Lovely quaint hotel that feels like it has some history. The renovations are modern with a comfy bed, pristine sheets and plush towels. The upgrade did a good job of keeping to original aesthetics and respecting the classic building. The location is a minute walk to Union Square and next to other bigger chain hotels. The staff were all very friendly especially the check-in with Vivian! Her friendly welcome and 5 star customer service after a long flight in was greatly appreciated! Comes with coffee and pastries in the morning in the lobby area before you start your day exploring the city. Will stay here again upon my return to SF.

Excellent choice! Super satisfied with my room cleanliness and size and the lady manager in the front desk was so helpful and hooked me up with a nice view. I will definitely stay here again. So near everything. Love it. Make sure you check out the roof top view at the restaurant bar, amazing!

It is a clear and tidy hotel with no doubt. However, some of its staff were extremely rude. I went down to ask them if the hotel offered turndown services. The man starred at me then asked, in a highly disrespectful tone, “what do you mean by a turndown service?” Completely shocked that I would encounter such a question at a Nikko hotel, I could not say a word for like ten seconds while that man continued starring at me. How can I reason his behavior if not an intentional embarrassment?

Beautiful old hotel right in downtown Financial District area. Lots of downtown shopping, stores, high end fashion and general stores. Hotel breakfast available for purchase was delicious but pricey. Lunch options would be great. Front desk and concierge were both friendly. Microwave and colder fridge/ better air circulation in room would have been nice.

The room booked was spacious and the room rate also include breakfast. The hotel lobby also provide coffee and tea. The hotel is within walking distance to the cable car stop to travel to Union Square and Chinatown and also Fisherman Wharf.

I loved staying at the Samesun Hotel! The staff was amazing in ensuring that we were taken care of during our stay. The room was very clean and I loved the location of the hotel. The hotel lets you store your baggage in their closet while you wait for check in (early arrival) and even after you check out if you have a late departure. This allowed us to explore the city and not have to worry about carrying our baggage with us everywhere we went. The staff was also very helpful in providing us with food recommendations and places to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cute quick get away. Everything was convenient, affordable and most importantly, it was a comfortable stay.

I want to share my recent experience at this hotel, which I regretfully cannot recommend. The hotel has an attractive location but is marred by a lack of basic amenities and poor customer service. During our six-night stay, we discovered on the second morning that there was no hot water. We informed the receptionist, Andy, but were met with a dismissive and rude attitude. We were informed that there would be no hot water for the rest of the day, and this lack of basic amenities was for a total of three days of the six days of our stay. Please note that according to California Civil Code §1940.2, it is the responsibility of the hotel to provide and maintain hot and cold running water for guests. To make matters worse, when we requested to check out early due to this issue, we were offered no refunds as our stay was prepaid on expedia. Expedia told us that the property was to decide while the property said it was expedia.. As I am a hotelier myself, I know it is the hotel’s call in the end. We were offered a shower facility in a separate building which was very inconvenient as we had to walk out of our building and take elevators to get there.. This was not a suitable alternative to the basic amenity that we had paid for. To add insult to injury, at time of check out, Andy offered us only $80 as a refund on a reservation worth over $1500, what a humiliating act, we could not believe it! Better not to offer anything, because really it is a shame to offer this to people.. We were one of the many customers to complain, and we saw that the receptionists had no sympathy towards anyone.. Yes, all businesses are there to make money, but not like this. What they did is close to stealing from someone! I cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers, and I will continue to write on other platforms to warn people..

酒店裡有做核酸檢測，所以就選了這家酒店，空間較大，床很舒服。酒店外面是一個廠，白天比較吵，沒辦法睡懶覺。以上説完了重點就來了。 我8.7日入住酒店10號離開。 除了10號早上退房遇到了比較正常的前台，感受到了温馨和服務以外。其他幾天都是黑人前台，並且在8.7日入住的那位黑女人，可以説是歧視了。我checking 房間電視沒信號，遇到各種問題對方都是冷漠對待，回答我問題頭都不抬。甚至我打電話過去，我沒講完她講完了就直接掛電話，及其沒有禮貌。直到我我wifi有問題拿着電腦下去找她，她回答了我一半把我晾在一邊不説，對白人客人叫一個熱情，搞得我以為我自己在看黑人變臉節目，還給了別人機場大巴的schedule。我就和她説我也需要這個，她就給了我一張。總之我感受不到任何服務。衹有歧視，不是很理解她的生存環境她遇到過多少歧視導致她的服務這麼扭曲，但如果因為她的表現讓整個酒店減分，我在美國的這麼久沒有想到是在酒店遇到了一個黑人的歧視。而且第二天還是黑人前台，難道領導是黑人招的全是黑人。黑人就算了來電正常的服務做不到嘛，作為洲際的會員。我在這家酒店的遭遇讓我感受非常差。雖然這裡有核酸我也推薦大家去對面的威斯汀，我去對面他們對我非常好。請大家沒事不要去找歧視了。在這家酒店沒有人任何道歉行為之前。我堅持我的態度和意見以及口碑。
