St ives Bay Hotel is has a great potential to be a great one due to its location as it is very close to the beach and the train station. They hotel requires a good maintenance. The staff is very friendly and have a very good breakfast served in the morning. Also it is not a very posh one rather a very budget friendly stay in the region

Fantastic hotel! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The parking facility under the hotel was so convenient. The breakfast room overlooking the harbour was stunning. The breakfast was amazing. Plenty of choice and excellent quality. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Can't fault anything and would definitely return.

Amazing little hotel few mins walk from train station and short walk into Newquay town, close to all amenities; friendly front desk staff easy quick check in process and helpful with our luggage! Bougie chic room and the decorative style of hotel was very chic and upmarket would definitely recommend đŻ

I'm not really sure where to start reviewing the Harbour Hotel in Fowey - part of me doesn't want to publicise how fantastic this place is! We really enjoyed our stay - we really didn't want to leave! The helpful and friendly staff (Karina on our last evening at dinner was particularly brilliant), excellent food (we had a cream tea, breakfasts and dinner) and a superb room with a stunning view over the bay. The hotel's position in Fowey is fantastic - allowing short walks to the centre, the harbour and walks - as well as having those jaw-dropping views from the bar/restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and we'd love to come back and stay again!

A mixed experience. We booked for the pool facilities, which were great. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening - excellent food and very good service. The breakfast was good too. Some buts, though. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed, a strange electrical light show from some devices in the ceiling once we turned the lights out and a repeated electrical buzzing sound all through the night which disrupted our sleep.The staff moved us to a much more comfortable room on the second night. The floors upstairs were so bouncy that it felt like the hotel must have the underlying structure of a rickety prefab - very odd and a little unsettling. And the restaurant had no character at all - an almost sterile feel. All a bit odd. While the pool, the food and the service really were great, and the many golfers who visited were clearly delighted, some of the spaces do need a refurb and a rethink.

Clean, comfortable room with good heating - which was appreciated during a cold snap that coincided with our visit. The wi-fi was reliable, and there was a TV, tea and coffee making equipment and a modern bathroom. Contrary to what some other reviews say, the beds are comfortable with good pillows. There is no fridge or in-room safe, but we did not require those things. The staff were friendly and bar and restaurant facilities were available if required. The âfull Cornishâ breakfast was good although not over large. The location is excellent for a range of local services and beaches. Constructive suggestion: add a soap tray in the shower. even if this is just one that clips on to the shower head riser bar.

Amazing hotel. Spa is brilliant and had an excellent massage. Restaurant, bar and room were lovely and staff super friendly. Have recommended to a number of people and will definitely be going back!

The shower was blocked, the water pressure is high in the shower. Resulted in quickly wet bathroom floor until I unlocked the drain...
It's a general cleanliness. Could do with doors wiping down etc.
Budget hotel. Breakfast isn't too bad. It's eleven quid. I've had worse but I've had better too.
Staff are friendly. The location is great although access is via single track roads.

We felt very welcome as soon as we entered. The staff were polite, professional and down to earth friendly. We only live 6 miles away but will certainly be staying again. I think we have found our place for getting away from the children

ç„ç„äžSea view room, several windows with great views, simple breakfast provided (worth about 12 pounds), the food in the hotel restaurant is also good, there are many people every day, there is an Italian buffet on Friday (15.5 super cheap), a lot of dishes, just They are all very filling dishes, so they are cheap. You donât have to worry about customers eating too much, but it is more than enough to try them all~

GGuest UserThe hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone.
Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience.
We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to.
Breakfast was good and would recommend it.

OOlly reviewsKing Arthurâs Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritageâs Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. Itâs an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel.
Really cannot recommend King Arthurâs Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

GGuest UserA lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines.
The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home
The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice.
We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at ÂŁ15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction.Â
We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover.

Very Good
RRip RipClassic English hotel, my room was recently updated and clean; strange not to have daily cleaning service.
Small Single room with sea view was expected and very cosy. Appreciate the soft, thick new carpet. Also the single armchair was well used to enjoy sitting by window for the view.
Bathroom was brand new, modern and didnât blend into environment which is a shame. The water from shower was either too hot or cold; also the shower head could not be fixed into the rail so needed holding up.
Restaurant meal was very nice, service was especially friendly and attentive.
I would stay again in the near future but remind other guests considering that this is a 3 star hotel so you should appreciate that this is meeting the expectations of this grading.
Overall daily service at hotel reception was well appreciated and always greeted when passing . Well done and thank you to the hotel staff!
