottle of wine 🍷 for our honeymoon but too bad we don’t drink 😅 Some local desserts would be nice 😊

Great location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day. Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website). Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’. Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath. Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely. In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with great water pressure. I also appreciated the small touches like complimentary bottled water, quality toiletries, and a well-stocked minibar. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive. Overall, a perfect and relaxing stay — highly recommended.

I was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, it’s all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. I’ll come back next time I’m in Athens.

However, the layout makes sensible use of the available area, and the decor and furnishings feel modern and comfortable, making it suitable for short city trips. In terms of noise and cleanliness, the experience was satisfactory and allowed for a restful night. From earlier visits, the breakfast stood out as a strong point, with notably high quality and variety for this category of hotel. On the most recent stay, breakfast was not tried, so it is not possible to judge whether the previously high standard has been maintained. In summary, Skylark Hotel Athens is a good option for guests seeking a stylish base in Athens with a reasonable price-to-quality ratio.

The hotel is located about 10 minute taxi ride outside of Athens but as a result it has the most stunning views of the entire city particularly the puffin on from its night story restaurant. It’s a five star hotel with a paralleled access to swimming pools and luxuries that are not common in Athens hotels I highly recommend staying here

As it was our honeymoon this was our first booking and it was almost perfect the location wasn’t ideal as it was out of the way but the hotel was very nice and it had everything we needed.

The exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly. None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly. The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough. The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long. The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
