Wir haben uns unwahrscheinlich wohl gefühlt und auch unsere Hunde wurden sehr lieb und sogar mit einem Spielzeug und Leckereien auf dem Zimmer empfangen. Das Zimmer und das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Die Lage ist bombastisch und zum spazieren gut geeignet. Es befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe eine Menge Restaurants, Cafés und Freizeitaktivitäten. Das Hotel selber hat allerdings eine hervorragende Küche und ein spektakuläres Frühstück welches man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Wir würden auf jeden Fall hier wieder buchen.

Hotel is very luxory, in the center of the Old Town. Super confortable rooms and beds. Very easy access to the hotel. Fantactic view from the roof -top restaurant. Parking from Saturday/Sunday is free-of charge on the street. Garage is 2 minutes walk. Kalgenfurt has very interesting architecture. Nice solution for city break tour.

Mooi Hotel op een prima locatie tegenover Mini Mundis. Ruime, goed ingerichte kamers en van alles voorzien wat je van een 4 sterren hotel verwacht. Het ontbrijt is heerlijk en zeer gevarieerd. kortom; niets mis mee!

Schönes , modernes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal! Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück ! Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet! Sehr zentrale Lage, direkt beim Bahnhof und nicht weit vom Stadtkern entfernt. Garage ist vorhanden.

I will not go into detail about the service, location, or whatever, but I will specifically target the room, because this is not worth an IGH standard. I booked this hotel, because I needed to have surgery in Villach and had to be at the hospital very early in the morning and therefore got myself a room. I will be honest, I took the cheapest room, which was the ”Cozy” and still was 135€ per night for me. When I arrived at my room, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was an adapted conference room, with a pull-up bed. One could clearly see the ”walls” that could be put away and the beamer overhead for presentations. I was just shocked. I will admit, I could have gone back to the front desk to ask them to change the room, but I was kind of nervous and tired, so I didn't do that. And it seems that the hotel was pretty much booked, so I didn't have high hopes for another room... Anyway, apart from this very weird room, also the cleanliness was questionable, the coffee mugs were already covered in dust, the spoons were brown, from past use? As I had to get up very early anyway I didn't mind the preparing of the conference room next door, which involved vaccuming and loud phone calls. If I would have been here for leisure and wanted to get a good sleep in, that would not have been the correct adress. I did tell the hotel about my bad experience and asked them to clarify. Basically they told me that it was my own fault, as I booked the cozy room and that they are indeed cheaper. After consulting the website, one cannot identify on the pictures that the ”cozy” rooms appear to be conference rooms, that can be reused as rooms when needed and have a pull-out-bed. Additionally the ”normal” rooms were just 10€ more expensive, and appear to be nice at least looking at the pics. They did offer me a 10% discount for my next stay. I gladly decline that. Therefore for all others: If you decide to stay at the Voco don't take the Cozy rooms, especially not for that price, its a scam. An IHG hotel should at least have the decency to not sell those ”things” as rooms and certainly not at this price ...

We got locked out of our room on the first night, after going out for dinner. As the reception shuts at 8pm, we rung the emergency number on the card, which went to voice mail. We left two messages, to date no one has returned our call, and so we slept on the sofas in the reception! No apology, and after persistence, I got my money back for the night. The hotel needs to review its out of hours procedure. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast good. However I would question whether its really a 4 star venue.

Good location as short walk from the Old Town and surprisingly quiet. Room is a bit dated but it was a good size as was the bathroom. Dog friendly too. Parking available outside if any free. Our only gripe is that several times through the evening, there was a really strong smell of cigarette smoke which was so bad at some points in started coughing fits. Although we complained, as had others, the hotel was unable to track it down. A room change was not possible as they were fully booked. A small discount had to suffice.

This is easily the one of the most comfortable rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I wasn’t sure about the location as it isn’t the prettiest but I was so comfortable it didn’t matter. It was a 15 min walk (with luggage) to the train station and about the same into the centre. The person at reception was lovely. There was a train strike and I asked if we could stay another day and she was very helpful with that. The rooms were really clean and the bed comfortable. The shower worked well and had hot water and good water pressure. There was space to hang coats and things. I found the room temperature great and when the cloud was gone, we had lovely mountain views. It was so quiet. Really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend. There are also two supermarkets nearby. Great value!

I’m not sure why this review has taken me so long to write as this hotel is absolutely outstanding in every single way. We went as a large(ish) group of friends , 6 x adults, 8 x kids and 1 x baby (and a partridge in a pear tree ) over New Year. It was our kids first time skiing and the whole resort, hotel, amenities did not disappoint! Walking distance to the slopes, in room ski/boot room, ski hire next door, incredible breakfast and evening buffet with high quality (healthy) and varied food choices plus lots of added extras that make this hotel really special. I’m not sure how we managed it but we skiied all day, came back to the hotel, went swimming in the beautiful indoor/outdoor pool (with view of the slopes) the kids went off to the kids clubs (fully staffed with brilliant people so parental supervision not required), adults chilled at the bar and then for our evening meal (which once the kids had finished they resumed their wide variety of activities in the kids club allowing us to have more wine and really relax!) A party was put on by the hotel for NYE complete with oysters, photo booth, fireworks, live music and goulash soup at midnight. Plus other evening entertainment on various nights. The climbing wall was a big hit and available at any point during the day/night, we didn’t use it as much as we’d envisioned as there was so much else to do! Yes the rooms are a touch clunky and loud when in the boot room area but once in the bedroom section the noise is minimal and the beds super comfy. And let’s be honest, all you’re doing is sleeping there so it was more than perfect Since returning, we’re planning our next trip already, best skiing holiday ever, Nassfeld and the Franz Ferdinand hotel really are outstanding!

