Hotel Romantik di Zhangjiajie

It is a small hotel. They provide a limited number of food to order for breakfast. Almost like a bed-and-breakfast place. Overall, it was a nice place to stay as long as you do not need their transportation service. The driver charged 120 CNY to the airport. The owner decided to send us instead of the driver. When we arrived at the airport, he charged 200 CNY. This hotel is about a 5-minute drive / 35 minutes walk to the entrance to the Zhangjiajie's Avatar / floating mountains. It is about 50 minute drive from the Tianmen Heaven's Gate. I recommend staying at the Zhangjiajiw's center (10-15 minutes drive to Tianmen Heaven's Gate). Pros: A bidet is available in the bathroom. The decor is lovely. The location is convenient to the main road with restaurants and many other stores. Cons: There was no place to hang the used towel if you plan to use it again. There is no place to put soap in the bathroom other than on the window sill. Also, it only gives one small bottle of soap to use for the sink and the shower. It has mosquitoes in the room. If you need to use the bathtub, please make sure to clean it yourself again before use. It was not very clean. No English-speaking staff.

The two men who work at this hotel were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast soup was delicious! A must try. The room was a good size and was comfortable, however it could have done with so thorough cleaning. The pool was a great way to wind down after a long day of walking in the heat!! All in all a lovely stay.

Would recommend this place. This place is great value for money. Good location if you want somewhere calm and tranquil; having travelled around China to the big cities, I needed this more secluded stay. I could not fault the service. I arrived early and they offered me breakfast which was so lovely of them. The food is more home style cooking, simple but decent. The staff were incredibly helpful. I had a fever on my first night and they took good care of me. Kevin especially was very hospitable. Thank you!

Our stay was mostly for being in Zhangjiajie city and visiting the Tianmen mountain. I choose this hostel because of customer rate on the app, swimming pool and room. I took the largest room at the top floor. It was nice and spacy, but we saw the other rooms and I can tell all looks good. If I have to choose again, I might choose a cheaper one. The pool was suffering of heat and not super clean when we arrived, but the owner understood very fast and changed all the water that was very clean the next day. The attention of the owner to all our needs was very friendly, helpful and nice. And he speaks English. Breakfast is Chinese style, but the cook can adapt and serve you what you desire. The position of the hotel is not central, but in a quiet place and close access to Tianmen mountain. I still think it’s the best option in Zhangjiajie.

The Hotel was very magical, like out of a fairytale. The resort is 15 min away from the entrance to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The front desk was very helpful especially Tim. He speaks good English and helped me book Tianmen mountains and the other front desk also drove me there. The hospitality and breakfast was amazing. There are many foreigners that stay in this hotel aswell. The area is surreal and when it gets dark it also looks amazing.

提前一個月就開始規劃了～慶幸來了這裏，一定還會再來的～下次要多住一段時間，住過很多各種各樣的民宿～這個一定是我感覺最好的啦～ 美食：阿姨做飯很好吃～住了三四天感覺胖了好多斤，乾淨衞生，擺盤精緻，吃的很舒服，像家裡一樣～菜真的隨便點，都很好吃，看我拍照就知道啦！ 環境：安靜，治癒之地 設施：房子從設計到用材，只有一個感覺，用心的貴🤣細節滿滿，老闆真的超級用心，民宿能建成這樣估計老闆真的是打算住一輩子了 衞生：乾淨，阿姨每個角落都擦的很細緻，挑不到任何問題 服務：從管家接待開始，到前台，到老闆娘，老闆，真的沒話説，像老朋友一樣的熟悉親切感，感覺這個東西一定騙不了人，所以太太太太喜歡這裏了！ 唯一不足的就是：這家民宿真的太缺推廣了……導致我在做攻略的時候還在擔心會不會不好，哈哈～

The hotel is very well located, only 30 minutes away from the train station and very close to other touristic places. The staff was very attentive at all times and helped us out in everything we needed during our stay. They would always send breakfast to our room every morning. All the amenities are very clean. The room is beautifully decorated with wood things which makes it very unique. The hotel also has several trails you can freely walk. This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in China so far.

Really enjoyed our stay at Xman. Xiao liu provided the best service! Our mandarin isn’t great and had no itinerary, and she helped to plan our itinerary to make sure we saw the best of Zhangjiajie in our short 4 days there and even purchased the tickets for us when we checked in. She was always smiling and made tea for us whenever she saw us. Was lucky to have the chance to chat with the boss on one night! He has so many stories to tell and if you love Chinese history, you are in for an invaluable session. In the mornings we started our day with a hearty breakfast. At our preferred time, the driver will drop us at the Zhangjiajie park entrance just 10 min drive away and he will pick us up at the end of the day. Really appreciate this value added service! The room felt homely and was spacious, had the necessary amenities like bedroom slippers and the softest robe ever created! Getting a didi to and from the city centre was also relatively easy. The wood floor was peeling a little probably due to the damp weather but they were doing renovations to the other rooms so it’s probably in a better state now! I only wish the weather was better so we could see the sunrise. Regardless, the view was still so beautiful and I definitely will recommend everyone to stay here.

This was perhaps our all-time favorite hotel experience. We felt so pampered! They had everything we needed - I felt like we somehow overpacked, haha. Our butler was amazing. Our Chinese is not great, and it was our first time traveling in China. Through WeChat, they helped us with planning an itinerary, booking tickets for the park, call Didi for us, and even helped us order takeout when we were jetlagged and starving. He was quick and very accommodating. This hotel is also amazing in its decor, cleanliness, and breakfast! Unfortunately, we didn't have time to drink tea in their tea room, but they had spaces with mahjong, tea rooms, and more! Great for groups to socialize. Breakfast was great in variety and taste every morning. It was probably our favorite part. Homemade and delicious meal. They also helped accommodate our 7am breakfast when we needed to checkout early. I'm not sure if we will ever visit Zhangjiajie again, but this hotel has definitely changed my perspective on what an experience we can have. Thank you so much!

Our trip to Zhangjiajie couldn’t have been better! This hotel is a few minutes walking distance away from a secondary (non crowded!) entrance to the National Park. The view from the pool is facing the National Park too, which couldn’t be more beautiful. Same goes for the surroundings as the area is super calm, you can relax indeed. The restaurant serves good typical food (we highly recommend the sea bass fish - both versions). The breakfast is acceptable with a mix of asian western (although mostly Asian you can find such things as yogurt, croissants, butter and bread). The hotel could be improved in minor details, which we passed on to the team. But these won’t make your experience bad in anyway. What made our stay one of the best in this big China trip was our hostess named Fan! ＜3 She was always available for us, did the impossible to find anything we needed and surprised us all the time. She carefully planned all our itineraries for all the attractions, never forgot a single request and spoke English better than anyone else in the Team. She was 6 out of 5*. ;) Don’t miss Jojo, the beautiful and cute cat belonging to the hotel. :) Our room also included a transfer which we used to the airport by the end of the stay, driving us in time to our flight. We hope to be back one day. :)
