"Our stay at KOKO HOTEL was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel had a very clean, modern, and cozy atmosphere that made our trip even more enjoyable. "Our family of 5 booked the room with an open air bath this January 2025. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The bath was warm and nice despite the windy and cold weather. The room/s were beautiful, the view of Ise Bay (especially at sunset) was spectacular, and the food was great, especially the dinner. The staff were really accommodating and nice, they even helped us book a taxi to the airport after we checked out. For those traveling to Shuku Kaifuu by public transportation, I recommend giving them a call before checking in so they could arrange a pick up service from Utsumi (train) station."

"The room is spacious and well equipped. It's a bit far from Nagoya station and not many buses around the hotel. It's a bit inconvenient. There's shuttle bus available in the morning on weekdays. Longer service time on weekends. Maybe the hotel is busy, the lounge staff wasn't too friendly. I have short hair but I found a long hair on my bed under the blanket. The bedsheet has some black colour fabric fibers but I wore light colour pajamas."

"If you look for a nice quiet place for a relaxing stay, this is a superb ryokan in the area that I would recommend. The ryokan building is beautifully decorated, despite its age. I particularly appreciate the sincere service from the manager and hosts. You can rely on them to take care of your stay. They could also provide pick-up and drop-off service at Utsumi Station. Dinner and breakfast were well-prepared with natural ingredients. Not only are they delicious but also presented nicely. The lobby also provides complimentary drinks and snacks - you can enjoy a little footbath there with a glass of whiskey and some nuts. Of course you cannot miss the marvellous scenery of the beach. The only downside is the public onsen bath was a little small. But in general we loved the stay."

Вечером, пока мы ужинали, нам застелили спальные места, спали как убитые) Ужин кайсеки потрясающий, очень разнообразные вкусы, наелись до отвала, если честно. Завтрак тоже был очень насыщенный! Горячие источники очень приятные, всего 3 вида, из них 1 на свежем воздухе. Единственное, что один для меня был очень горячим, я не смогла даже в него зайти, а вот в других посидела с удовольствием. Хозяева отеля очень приятные, милые, встретили нас, напоили чаем со сладостями, показали, где можно погулять и пообедать (мы приехали раньше чекина). Сама деревня очень живописная, приятно погулять по округе!"

Excellent staff service, especially Ms Yamada san, she's super patient, friendly and assures us our luggage will be arranged a few days after our checkout from Comfort Hotel to another hotel in Nagoya so that it will not arrive too early before our arrival as we are backpacking to the other prefectures before returning to Nagoya. Excellent service and nice breakfast too. I fully recommend a great stay in Nagoya... Just that the pillow can be fluffier (too flat) for comfort.

Asked for a room, got the exact opposite of what I requested. High floor away from lift. So they gave me almost the lowest floor, literally next to the lifts. I booked months in advance, too. The lift itself isn't noisy, but obviously guests are. And sadly these guests were Japanese locals. A family who clearly had zero control over their children. Other problems, the onsen has no cold bath, all three baths are the same temperature, and the reclining bath has no purpose except to allow you to lie down. Plus seeing someone the member of a certain family covered in tattoos is a little frightening for my son. All this despite the signs stating no tattoos. Location is great for metro lines and for the IG Arena, if that's the reason for your visit. I would also appreciate the same manners in English that the staff provide local Japanese. Especially if the staff is already fluent in English. We too have polite ways of speaking to customers.

The location is excellent, just a seven or eight-minute walk to Nagoya Station. There's a Lawson and a Sukiya right next door. By the way, the K-Books nearby is really great for browsing, with many good deals or prices similar to the market rate.

Location is superb at Sakae area, with 24hr Donki just opposite and a Family Mart at the ground floor. Stores around include Uniqlo, GU, Daiso, ABC Mart, 3 Coins +, drug stores etc. It's walking distance around 10mins to Oasis 21 bus terminal for the direct bus to and fro airport, which I find is more convenient than taking the train as would need to exchange subway line at Nagoya station. Front desk service is good and friendly. We love the free Miso soup and drinks provided, and also amenities like facial wash, moisturiser, mask, very thoughtful gesture. They also help to store my luggage when i went for Takayama for a few days before coming back to check in again for another few days. Queen size bed room is considered spacious, bed is comfy. Just that the pillow that they provided is some kind of special functional pillow but is too thin and flat for my liking. Overall a great stay :)

I came for a concert, and the hotel is right behind Niterra, so it was super convenient to just step out. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers.

Haha, turns out there are two VIA INN hotels at Nagoya Station! I went to the wrong one at first and couldn't find my booking. The staff kindly directed me to the correct one, and I was able to check in smoothly. I booked two rooms, and they gave us connecting rooms, which was great! The hotel's location is excellent, with many anime/manga stores nearby, like Animate, Suruga-ya, Lashinbang, and K-Books. It's a smooth and enjoyable walk from the station. The hotel is also just a few minutes' walk from the Nagoya Shinkansen, which is super convenient for catching the bullet train. The rooms are typical Japanese style – clean, quiet, and tidy, just what you need. What really surprised me was the breakfast; it was incredibly diverse! All sorts of side dishes, bread, rice, soup, and fruits, all delicious. I especially want to praise the bread; I loved both the toast and the croissants. Next time I'm in Nagoya, I'll definitely choose this place again.

This is a relatively new hotel in Nagoya, having opened in the last year of the '3-year period' (likely referring to the pandemic years). It's positioned as a five-star hotel right at the threshold of the Marriott brand, so all its facilities are good, but not luxurious. The hotel staff's English is excellent, and they proactively speak it, which is very convenient – typical of an American chain. I don't know the size of the standard rooms, but the pictures suggest they aren't very large. However, the suite design is incredibly well-thought-out. It's very considerate and convenient for living, both in terms of privacy and usability. The suite is spacious, the internet is good, and it's very clean. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the corner sofa is very practical. Having two bathrooms is just perfect.

The room is decently sized with a comfortable bed, and the friendly staff and convenient location made our stay great. However, do note that there are no baby amenities (e.g. baby toothbrush, baby shower gel, sponge, etc) provided. Also, for drivers, the parking lot closes at 10 PM, so you’ll need to be back by then. Since we were traveling with a toddler, the early closing time didn't bother us.
