Hotel berhampiran Palazzo Silvestri-Rivaldi, Rome

Upon arrival, the reception person was standing outside smoking, but at least he was hospitable. Later we asked for 2 additional pillows - when we returned, they were on our bed wrapped in baby sheets for a cot (teddy bears in diapers included!) instead of pillowcases. We showed the housekeeper the next morning and she was shocked. We had specifically asked for a quiet room when we booked this room, and we were assigned a room next to a building with a rooftop terrace - chairs and tables scraping the floor well into the night. With this nuisance, and the noise from the air conditioning system, we did not sleep much during both nights of our stay. The room was very disappointing - the size and quality rooms presented on the Profumo website are deceiving (wide-angle lens photos?). We had two suitcases and could only open one at a time (we could not fully open the door because one suitcase had to stay behind it) and the bathroom and shower were very small. Also, the “luxury” furnishings are worn and tired - not so upscale as advertised. The first morning we went to the breakfast room at 8:45 and most things were gone or almost gone and had not been replenished. On our second day, there were two other staff present at the entrance - neither of them bothered to look up from their phone when we entered or left throughout the day (not speaking but browsing, social media, etc.). You could walk-in and walk right by them whether you were staying there or not. Not very secure (not to mention extreme lack of hospitality and professionalism). Our final morning, the housekeeper began loading her cart directly outside our door at 7 am, waking us. This was so noisy that it sounded as though she was in the room with us. We were on holiday and this was not a pleasant way to begin our day. We spoke to the manager when we checked out to express our disappointment (there is no management on site on the weekends). He was apologetic and asked us to send him an email - to which he replied with nonsense excuses provided by the staff. We booked this hotel based on location and great reviews but obviously, those reviewers paid a much less rate than we did. At the price we were charged we expected a much higher quality of room and service...I would suggest if anyone has booked at a rate of more than 200 euros (more than its worth, way less than we were charged!) for a Saturday night and less during the week - don't bother. You can easily find more value for the money in the area.

The hotel was great- it's located 10 mins from termini central station (so easy to get there from the airport and no need to walk alot with your luggage), and from piazza della repubblica (so close to another metro station). The location was great because it's walking distance to everthing you want to see (I only took the metro to the vatican- you could also walk there, which I did on the way back when I had more time). There are also good restaurants, gelaterias and shops in the area (as it's located next to via nazionale and the opera house) and they are usually less expensive and crowded than those near famous sites (so I ate there almost every evening). I had a single room which was clean and had everything I needed (comfy bed, safe, hot water, wifi, etc.). The staff was really nice and helpful (they are there 24/7, and you can leave your luggage with them if you need), and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit! I have never been to a place where a hotel feels like home. This is one of the amazing benefits of staying in Ostello Bello. The staff, bartenders, and night shift felt like absolute family by the end and I truly will never stay anywhere else while in Rome. Fravio (hope I am spelling that right) made my trip with his kind and friendly demeanor. All of the bartenders made me feel at home and welcome at all times. Treating me more than fairly in every citrcumstance. The rooms were clean and nice, with working showers and good facilities. I truly have nothing negative to say about my visit.

The hotel is located very near to the Termini Station with easy access to most locations in Rome. The rooms have a bit of old-style charm and are spacious and comfortable, especially when travelling with multiple family members. The buffet breakfast at the top floor offers a wide variety of good-quality items, and is truly a highlight at this hotel. The service staff is friendly and attentive, and will rush to your aid when experiencing any difficulties. The cleaning staff helped us when we were having issues with the key, and the desk staff helped us change to a different room without any questions asked. Truly very friendly.

Accommodation in Rome is insanely overpriced at all price points…However, if one wants to stay in central Rome then this is definitely a great hotel to stay at. Clean, modern, great customer service, extremely comfortable bed! What more can one hope for from a couple of nights stay. It should be noted that the area around Termini is not the nicest in Rome, however the hotel is at least located in the (relatively) better part of the area around termini.

I’d say the place was quite charming. Very strategic positioning near Roma Termini, and also close enough to lots of the roman tourist spots. The staff was very kind and helpful. There was plenty of hot water for bathing. Breakfast could have been richer in nutritional values, but you could still get your cappuccino and croissant for your typical Italian breakfast. Would return again. :)

I would have liked to rate the hotel as 4.5* however our room was at the front of the hotel and even with the windows shut it was very noisy from the large road junction outside, plus there was noise from other residents and tvs in other rooms, maybe some soundproofing needs to be carried out. That having been said the location was excellent, an easily walkable distance to main attractions, plus a metro stop is directly outside the hotel. The area felt safe at night and there some very good restaurants to try which are only minutes away. Should you wish to go shopping then there are plenty of non-designer shops to choose from nearby including a very good department store called COIN. Our room was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, the linen was super soft. Cleaning through the hotel was of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, everything you might want and the most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had in a hotel. There were salads, pastries, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, different cured meats and cheeses, sausages and bacon and vegetarian options. Top marks for the hard working breakfast staff. A great start to the day. Staff generally were friendly and helpful. At reception were snacks and drinks to welcome you which was a nice gesture. The hotel also has a small restaurant, ideal for lunches or if you are too exhausted to leave the hotel at night. We had pizzas and salads there a couple of times for lunch and they were very good. The reception area is good with couches, they will look after your baggage if you have a late flight. A very enjoyable stay.

Sono certa che ognuno di noi abbia la propria scala di fattori per valutare se un posto e' bello o brutto ma che siano le persone il valore aggiunto. In questo hotel pulito, carino e molto comodo , vicino alla stazione di Roma Termini sono proprio le persone che fanno di un piccolo hotel, un punto di riferimento per i nostri viaggi a Roma. Paola della reception e' stata, ed è, la persona che ci ha seguito in fase di prenotazione e che si è fatta in quattro per aiutarci a proiettare le nostre fotografie su una parete, di una saletta allestita solamente per noi, un gruppetto di fotografi arrivati in città per un corso di fotografia di due giorni. We have stayed in many 5 star properties over the years but the Ambasciatori Palace, Rome really blew us away. Service was incredible. Staff was abundant and ready and willing to assist at all times. The hotel was renovated last year and every inch of the property is opulent. They truly paid attention to detail. There are 2 great bars, one on the rooftop and one in the lobby. We stayed in a junior suite that was large and gorgeous. This would be our choice again in Rome.

We booked this hotel for a three night stay before our cruise. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our corner room had a cute balcony and the décor, furnishings, and vibe is sexy modern. They have a fabulous restaurant where you can grab the breakfast buffet. So many amazing choices. We also had dinner here one night and drinks another. It's tucked away in a very lively and fun neighborhood. Around the corner are tons of restaurants and shops. It's a 6 minute walk to Piazza di Santa Maria where we bought souvenirs, ate gelato and pizza, and hung out with the night crowd. The main street around the corner It's a 35 minute walk to the colosseum and a 45 minute walk to the Vatican. We did each of these on different days. It's definitely centrally located and I would stay here again.
