Life has been difficult recently, mainly due to family illness and injuries, so when I found time a few weeks back to myself I wanted a pub that would provide the distraction, peace and calm I really needed. Some people wind down on long walks, by sitting in coffee shops, writing, reading, watching TV or tending their gardens. I love a drink up with friends, but sitting in a quiet pub with a newspaper sometimes provides me with that break from the world and those stresses and pressures
