Location is easily accessed and conveniently located right beside a shopping street. There is an excellent butcher where you can purchase top grade beef at a very reasonable price and get them to grill for you on the spot.

The lady at the reception is by far the nicest person I've met in Japan and goes far beyond my expectations of Japanese hospitality. However, reception is only open until 6pm - after 6pm check-in is done via a video call to a call center. Otherwise, rooms are decent sized, washroom and baths are separate, and even comes with a smart TV. Trash and room cleanup is performed every 4 days if you stay that long - they will hang new towels in a bag outside your door on the other days. Overall, would recommend if you don't need daily maintenance!

Located a bit far from major attractions - expect a 10-15 minute walk to both the subway and JR line. Good selection of konbinis and supermarkets nearby. Facilities were clean but the lounge area, fridges and microwaves are on the 5th floor, and the building does not have an elevator, which can be troublesome. Overall good value for money, at around 2000 yen a night including city tax it's quite worth it.

It is good a hotel, but doesn’t have several basic services of a 4-star hotel (I believe it is a good 3-star hotel if you book it a reasonable price, avoiding the overpriced Saturday night). The check out is at 10:00 AM and is not possible to extend the check out time (even paying as the most of the hotels in Japan). Only basic amenities available.

The receptionists welcomed me with open arms and patiently listened to my needs, even though I am not good at speaking Japanese. They are really helpful in terms of illustrating the rules and regulations, cleaning policies and offered free luggage storage service. Every time I walked pass the reception, the receptionists greeted me. Next time when I come to Kyoto, I will definitely stay here again:).

Location are on point even though not on the main road.Konbini are near around the neighborhood . Value for money to solo traveller who values privacy. The room space was good enough for prayers if you are a Muslim. The bed linen, towels and curtains are clean. Importantly the USB port was in working order. I've noticed most hotel in Japan provide shoehorn in the room which is a brilliant tool for fast slide your foot in a shoe.

Nice and clean hotel to stay. But the price really depends on the season. Although the metro station needs walks around 5 minutes. The bus station is only in front of the hotel. Nearby there is also a lot of food to eat. The hotel has two washing machines. But 2 in 1 type (wash and dry) is so slow..... I need to wait too long when other people are using it. 🥹

The staff is friendly and allows us to store the luggage although we checkout. AEON mall is just opposite the hotel which is awesome to the shoppers. Highly recommended!!

I had a great stay at Agora Kyoto Karasuma. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a minimalist Japanese style that feels both modern and cozy. The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and great local restaurants, which made getting around Kyoto very convenient. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose Agora Kyoto Karasuma again on my next visit to Kyoto.

Really nice hotel with a low price, definitely will choose again to stay if I travel to Japan again. Nice comfy bed, especially the bathroom and bathtub, everything is clean and new. Convenient location, has local restaurants nearby.
