Es war sauber, für den Preis eine ganz gute Lage und Ausstattung. Das Zimmer war okay, kein renoviertes Zimmer natürlich, aber das Bett war groß und bequem.

The service is so good. They left one employee check in at midnight. They also provide a complimentary bottle water when you ask for it.

It is smacked right in the center where homeless people are so as a foreigner, we feel safer to go out by car (they offer a parking lot in the building) or use Uber ir Lyft. Very clean room. Very lovely housekeepers. Don't expect much from the front desk. No breakfast available.

Beautiful old hotel right in downtown Financial District area. Lots of downtown shopping, stores, high end fashion and general stores. Hotel breakfast available for purchase was delicious but pricey. Lunch options would be great. Front desk and concierge were both friendly. Microwave and colder fridge/ better air circulation in room would have been nice.

It is a clear and tidy hotel with no doubt. However, some of its staff were extremely rude. I went down to ask them if the hotel offered turndown services. The man starred at me then asked, in a highly disrespectful tone, “what do you mean by a turndown service?” Completely shocked that I would encounter such a question at a Nikko hotel, I could not say a word for like ten seconds while that man continued starring at me. How can I reason his behavior if not an intentional embarrassment?

Comfortable stay. Check-in was seamless. Not crazy about the dreaded destination fees, but it came with credit for the bar/restaurant/room service, plus others. The stand-in bartender was nice. Valet folks was always nice as well, greeting me/guests as they returned to the hotel. I liked this property...until a day after I left; received an email from the hotel claiming that I took a full size bottle of shower gel and they were going to charge me $30. First of all, I haven't had the pleasure staying at a nice property (I am a Lifetime Titanium member with Marriott Bonvoy) where they leave out full size bottles for guests. Some properties have full sized bottles affixed to the walls in the shower. Secondly, I did not take the bottle of shower gel. Obviously this is a he said/she said issue. But why would a property leave out full size bottles for guests? Was this in hope of guests taking them and charging them $30/bottle? I responded to them and they said they were giving me a ”one time exception” and will credit me for the charge. I did not appreciate the language used. Definitely need more training if they were to expect high level guests to return.

It’s my second time back in this hotel but this time I got to stay at the Landmark room. The room is spacious, as usual the location is superb! Just at Union Square, walking distance to Chinatown and as well to the cable car. $25 daily for the fees is mandatory to be paid but you will get in return of a daily credit for that amount and two steel bottles and two cable car ticket one way! Amenities is superb, bed is amazingly comfortable!

I want to share my recent experience at this hotel, which I regretfully cannot recommend. The hotel has an attractive location but is marred by a lack of basic amenities and poor customer service. During our six-night stay, we discovered on the second morning that there was no hot water. We informed the receptionist, Andy, but were met with a dismissive and rude attitude. We were informed that there would be no hot water for the rest of the day, and this lack of basic amenities was for a total of three days of the six days of our stay. Please note that according to California Civil Code §1940.2, it is the responsibility of the hotel to provide and maintain hot and cold running water for guests. To make matters worse, when we requested to check out early due to this issue, we were offered no refunds as our stay was prepaid on expedia. Expedia told us that the property was to decide while the property said it was expedia.. As I am a hotelier myself, I know it is the hotel’s call in the end. We were offered a shower facility in a separate building which was very inconvenient as we had to walk out of our building and take elevators to get there.. This was not a suitable alternative to the basic amenity that we had paid for. To add insult to injury, at time of check out, Andy offered us only $80 as a refund on a reservation worth over $1500, what a humiliating act, we could not believe it! Better not to offer anything, because really it is a shame to offer this to people.. We were one of the many customers to complain, and we saw that the receptionists had no sympathy towards anyone.. Yes, all businesses are there to make money, but not like this. What they did is close to stealing from someone! I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers, and I will continue to write on other platforms to warn people..
