The hotel is very near to the dongzhimeng station, and this location is used by a few your companies for day trips to the various great walls. The hotel has its own lift on the left side of the building, direct to fifth floor where the hotel is located. The queen size bed is a little small though for two adults.

The location was very convenient and the hotel staff were very friendly. Everything went smoothly, from the location to checking in to even requesting a late check-out. I loved the stay and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Beijing.

Summary: if you’re in doubt over hotels of the same price in this area, pick this one :) This was the best place I stayed in Beijing. Staff is kind, room is spacious, location is excellent, (free) laundry service is a super plus. I’ll certainly be back.

The hotel is about 1km away from Shilipu subway station. You can ride a bike which will take you about 5 minutes from the station. The hotel’s location is not bad. Head right out and there are lots of local food stalls, a Macdonalds, and a bus stop nearby. Inside the hotel, the vibe is pretty much laid back really. It’s not forced or a grand welcome. Just chilled, people just being normal. “Hello, welcome!” does it, which personally i prefer. Staff don’t speak English but they can assist you with a translation app. I was checked in within 3 minutes, which helped a lot because i was super tired. The hotel is just okay when it comes to cleanliness. I didn’t have much of an issue with the cleanliness. The only issue i had was the sound insulation which made my sleep a bit disrupted because the hotel is next to the main road. You can also hear footsteps in the hallway and people talking from outside their rooms. Overall, This is jan okay hotel. Will recommend for people who need a quick stop-and-go.

Jinjiang Inn (Beijing Tian'anmen Square) — Standard Queen Room, 4 nights --- I spent four nights here while doing the classic Beijing sightseeing route, and honestly, the location alone made it worth booking. You're a short walk from Tian'anmen Square, which meant I could head out at sunrise before the crowds arrived — something I'd genuinely recommend to anyone staying in this area. The Forbidden City is easy to reach on foot too, and Qianmen Street and the surrounding hutongs are great for wandering in the evening. The metro is close enough that getting to other parts of the city was never a hassle. The Standard Queen Room was exactly what I needed. Nothing fancy, but well thought out. The bed was comfortable and I slept well every night, which isn't something I can say about every hotel. Soundproofing was better than I expected given how central it is — I never heard street noise. There was a desk I actually used, a big TV, a kettle (essential in China), and bottled water refilled every day. Plenty of outlets near the bed, which mattered since I was charging a phone and camera every night. The AC worked well and stayed quiet, which was a relief in the July heat. Cleanliness was consistently good. Spotless when I arrived and housekeeping kept it that way for the whole stay. The bathroom had strong water pressure and hot water at any hour, including the busy morning window — not always a given. Toiletries were restocked without me needing to ask. The staff were friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick, and while there was a bit of a language barrier at times, they were patient and clearly trying to help. They gave me directions a couple of times and recommended a local spot to eat nearby, and they held my luggage on checkout day without any fuss. Front desk is staffed 24 hours, which was reassuring coming back late. For the price, the value here is hard to beat. This isn't a luxury hotel and doesn't pretend to be — it's a well-run business hotel that gets the basics right. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough for video calls and uploading photos. The lobby was clean, the elevators quick even at busy times. Everything just worked, which is really all you want when you're out exploring all day. There are lots of small local restaurants and convenience stores within a couple of minutes' walk, so breakfast, snacks, and late-night water were never a problem. I'd stay here again without hesitation. If you're visiting Beijing for the first time and want to be within walking distance of the main sights without paying a premium for it, this is a solid, sensible choice. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who clearly take their work seriously. Four nights here gave me a great base for the city and I left with a very good impression.