Es war einmal schön....... Vorab das Beste unserer Bewertung----das Bett war sauber! Das war es auch schon. Vom fleckigem , schmierigen Teppichboden bis zum Schimmelbefall im Bad konnte man erahnen das die beste Zeit ( und wir nächtigten nicht das erste Mal in der Südrast) vorüber ist. Vom Personal im SB-Restaurant ganz zu Schweigen. Bis endlich eine Mitarbeiterin bereit war uns die warmgehaltenen Speisen zu reichen, wartete ich gleich darauf nebenan auf ein frischgezapftes Bier.... Auch hier kam irgendwann Wer ”herangeeilt”..... Ebenso bei der SB-Kasse ...keine Menschenseele..... Mein Essen war inzwischen lauwarm. Dies geschah so gegen 15 Uhr. Kein W-Lan Empfang im Zimmer und auch kaum Jemand an der Rezeption, den man fragen hätte können. Und das ”Beste” zum Schluss, als wir um 5:30 das Hotel aus-checken wollten.... Kein Portier weit und breit. Als wir diesen Herren rauchend und handyspielend vor dem Eingang sitzen sahen, wurden wir , nach der Nachfrage ob er nicht in der Nähe der Rezeption sein sollte darauf hingewiesen, dass uns dies gar nicht zu interessieren hätte und wir uns doch das nächste Mal ein anderes Hotel suchen sollten..... Das taten wir auch und stornierten unseren nächsten , geplanten Aufenthalt Mitte dieses Monates. Ganz klar KEINE EMPFEHLUNG MEHR für die Südrast im Dreiländereck.

EduCARE Hotel is amazing. We didn’t know what to expect before we came and we were very pleasantly surprised. We got more than we thought. Staff is polite and professional. They speak fluently numbers of languages. Hotel is very well organized, it has two billiard tables, one football table, library,… Saunas and very good restaurant. I recommend everyone to take half board. It is worth. We stayed for two nights (far too little). Only thing we missed in hotel were slippers, and since we forgot to teke them from home, we bought slippers in nearby store (KIK). We were there for skiing in Gerlitzen. We could take a ski bus in front of hotel, but we choose tho go with car. Gerlitzen is a really nice ski resort. So combination with staying in EduCARE hotel and skiing in Gerlitzen was perfect.

Directly at the Woerthersee lake. It offers clean rooms with modern furniture, breakfast, private beach, parking, fitness studio, free WiFI, pleasant staff ready to help, ... It has an excellent location for visiting the town of Velden and the lake area. A good starting point for cycling, swimming and walking. There are many shops, restaurants and a ****** near the hotel. We recommend booking directly through the hotel's website!!!

Wir hatten das Glück in ein superschickes, gerade ganz neu-renoviertes Hotel einzuchecken, wurden sofort vom a.o. netten und bemühten Personal mit einem Begrüssungsdrink empfangen und waren dann total begeistert von den Zimmern! Sehr viel Stauraum, stylische Ausstattung, grosser Balkon, schönes Bad und das allerbeste: das Essen war immer mit 2 Vorspeisen, Hauptspeise und Nachspeise einfach köstlich! Im Sommer kann man dann noch den riesigen Garten mit Pool und Gartenterasse geniessen und das Angebot mit der Wörthersee-Sommercard macht das Ganze rundum zu einem wunderbar-abwechslungsreichen Urlaub! We stayed here and were very impressed. The room we had was large and very clean which is great when traveling with kids. The breakfast buffet, which is a little pricey, was delicious. Also the guest service provided by Sophia was amazing! We asked for recommendations for the day and she wrote out a list, in English, for us and provided amazing restaurant recommendations! She literally made our stay amazing!

Perfect for a stopover driving between Austria and Italy. The location is extremely convenient for driving - easy access from the motorway and just a stone’s throw from the centre of the old town so you can walk to cafes, shops and restaurants in a few minutes. We very much appreciated the underground garage (additional cost €15) with direct access to the hotel. The hotel was in immaculate condition and looked brand new. Everything was completely spotless. Shoutout for the fantastic huge walk-in rain shower!

This is more like a furnished apartment than a typical hotel room, there's full kitchen facilities, dishes and cutlery, a dining table, everything you need for a self-catered stay. The hotel is a few blocks from the train station on one side and a few blocks from the city centre on the other, with a Spar supermarket a block away. One thing to be aware of is that it's unattended, you get the check-in details shortly before you arrive so you need reliable Internet connectivity before checking in.
