I was here for the Jishukan High School Jishusai festival and forgot my slippers, so I just wore the hotel's. My room had a direct view of Toyohashi Station platforms, but the soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear any noise at all. The breakfast was quite extensive and very delicious. Not only did it have all the usual offerings, but also local specialties like Toyohashi curry udon and chikuwa (fish cakes), and there were even two different kinds of chikuwa! They were really tasty, and it meant I didn't have to go out and buy the now-pricier chikuwa. My only slight disappointment was that the curry udon was cold. Also, the entrance on the first floor that connects to the station was under renovation, and it wasn't as obvious, similar to the steps where Lao Ba eats takoyaki.

The room had three single beds, which were quite comfortable. However, it was clear the triple room was originally a twin room with an added bed, not designed as a triple from the start, as it was so cramped there was no space to open our luggage. The view was excellent, which is definitely the highlight of this hotel. Being able to overlook the Nagoya night view and lying in bed watching the city lights was a real mood booster. There's a 'SPA room' at the hotel, but it's really just a public bath, and a very small one at that. There weren't even towels available, which made drying off inconvenient. There are no actual spa services; it's just a bathhouse. The restaurant is on the 18th floor (the lobby level) and also offers great views. Breakfast is a set meal (one dish per person) supplemented by a buffet of side dishes. The pastries were good. This Mitsui hotel is located in the Symphony Toyota Building. On the ground floor, just off the elevators, there's a door that leads directly to the underground mall. This underground passage connects all the shopping areas around Nagoya Station and also goes straight to Kintetsu and Meitetsu Nagoya Stations. It's much more convenient to use the underground path if you're heading to the station (be sure to ask the front desk for a paper map, as the wall maps don't have English, and it's easy to get lost underground if you can't read Katakana and go the wrong way).

I booked this hotel for a transient stay in Nagoya before exploring the Japanese Alps. I was very satisfied with the location because it’s just a few blocks away from Mirai Tower and Oasis 21. There are plenty of establishments in the area, including shopping malls, drugstores, convenience stores, restaurants, cafes, etc. Sakae station is also just less than a kilometer away.

The staff's service attitude was excellent. For breakfast, they had chicken wings and Oden. The room I chose this time had a separate bathroom and toilet, so the toilet wouldn't get wet when showering. The hotel's location is superb, with a mall and restaurants downstairs. If you love shopping, you probably couldn't cover it all in one day. It's only a 45-minute drive from Nagashima Outlet (Anpanman, amusement park) and Legoland. However, parking isn't included in the hotel fee, and it costs 2200 yen per day (as of January 2026).

Nagoya Hotel Super Close to the Subway | Excellent Location, High Value for Money After browsing on a travel app for a while, I chose this hotel. Reviews online were mixed, so I was a bit nervous checking in! Overall, I found it to be okay by the time I left. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very clean! If you're staying multiple nights, the hotel does a fixed cleaning on the third day after check-in. Since this hotel doesn't clean daily, you can ask the front desk if you need it. There's a 24-hour Don Quijote right near the hotel! Shopping is very convenient! ⚠️ However, this hotel surprisingly doesn't have shower caps 😧~

The staff was very friendly and the facilities seemed old but clean, the view was good because it was on the upper floor, but it was a pity that there was a big bird's hum in the window.

I arrived at the hotel around 8:00. The female manager was waiting for me at the door, saying, ”Finally, we've been waiting for you.” I checked in. The room was very large, with nearly ten spaces. I walked around the hotel for a few times but didn't see anyone. It felt like I was the only guest there. The unique design of the hotel created a magical atmosphere. The rooftop hot springs were large and comfortable. I soaked for an hour without seeing anyone else. It was wonderful. All the windows in the room faced the sea. The breakfast was a bit simple, though.

This is truly a classic four-star hotel. The location is super convenient; it's just a 5-minute walk straight from Exit 12 of Sakae subway station. Even though it's an older hotel, you can really feel its past glory still shining through, and the experience was fantastic—definitely worth the price. There are always taxis waiting right outside, making getting around a breeze. Plus, the hotel's back door opens up to a street full of food and drinks, literally everything you could want. I honestly can't think of a reason not to stay here!

Everything is perfect except that my toilet has no door and directly in front of the door 😹 But since I traveled alone, I had no problem. But then, I found coffee stains below my table and it was sticky all over the information book 🥲 I love their 11:00 am check out policy though and their phone charger service so I will definitely come back!! My stay at the Ryugu Hotel was truly wonderful! First, the hotel's location is exceptional. The open-air hot spring offers breathtaking views of the ocean, from the morning glow to the evening sunset. Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the ocean is truly an extraordinary experience. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a modern Japanese décor that evoked a sense of tranquility and relaxation. With the ocean view just outside the window, staying in the room felt like being in paradise, leaving you wanting to leave. Dinner was a traditional kaiseki ryori, each dish meticulously crafted with abundant local ingredients. It was both delicious and visually pleasing. The sashimi and grilled items were particularly impressive and satisfying. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, and from check-in to check-out, their attentive service was truly heartwarming. Their attentive hospitality was truly touching. This is a hot spring hotel I'll definitely return to, and I highly recommend it to friends and family!
