If you need to choose a hotel in XiNing, I would recommend the victory hotel. As the only state guesthouse in XiNing, it has a flavour of the party glory and a lovely setting. It is easy to get to and from. The garden style hotel provides an abundance of scenic views and tranquility. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Whilst the interior is a bit outdated, all is forgotten when you open the window to the lovely cypress and pine trees and beautiful birds singing. Breakfast choice was amazing with freshed cook beef noodles and lamb soup available. Last but not least, everyone who works at the hotel was so helpful and friendly. Ms Zhuang was particularly helpful and attentive. She held the door whenever I entered or left the hotel and helped my luggage. She provided me with special molasses drinks night, noticing I was probably suffering from high altitude sickness. She also provided me lots of tips on travelling and food. I am very grateful to her help!

Yogurt di Xining memang sedap. Perkhidmatan dan kemudahan kedai berada dalam keadaan baik, dan tempat letak kereta adalah percuma. Seluruh rumah pintar dan mempunyai tandas elektrik. Perkhidmatan ini benar-benar lebih baik daripada Jiji Saya yakin Jiji tidak akan mengatakan bahawa ia akan memberi anda sarapan percuma Jiji juga mengenakan 38 yuan.

The property is conveniently located about 1.5 km from Kunming Railway Station, making it an ideal choice for travelers heading to Lhasa via the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast offered a variety of tasty dishes. The reception staff were very helpful and enthusiastic; they assisted us in hailing a taxi and communicating with others. They gifted us some small cute things as thankful for customers. There are a few Orange Hotel banches in Xining. The one we stayed is at Shengli road. Exterior of the building does not justify the interior & service of the hotel. The building does not look new but the room is very clean and comfortable. Sufficient amenities and toiletries, kettle and fridge in the room. I like their complimentary tea bags. Front desk staffs are friendly and respectful especially the night shift lady. There are varieties of selection for hotel breakfast including cereal, oriental choices, fruits, desserts, juices & coffee n tea. There are also self laundry ( plus dryer) services in the hotel. When you order “Mei Tuan” (food delivery) there is a robot 🤖 that will deliver you the food. You might bumped into her once awhile when you taking the lift. Overall satisfied with the service and expectations of this hotel.

I chose Park Plaza as it was convenient to both the train station and airport. The price was also excellent value for money. My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue. I checked in around 7am and was shown my room. It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window, and it also had a freestanding bath. Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels. I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one . This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet. The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive. Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China.. I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away. The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet. I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining.

Love this hotel 's location. Nice shopping malls just down the hotel. Breakfast is also very good. Hotel's staff are very attentive anf helpful. Especially Miss Ma is very friendly and always there to help answering questions.

Was told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance. However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated. Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea. Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

Very nice rooms and view, very clean and friendly staff, but the aircon was centrally set and quite hot, and the breakfast was basically egg, toast and a few condiments.

The hotel had a gym, cafe, and a morning breakfast buffet. The room was large and gave a nice view of the city. The staff helped with any questions or requests. They helped me setup their address in the Chinese delivery app *******. They also turned up the heating in the room when I requested that too. The buffet is norming 58 RMB per day, for the food offered this is quite high. The bread was stale and a lot of the food was cold or had an old taste too it. Luckily I was there in the winter when it was free and had no cost. Perhaps in the summer with the cost of 58 RMB the food is fresher. However, I would say that the food available had a lot of variety, with both Chinese and Western options. Room: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Location: 8/10 Buffet: 6.5/10 Now I would upload images of the hotel but I only filmed it and didn't take photos and trip.com only allows photos.

I had two short (two nights each) stays at the San Want. The desk staff is excellent- they get things done, are friendly with a tourist with no Mandarin, and seem to genuinely care about my well being. Checkin was easy and smooth. I had a reservation through Trip.com. There is a food street next door, a Bank of China branch on the corner, and plenty of available taxis and a public bus system that is efficient. It is not a new building, but the owners maintain it. The house restaurant is okay, but there are many choices right outside the door. I will stay again if I return to Xining.
