Incredibly helpful lady at reception, really went above and beyond her duties. Spacious room, clean. Very good shower

The hotel is fine. I had one of the tiny rooms (which the site did warn me about). The room could fit a bed and a bathroom (with shower over toilet). The bedding was decent and the shower worked well enough. They provided some real towels though a bathmat for outside the room would be great so you don't track water everywhere after the shower. The drain was initially blocked by they fixed it. Has a kettle. The location is ok (you could walk just over 1km to the zoo). Not too many restaurants nearby. The window opened to a block of flats. Calling that a ”city view” is a bit cheeky. The room is also quite hot in summer, and the bed is like sleeping ok a table, though again this seems standard in Qinghai.

Nice location close to Train Station and transport hub. Close to the market selling Winter Wormwood Fungus with a huge statue of a wormwood. Lots of food choices around. 1 Yuan bus fares to anywhere I think. Too bad it was rainy and cloudy during my stay. Construction renovations going on the building housing the Hotel so expect noise to disturb your stay for the time being or the winter months. Breakfast tickets are for the restaurant next-door which serves bao-zi and soups and noodles. You are allowed anything up to 14yuan total for breakfast. Only problem was the time it took for hot water to flow to the room. It must be a long way from the heating source. Rooms are clean and in good condition for the ratings level the Hotel has.

Xining is a fantastic, vibrant city, and my biggest regret is not staying longer; it deserves way more time than just a quick transit stop thanks to its incredible food scene, night markets, and laid-back vibe. During my visit, I stayed at LETE Hostel, which serves as a solid, character-rich base for exploring the region. The top-floor communal space has real history and soul, beautifully flooded with sunlight, packed with green plants, a massive library, and even three cute resident birds. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly kind-hearted and welcoming, always doing their best to help out. Location-wise, it’s perfect - super convenient for the night markets, local food stalls, and bus stops, plus they offer safe bike storage for cyclists. For the price of a private room, the value and hospitality here are unbeatable, and I would absolutely stay again - and next time, I’ll be giving Xining the full week it deserves.

You get what you pay for. Not the worst place I've stayed, but it's in need of a little renovation. The room was okay, but the women's toilets in particular weren't fully functioning, and the bathroom was quite humid with caked-on dirt. That said, all the rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaning staff do their best. It's secure for solo female travellers and a nice base for easy day trips around the spectacular area. If you decide to come here, check out the bakery nearby! 🌟

We found the hotel easily. The lobby seems to be shared with another hotel. Check-in was possible even late at night. The reception staff upgraded us into a room with a window which was nice. The room in itself is small but functional. The bed is small but comfy. The TV worked well. There's a laundry room that you can use for free but the dryer mode doesn't work. The amenities are outdated and cleanliness is really not what you would expect. Our toilet seat was broken, the sink was dirty (we removed some stains with just water and toilet paper) and it was leaking. The walls have some very nasty stains on it and there's dust and stains on many things inside the room (bedside tables, fan, wardrobe, bedside lights, etc). One very annoying thing is that when you don't close your door properly, there's a loud alarm that quickly starts ringing. Unfortunately, when it's breakfast time, many people don't care and will leave that to ring until they come back, and it's very annoying. Breakfast is Chinese food only and not that great. Plus it is served in a very small room where there's definitely not enough space for everybody so you might have to wait. On the second day, housekeeping took our bath mat and didn't replace it, so we had to use another towel. On the third day, despite putting the ”do not disturb sign” on the door, housekeeping knocked several times until told that we didn't need anything. I mean it's nice of them, but the point of having the sign is not to be disturbed. Depending on when you take your shower, the water can be a bit dodgy (fine at night, but in the morning, it goes from burning to barely hot to burning again which can be annoying). The layout of the bathroom is weird as well as the toilet protrudes in the middle of the bathroom making it complicated to move around, exit the shower or even use the sink (especially since ours was leaking all over). Shower glass doors also don't close properly so lots of water is coming out. Our laundry string was broken so we had to find another way to dry our laundry. I think it's important to note as well that as foreigners, we have been followed to our door by some other guests, and were stared at by others until we entered our room and closed the door which didn't feel safe for my girlfriend. All in all, if you don't care about cleanliness, then it's ok as it's well located.

This hotel received international travellers. Best is its next to famous street food… i do really enjoy the stay here. And its clean too. Just i don’t really like the smoke smell in the elevator.. the rest is fine… hope i will return here again… and i will still stay at this hotel.

大西北的酒店房間也太大了吧，大落地窗看着外面的城景非常不錯，房間環境好，衞生乾淨整潔，衞生間也很大，洗澡水非常給力，工作人員服務非常熱情，接待很有耐心，不嫌我們多問幾遍，小姐姐人美説話温柔，酒店大廳很有氣派，位置好找，門頭顯眼，停車方便，交通便利，點贊，還有早餐，對我們旅遊的人來説住着非常方便

ON ARRIVAL, ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE ROOM RATE FOR THE DAY IS LOWER THAN WHAT YOU BOOKED. THEN CANCEL YOUR ONLINE BOOKING. 😄 Bathroom was not quite clean and you can smell the slight unpleasant odour from the drainage. Second day, the room was not made up and water bottles not replenished. The water from the water cooler machine in the lobby was terrible and tasted like water with chemicals in it. It being September, quite cool, but the hotel would only turn on the power for the room AC in the evening, and turn off your AC main power around midnight. Fortunately it was not hot in the room from midnight to the morning. But I have never stayed at a hotel that turns off your AC power at midnight!