I had a decent stay but I experienced two major problems with this hotel. The first was right at the start after I arrived at 4.30pm (checkin is from 2pm) and was told the only available room had a plumbing issue and was asked if I wanted to leave my stuff and come back. Obviously after just having arrived in Beijing after a long train ride from another city and a long subway ride, I wanted to check into a room and change first, so I said I could wait until the room was ready. The floor was wet due to a leaking bathroom faucet and afterwards a repairman came to fix it. The second issue was noisy staff who were loud in the mornings and evenings, which impacted me as my room was on the ground floor. This is despite the hotel being small and not particularly busy. On my final morning (I stayed there 4 nights), the staff were really noisy from 7.30am and remained so for at least half an hour. It didn't even sound like there was any problem or argument, they were just being loud and disruptive, which is unprofessional. There's also a minor issue in which the hotel address number on Trip.com and the number on the front door do not match up. I had an issue finding this hotel though I accidentally found it when I walked into it and asked a staff about my hotel address (she looked at it and said ”this is it!”). My room, after the faucet issue was fixed, was decent and comfortable. The location is good, being a few minutes away from Dongsi station and a large Wu-mart supermarket and Longfu Temple mall.

Saya datang ke Beijing untuk urusan perniagaan dan tinggal di sana selama dua minggu penuh. Ia hampir menjadi rumah sementara di Beijing, yang menyelamatkan saya banyak kebimbangan. Walaupun hotel ini rosak dan hiasan dan kemudahannya agak lama, semuanya berfungsi dan mempunyai rasa bangunan kediaman yang lama, yang tidak terasa tidak sesuai dengan persekitaran sekeliling (sudah tentu, saya menantikan bagaimana rupa hotel selepas pengubahsuaian). Saya menginap di bilik keluarga yang sangat besar.Nisbah harga/prestasi hotel ini agak baik dengan alasan harganya berpatutan dan keperluan penginapan tidak terlalu tinggi. Akhir sekali, selepas menginap selama dua minggu berturut-turut, saya merasakan sikap layanan semua kakitangan hotel, termasuk Komrad Xiao Ren di kaunter penerimaan tetamu, adalah hebat👍🏻. Secara keseluruhannya, ia adalah pengalaman menginap yang sangat baik. Saya harap saya akan berpeluang untuk menginap di Dongsi Hotel lagi pada masa akan datang.

This hotel is located strategically between ShiChaHai and Nanluoguxiang. It is within walking distance to Shichahai Metro Station Exit A1 and A2 which both exit without escalator or lift. Upon check-in we entered our room and a very stinky smell inside the room just made us felt very uncomfortable. When we checked the bathroom the stinky smell even worst. We then asked the housekeeper to spray air fresherner in our room and bathroom. Then we left our room and went out for sightseeing. However, after we came back from sightseeing then we entered our room the same stinky smell appeared. We then complained at the front desk and was told there was no same room type available unless we pay extra to upgrade our room to different type. We were told all hotel in Beijing near the alley was considered old and having stinky smell was a norm. The room was extremely small and no space to put 2 big luggages. We have to find ways to use 1 side bed table to put one of our luggage and to get our clothing and toileterries out. The bathroom was stinky before and after we took shower. We have to ensure the glass door was closed all the time as the air ventilator inside the bathroom not really functioning. The wall of the bathroom was slimy and the one of the 2 plastic slippers was slimy too. We found mould around the corners of the bathroom and outside the bathroom that appeared at the surface of the bedroom wall. The centralised air conditioner was being controlled and only hot air came out everytime we turn on the air conditioner. Hence, the whole room was hot and humid. We have to open the window and worst still there were locals smoking outside of our hotel room window. There were also noises outside the window where we can hear the conversation of the locals who stood outside of our hotel room window. The bed mattress was very hard as if we were sleeping on the wooden bed. In the end, we couldn't sleep well the whole night. We have to put our winter clothing, the towels and the blanket at our back just to make the bed more softer for our back. After the first night, we requested to change room due to stinky smell but failed. The housekeeper proposed to help us to sanitize the bathroom with strong smell liquid chlorine when we went out for sightseeing. Upon returning back to our room, we can smell the smell of liquid chlorine but the stinky smell had reduced. There were limited space to hang clothing especially during winter, so we have to find places whee we can hang our light clothing like t-shirt. Then we saw the air-cond vent was very dusty same goes to the hanging light bulb was full of dust. The side table underneath the TV was dusty too. We have to use alcohol sanitizer to sanitize the table and side table. Overall, the hotel is located within the tourist spot but there were few staircases at the hotel entrance and 2 small staircases along the corridors lead to our hotel room which made it a bit inconvenience when you carried heavy luggages.
