RRenee LeeThe location is great as we’re surrounded by restaurants and minutes’ walk to the vibrant city. We selected a room with an Acropolis view but it’s really just a tiny glimpse of the Acropolis in between buildings. The balcony was not very clean so we didn’t stay out much but the room was clean enough.
Thanks for complimentary bottle of wine 🍷 for our honeymoon but too bad we don’t drink 😅 Some local desserts would be nice 😊

PPengguna TetamuThe location is wonderful: within walking distance to all attractions ( 6min to Syntagma Square, 6 min to Monatisraki Squrare, 9min to Plaka...). Hotel is easy to find thanks to sign posted at the corner of Perikleous and Thissios. Very close to restaurants and shopping yet very quiet at night. I had the Pegasus room: it is spacious, with high ceiling, large windows and a balcony. The decor is modern and elegant. Bedding is comfortable, shower is good. There's no front desk receptionist per se, but the cleaning lady was there around 9AM to probably 4PM if you need help with anything. And she is a gem, cheerful and helpful. One drawback: the phone# listed on the voucher doesn't work on weekends (not sure it works on weekdays either) and there's no way to leave a message. I happened to check in on a Monday (3PM is the official time), I tried to contact the hotel on Saturday to get the needed info: tough luck, nobody there to answer the phone. I had to wait till Sunday at 4:40PM to get what I need. When I travel I plan from A to Z myself and it would be nice if I could get whatever info I need more than 24 hrs ahead of time.

Our stay at Ocupa Hotel Athens was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed — the team struck that ideal balance of professionalism and warmth, and we immediately sensed we were in an LGBTQ‑friendly space where we could fully relax.
The design of the hotel is stunning: modern, stylish, and thoughtfully curated without ever feeling pretentious. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Waking up to views of Athens and stepping out into the city within minutes made our long weekend feel effortless.
The staff were always ready with recommendations, from local restaurants to nightlife, and every suggestion hit the mark. Whether we were enjoying a drink in the lounge or returning late after exploring the city, we always felt at home. It’s rare to find a hotel that blends style, comfort, and inclusivity so naturally.
We left already talking about when we’d return. If you’re a couple looking for a chic, welcoming base in Athens, Ocupa Hotel is an absolute gem.

PPengguna TetamuLocation is great for multi purposes. Lots of food and coffee shops around . Walking distance to art, music and history places. Great for visits to Evaggelismos hospital. Need upgrade the hair dryer and the fridge also needs to be programmed to be a bit cooler than it is. Clean but the bathroom floor needed a bit more effort (!) - the hose of the hair dryer too, Towels smelled strongly of disinfectant , made you feel safe but not pleasant. Neutral breakfast, basic actually, not for picky eaters but satisfying a hungry stomach. Tv was not offering movies' rental. Wi fi really good for streaming. Helpful staff both front desk , dinning room attendants and handyman/housekeeping. Great touch the sage from Crete at the coffee tray. Toiletries offered a body balm - not bad at all

PPengguna TetamuGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

PPengguna TetamuI was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, it’s all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. I’ll come back next time I’m in Athens.

It’s a five star hotel with a paralleled access to swimming pools and luxuries that are not common in Athens hotels I highly recommend staying here

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didn’t book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis.

+ the breakfast is good, they offer a lot of options
+ staff are nice and helpful
+ the location is super convenient
- the pool, if you search for a good option with a pool, it’s not one of them, the pool itself and the area are way too small for the amount of people staying here, so it makes no sense to go to the pool even, it’s too busy and only works from 10 to 7
- the rooms are dark and barely have windows
- the ac makes noises in the middle of the night, maybe it’s too old
- the vent doesn’t seem clean as well
Overall, not a bad hotel. But rather than booking a hotel with a pool you’ll barely use, I’d suggest to check beaches in Athens, which are very beautiful, clean and not far from the city centre (about 8km).

PPuay Teck OngThe exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly.
None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly.
The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough.
The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long.
The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
