The room is decent for a city hotel, catering more towards business travellers. The hotel is conveniently located, a 30-minute walk to Ortigia's island city but less than 5 minutes from the Archaeological Park of Neapolis. Getting to Ortigia is easy via a quick ride on the red bus costing just €1.50, payable to the driver. The reception is notably friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, offering a brilliant variety of food and drinks. Additionally, there is a large supermarket around the corner of the hotel. Parking is free.

It’s fantastic experience because of the nice staff of this lovely hotel , the location is great , very convenient to go anywhere by foot , the most important is the reception is so kind and helpful , they contact you before you arrive in case you need any help . Not only the staff are great , but also the decoration of the room is wonderful as well , very clean and comfortable , I spent my two nights happily there , great !

Our second stop on our two week Sicily vacation. Location was perfect, ten minutes walk from train station and ten minutes to the great sights and restaurants in Ortigia. First of all the negative part of my review which is why I didn't give it five stars, the check in was not very welcoming at all infact I would say frosty, there was no real communication and I was convinced I was going to be told I had no reservation. Luckily we did have a room which was perfect, lovely big bed, nice sized room, and great bathroom, cleaned immaculately each day. Breakfast was great mixed selection of hot, cold and sweet things, staff were friendly and courteous, lovely breakfast room very relaxing indeed. Negative was poor wi-fi Check out was different to check in, quick, easy and lovely pleasant guy on reception.

We had a great stay once again for our wedding anniversary, the 1st time was in 2019 when we stayed a night after getting married. So it was great to relive this experience. The staff is very kind and helpful, food excellent, but most of all we enjoyed the spa. We saw the difference in how it was before and how it is now, and all i can day is wow, especially the salt cave. The improvements and upkeep of the spa is incredible. Great job to all of you.

We stayed during a TUI tour of Sicily and this was evidently chosen because it was very cheap. There was another TUI tour group staying on the same night, so it was clearly catering for this market. The Hotel - it was dated and the rooms were in a terrible state, with furniture broken, an unpleasant smell and the bathroom flooded with water after using the shower. The Staff - rude and unhelpful, in particular on reception. I note that they say English is a language that they cater for, but they refused to make any effort to communicate in it at all. The Food - awful, unless you think that a spoon of risotto, a mackerel fillet, spoon of iceburg lettuce and slice of watermelon makes an acceptable meal. That's the problem with an inclusive package i guess. Dreadful hotel to steer well clear of. I am surprised that TUI are using it - they must have a lot of negative feedback.

Non siamo avvezzi alle recensioni ma questa era d'obbligo. Abbiamo celebrato e festeggiato il nostro matrimonio presso il Grand Hotel Villa Politi. La giornata è stata impeccabile oltre ogni desiderio, il banchetto un successo. I nostri ringraziamenti vanno allo chef, al personale di cucina e sala, al maitre, alla proprietà e alla direzione ma più che per il meraviglioso evento per la gentilezza e pazienza impiegate nell'aiutarci ad organizzarlo. La cura e l'attenzione al cliente sono l'elemento che per noi fa la differenza e il dott. Cannizzaro e il sig. Russo ci hanno accompagnati passo passo con impegno e dedizione.Le camere pulite ed eleganti e il personale in reception pronto ad accogliere le richieste più varie. Dire che lo consiglieremmo è riduttivo, a dir poco: 6 stelle!

De vreselijkste ervaring ooit ! We geven 1 punt omdat de vriendelijkheid van het personeel in het restaurant 'echt' was, tegenover de receptie daarentegen .. We kregen eerst een 'zeer' oude gedateerde kamer op het 2de verdiep. Onbegrijpelijk dat er in 2023 nog dergelijke donkere kamers aangeboden worden: oude meubels, zware onfrisse gordijnen, vuile muren, krakend bed, schimmel in de badkamer, airco werkt niet,... Toen we erachter kwamen dat we geen douche konden nemen omdat de kraan stuk was zijn we naar de receptie gegaan en hebben we om een andere kamer gevraagd. We hebben deze dan ook gekregen na aandringen van onzentwege, want we hoorden eerst als excuus dat er geen vrije kamer meer was. We kregen een ruimere 3-persoonskamers die even donker en ongezellig was, maar deze had een nieuwe vloer en nette muren en de badkamer was tenminste vernieuwd ! De airco werkte ook niet goed, het is een algemene airco voor het ganse hotel die veel lawaai maakt en niet echt koude lucht blaast. Jammer dat deze kamer een onfrisse geur had, dit viel op bij het openen van de deur. Vanaf dat je op je verdiep uit de lift stapte wist je eigenlijk al hoe erg het hotel er aan toe is : donkere gangen, versleten rood tapijt, onfrisse muren ! Het ontbijt : heel teleurstellend... alles ligt er slordig bij, weinig keuze en aanvulling moet je vragen... Het avondmaal : keuze uit meerdere gerechten, en ze zijn lekker... De stoelen in het restaurant zijn oude stoelen met een hoes erover, en weliswaar zijn deze hoezen zeer onfris. Tip voor het hotel : 1) Renoveer ! 2) Schrap de vermelding airco op alle websites want die hebben jullie niet ! 3) Geef geen 'versleten' en 'onfrisse' kamers aan je gasten ! We zullen de touroperator op de hoogte brengen. Dit is de eerste keer dat we zo een negatieve recensie schrijven, maar deze is zeker en vast terecht ...

We were greeted by two smiling, fine young gentlemen, both made us feel very welcome. It was a difficult day because my wife was not feeling well so their professionalism put us at ease. The room was great (205) with a balcony and sea view. It was scrupulously clean and comfortable. The morning of our departure my wife was still not feeling well so I asked for a late check out. Lasindu, a top notch hospitality pro, first said another arrival was coming and an extra half hour was all they could manage. But a few minutes later he knocked on our door and gave us another 90 minutes. What a relief! Service with a smile while going the extra mile…a very good experience!
