Hotel berhampiran Colombaio Romano - Via Latina, Rome

Sono certa che ognuno di noi abbia la propria scala di fattori per valutare se un posto e' bello o brutto ma che siano le persone il valore aggiunto. In questo hotel pulito, carino e molto comodo , vicino alla stazione di Roma Termini sono proprio le persone che fanno di un piccolo hotel, un punto di riferimento per i nostri viaggi a Roma. Paola della reception e' stata, ed è, la persona che ci ha seguito in fase di prenotazione e che si è fatta in quattro per aiutarci a proiettare le nostre fotografie su una parete, di una saletta allestita solamente per noi, un gruppetto di fotografi arrivati in città per un corso di fotografia di due giorni. The hotel is very modern, lovely sized room and really comfy bed! You get a hairdryer in the room (ladies!) and there is a mini fridge to leave your own drinks. Aircon worked perfectly and some fancy lighting above the bed! Really close to the 160 bus stop that takes you to the centre of Rome for €1.50 (pre pay on the app!) and also some lovely restaurants and cafes for food. Short walk from the 716 bus to take you to Rome Termini. Lovely staff- although confusing when one member let us have water complimentary and another charged for it. Only improvements would be to have tea coffee in the room for in a morning, and also don’t expect the Beth room to be super clean- in need of a little TLC.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my friend. 10€ a night was a great deal. Met some fun people at the hostel and had a good time. Location was also convenient with grocery store and bus stop to most places near. My only complaints would be there is extra fee with city tax 10€ each we were not told about. Bathrooms have strange odour, and air conditioning was on all night when it's already quite cold. I ended up getting a cold from the air con. And also me and my friend were 2 women and we were put in 8 bedroom room with only men so was wary of safety, especially since one of the men tried to ask me to sleep with him in the middle of the night! But again the type of customer is not the hostels fault. If you want a cheap place to stay and don’t mind not living in luxury, come here for sure also a great way to meet new people in the city.

Hotel di media fascia che gode di una particolarità difficile da trovare in questo periodo: la cordialità, la semplicità, la cortesia e la grande preparazione professionale dello staff che opera nella reception e nella sala colazione. Ineccepibili. Assolutamente ineccepibili!

In my 4-bed dorm room were all ”capsule beds” with sliding doors for a nice privacy which could also be locked from outside (so the bed to be able to use as like a ”big locker” in addition to the proper one which is the drawer right below the bed); and yes a nice-length table & a good-sized ensuite bathroom made my 6-night stay in the room I would say quite an agreeable one. And, also a nice hang-out area was the ”outdoor terrace” on the ground level with plenty of tables & chairs (just to be aware of some ”big flies” & such if having a meal there). And located in something like a ”leafy neighborhood” with tree-lined streets, there are also a number of ”convenient establishments” around (cafes, restaurants, a supermarket & a barber shop where I got a haircut) among which there was my usual go-to Chinese food place which is a ”pretty tiny” one a little hard to find but with quite excellent food items (to the left after coming out of this place, then left again on the big street pretty much right away, then across the street straight ahead when getting to the big intersection where the Manzoni metro station is followed by a left turn on the other side of that street, in all just like a 5-to-10-minute walk from this place to that small restaurant). And if arriving/leaving by train, located at just about a 15-minute walk away is the Roma Termini station (with also a number of places to eat in & around the station including not one but two McDonald's and also a nice Indian restaurant just across the street from the station).

The hotel has a certain charm as soon as you walk in. There is no glitz or glamour, just a certain well established feel about the woodwork and decor. Reception were always great, handled things effectively with no fuss. Rooms are basic, but it is a 3 star so don’t expect any more. My bathroom had certainly had a re-fit in the last few years so that was great. Breakfast is a simple buffet, focussed on coffee, croissants, pastries and cold meat / cheese. What’s not to like. Great price for its location.

Very nice staff in the best location in Rome ,I always go there and will go again .

Our stay at the Hotel Archimediocre was strange to say the least. The hallways and common areas were fairly nice, and the breakfast was okay. However the rooms were a rather different story. Our room was shared between three, and two of the beds were pushed up against each other so we had to essentially share a bed. The sheets and towels were unclean and there was hair all over them, suggesting they hadn’t been cleaned properly. My sheets also had holes in them. The shower was inconvenient, as there was no shower curtain and no plug, so we had to take showers sitting down in the bath (which was stained). The privacy was limited. Our window looked out onto a utility area which was very dirty. The utility area also seemed to be used as a smoking spot for the staff. However, since the window was not airtight, the smell of cigarettes filled our room frequently. What’s more, our blinds didn’t close all the way and we saw the staff looking into our room through the window several times. Our friend’s door handle fell off the door too, which made opening and closing the room difficult. The air conditioning was functional, however it made our room smell disgusting. Since our trip was in the spring this was not too much of an issue, but had we travelled a few months earlier this would have been another story. The staff were not unkind but neither were they overly warm. However, the location of the hotel was good, and our stay overall was not too bad.

I was nervous about travelling alone for the first time, but the staff (Alessio, Flavio, Martina and Bianca) made my trip unforgettable. The team are so funny and friendly. Alessio (the bar manager) provides the most entertaining atmosphere and is a true credit to the hostel. My private room was clean and comfortable with beauty Italian decor. The guests were a mixture of solo travellers and groups (generally 20-40ish) but everybody was made to feel welcome and included. Thank you to Alessio and the team for a phenomenal experience!

I only had a short stay here but I enjoyed my time. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a quirky place, easy to navigate round and I found it useful to be able to use the lockers before and after my check in/out. I found the price to be more than reasonable and would definitely recommend.
