Upon arrival at the reception we had problems with the prepayment; It was not possible to pay the price without the prepayment already provided, after about 30 minutes it was possible in cash, not the preferred card payment; the employee justified this with a new computer system. The room was not air conditioned upon arrival and was quite warm; the shower does not drain normally and quickly fills up to the brim; The beds are a kind of box spring bed: for me (about 85 kg) the mattress was not comfortable. There was only few toilet paper upon arrival, so I called the reception after it was finished, but after about an hour nothing was delivered - not to be expected for a 4 star hotel! The bathroom fan is a bit noisier than I expected and should usually auto stop after a while (although it was connected to the lamp, it usually happens). The thick curtains easily detach from the suspension when closing, and the small room fridge is much too loud (noticeable at night). When exactly is breakfast should be in the folder (I didn't see it at first glance) I liked the breakfast, the orange juice could be freshly squeezed, there should be milk (and lactose free) next to the muesli, and there should also be gluten free bread, but overall good quality of the products; we didn't try the restaurant for dinner due to the high prices. fitness room: Directly the first machine on the left (for legs) doesn't work and it hasn't changed during the week's stay, although we complained, the note with this information had fallen under the bench, so not visible; but otherwise the hall is in good condition The pool is small and during the stay they closed it, it was soon announced that the pool heating would be repaired: heating at 35 degrees outside air temperature? Incomprehensible! I tried to speak to the manager but he didn't seem interested. After we asked for a discount because the pool wasn't working, at least they took away the note the next day. All in all, this hotel did not overwhelm us and we will not visit it again: high standards and beautiful pictures, but unfortunately no coverage in reality.

Missed the connection and had to book a hotel near the airport. This Ibis is fine for the night on a stopover but not much to do around. Still ended up going to town to eat and have a look around so would have been just as easy, and a bit cheaper, if I would have picked a city hotel. The room was two single beds and nothing much else included, reasonably clean but still expensive bearing in mind it is Bulgaria. Fine for late arrival and short stay if booked early.

Well this was certainly something to remember. Stayed here back in May 2018 for a conference. The hotel is a cold was relic, which I would certainly not book had I had the choice. The lobby is huge and empty, and the rooms spread over numerous floors, sparcely decorated, giving you a cold and dreary feeling. The views over the dark city and sweeping, but the location is not central and did not offer anything to orient yourself. There is a quite good restaurant with local cuisine nearby. Sofia itself is worth a visit, the centre is quite interesting and the immense cathedral extraordinaty - worth a visit for its own shake.

I'll start with the positive points first: - I'll start with the positive points first - The minibar and the drinks at the bar are cheap Now the negative points they are effecting mostly the rooms: - The carpet is dirty and the rooms stink. Most probably they never changed the carpet since the hotel was build - The air conditioning was installed later. The hose to dispose the water from the air conditioner goes through a hose into the bathroom and ends above the bathroom floor. this means that the bathroom is always flooded when the air conditioning is on. this is definitely not acceptable. - The room cannot be darkened because the fabric of the curtains is very very thin and translucent. As soon as the sun rises it is not possible to sleep. In my case it was around 05:30AM when the sun came up. This point bothered me the most because I didn't get enough sleep on my business trip. I have visited the hotel Hemus regularly since 2017 when I have not been able to get a room elsewhere. in 2019 they had done major renovations, but I still don't understand what exactly was improved. the points just mentioned above have not been resolved. only the tv was exchanged for a flat screen and the bracket for the old tube tv was removed. Maybe this was the reason of renovation. I hope that someone from the hotel will read this as a general overhaul is urgently needed. Especially with the carpet and the curtains. There's no point in choosing a hotel to relax after a long meeting day and can't even sleep because of the windows that can't be darkened or the smell of the carpet that has never been replaced.

Hotel a poca distanza dal centro, la posizione perfetto, il personale gentilissimo . Camera grande, spaziosa, con tutti i comfort e soprattutto pulitissima. Devo ammettere che una pulizia così l’ho trovata poche volte, il bagno splendente! Bottigliette d’acqua fornite tutti i giorni, la colazione è passabile, c’è poca scelta di cose dolci e il caffè non è un granché. La nostra camera affacciava su strada ma era silenziosa. Letti comodissimi. Tornerei sicuramente.

The room is not too big but very comfortable. The service here is great and the location is perfect . I love the breakfast here , have lots of choice and the food are not bad. Just an small issue happen is that the manger mixed up our room since we have a big group of 12 people , I have upgraded my room but the manger had wrongly give this upgraded room to my friend without notice. But the manger have free out breakfast for apologies which I appreciated that and it’s a very service there.

Bons points: - Le personnel parle anglais et est accueillant. - Literie confortable. - Possibilité de laisser nos bagages à l’hôtel après le Check-out. - Emplacement sécurisé. - Se trouvé à proximité du centre. Mauvais points: - Nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de retrouver un cafard mort dans la chambre lors de notre séjour. - Salle de bain très petite et pas pratique. De plus, elle était remplie d’humidité et nous n’avions pas de savon à notre disposition. - La moisissure était omniprésente sur le plancher et les murs. - Chambre bruyante (passage des avions). - Prises de courant très hautes et difficiles d’accès. - Beaucoup d’araignées au plafond. En résumé, les points négatifs ont malheureusement primes sur les points positifs ce qui justifie notre note de 2/5.

Avrei voluto dare un punteggio in più ma certe cose vanno dette. L’hotel si trova in una zona confortevole per gli spostamenti, vicino c’è una fermata metro che collega l’aeroporto. Si può raggiungere il centro città anche a piedi distanza dieci minuti circa. Le camere sono sufficientemente pulite, il letto comodo anche se il matrimoniale è diviso in due letti francesi attaccati. Il neo è la colazione. Un menu prettamente di pietanze all’americana. Nella lista solo due cornetti farciti con crema fredda banane e panna montata. Inoltre la colazione viene servita nel bar accanto aperto al pubblico quindi in sostanza l’hotel non possiede una sala colazione. Per il resto lo consiglio per un buon rapporto qualità/ prezzo.
