Hotel berhampiran Панчарево парк, Sofia

Upon arrival at the reception we had problems with the prepayment; It was not possible to pay the price without the prepayment already provided, after about 30 minutes it was possible in cash, not the preferred card payment; the employee justified this with a new computer system. The room was not air conditioned upon arrival and was quite warm; the shower does not drain normally and quickly fills up to the brim; The beds are a kind of box spring bed: for me (about 85 kg) the mattress was not comfortable. There was only few toilet paper upon arrival, so I called the reception after it was finished, but after about an hour nothing was delivered - not to be expected for a 4 star hotel! The bathroom fan is a bit noisier than I expected and should usually auto stop after a while (although it was connected to the lamp, it usually happens). The thick curtains easily detach from the suspension when closing, and the small room fridge is much too loud (noticeable at night). When exactly is breakfast should be in the folder (I didn't see it at first glance) I liked the breakfast, the orange juice could be freshly squeezed, there should be milk (and lactose free) next to the muesli, and there should also be gluten free bread, but overall good quality of the products; we didn't try the restaurant for dinner due to the high prices. fitness room: Directly the first machine on the left (for legs) doesn't work and it hasn't changed during the week's stay, although we complained, the note with this information had fallen under the bench, so not visible; but otherwise the hall is in good condition The pool is small and during the stay they closed it, it was soon announced that the pool heating would be repaired: heating at 35 degrees outside air temperature? Incomprehensible! I tried to speak to the manager but he didn't seem interested. After we asked for a discount because the pool wasn't working, at least they took away the note the next day. All in all, this hotel did not overwhelm us and we will not visit it again: high standards and beautiful pictures, but unfortunately no coverage in reality.

Missed the connection and had to book a hotel near the airport. This Ibis is fine for the night on a stopover but not much to do around. Still ended up going to town to eat and have a look around so would have been just as easy, and a bit cheaper, if I would have picked a city hotel. The room was two single beds and nothing much else included, reasonably clean but still expensive bearing in mind it is Bulgaria. Fine for late arrival and short stay if booked early.

Bruyant du au tournoi international des courses ds le couloir à minuit aucun responsable qui intervient . Petit déjeuner correct sans plus pas de fruits . Café mauvais . Personnel peut accueillant Belle vue , proximité métro , et pas loin de l’aéroport Hôtel qui a besoin d’être rénové. Douche bizarrement construite . Lit non fait pendant le séjour Drap changé la veille du départ Quel intérêt 🤔🤔pas de tapis de sol pour la douche

Sadly I have to agree with the negative feedback left by other unsuspecting guests on the fact that the level of customer service here is shambolic; customer service should be the heart of a hotel’s ethos, clearly this establishment did not get the memo. Secondly, by no means should this be classed as a 5 star hotel. Positives: On an international short business trip, this hotel was suggested to me due to proximity for my meetings as well as being within a reasonable taxi ride to Sofia Airport. Below was my experience and suffice to stay subsequent business trips to Sofia have been booked at an alternative hotel where a free full cooked breakfast is also included in the much more reasonable price. Negatives: 1. The manner of some reception desk staff members was what can only be described as disrespectful, insolent, sarcastic and unhelpful as though the guests were an irritation -one in particular was a young woman with mousy hair with her constant eye rolling and looked as though she were an angry expelled student working there as a toilet cleaner and who had been asked to cover reception as there was no one else around -she in fact turned out to be a full time reception desk employee? The reception manager came across as equally arrogant, dismissive controlling and unhelpful and was also clearly bullying another member of the reception team a male staff member who appeared to be in fear of his boss . This 'manager' appeared to have very little respect for female guests too. Other reception staff were also noticed rudely conversing in their language in what consistently appeared to be a hostile manner- as a 5 star international hotel they should be speaking English to the American and British guests who were made to feel as though they were being talked about and were an irritation. There was a general air of aggression and unfriendliness , obviously the tone being set by the unprofessional controlling and intimidating male ‘Reception Manager’ 2. The décor and standard of the hotel was barely 3 star. Apparently this is part of the Accor chain of hotels and recently underwent a costly refurbishment to modernise it? My room was a beige and bland den of gloom; there was an unpleasant sewage type smell coming from the corridors on my floor which pervaded the whole area. The room was on one of the higher floors and all night I was disturbed by something banging near the window, possibly a flag pole or a canopy? The choice of TV channels was poor . The pool area and the seating area where you can view everything from the reception floor looked like something out of the 1980’s . Needless to say we had no desire to use these facilities. The interior was terrible and distasteful in decor and furnishings -this was a million miles away from a newly renovated 5 star hotel. 3. After a long day I ordered food to my room; it arrived looking worse than what one would expect find from a burger van from the side

I'll start with the positive points first: - I'll start with the positive points first - The minibar and the drinks at the bar are cheap Now the negative points they are effecting mostly the rooms: - The carpet is dirty and the rooms stink. Most probably they never changed the carpet since the hotel was build - The air conditioning was installed later. The hose to dispose the water from the air conditioner goes through a hose into the bathroom and ends above the bathroom floor. this means that the bathroom is always flooded when the air conditioning is on. this is definitely not acceptable. - The room cannot be darkened because the fabric of the curtains is very very thin and translucent. As soon as the sun rises it is not possible to sleep. In my case it was around 05:30AM when the sun came up. This point bothered me the most because I didn't get enough sleep on my business trip. I have visited the hotel Hemus regularly since 2017 when I have not been able to get a room elsewhere. in 2019 they had done major renovations, but I still don't understand what exactly was improved. the points just mentioned above have not been resolved. only the tv was exchanged for a flat screen and the bracket for the old tube tv was removed. Maybe this was the reason of renovation. I hope that someone from the hotel will read this as a general overhaul is urgently needed. Especially with the carpet and the curtains. There's no point in choosing a hotel to relax after a long meeting day and can't even sleep because of the windows that can't be darkened or the smell of the carpet that has never been replaced.

Hotel in posizione strategica, in pieno centro e a pochi passi da ristoranti, negozi ecc.. Check in fatto con l'automatico in quanto siamo arrivate molto tardi, in piena notte, e dopo aver seguito le istruzioni arrivate per sms, il tutto si è svolto in modo veloce e perfetto. Camera comoda, camera con bagno. Sul piano due camere che potevano condividere una cucina e soggiorno assieme (noi non abbiamo usufruito di questo servizio, ma molto apprezzato lo stesso). A disposizione degli ospiti anche pantofole e ombrelli per la pioggia. Pulizia della camera (io sono maniaca della pulizia), pulita, ma se si guardava per esempio angoli o ripiani un po' di polvere c'era, ma in generale siamo state davvero bene.

L'Hotel si trova in ottima posizione, a soli 10 metri dalla fermata della Metro, consentendo agevoli spostamenti per tutta la Città. La nostra camera era spaziosa ed abbastanza pulita (abbiamo trovato una grossa ragnatela); ma soprattutto caldissima: in tutto l'albergo il riscaldamento è impostato a 26 gradi! Per fortuna i termosifoni sono regolabili, e si può risolvere il problema. La struttura non ha una propria sala colazione, e si appoggia al Cafè di fianco: considerando il prezzo richiesto per la colazione, e la misera scelta offerta ai clienti (si ha diritto ad una sola pietanza a testa, potendo spaziare tra, in tutto, 4 proposte salate e 4 dolci...) allora conviene rinunciare e decidere di iniziare la propria giornata altrove. Peccato perchè il Cafè in sè non è male.
