ZZhongcaifaThe experience was great, but the hotel's location was a bit out of the way, and it was a little eerie to walk back alone late at night. Also, half of the hotel was under renovation, so the gym was unavailable, which was a shame. However, the staff were very friendly.

HHuanqiuyuzhoulvxingjiaThis hotel was the most impressive one on my trip through the Netherlands, Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium. It's located right in the heart of Ghent's scenic riverfront, a World Heritage site, one of Europe's top ten design hotels, and on the list of the world's top 100 hotels! Staying here, it truly lives up to its reputation. It's incredibly well-designed, opulent, a genuine antique with a strong sense of culture and history. The classic Baroque style is evident, and the furniture and decor are all traditional European. It exudes the luxurious feel of an ancient European palace! The breakfast was also excellent, especially the breakfast restaurant, which has fantastic views!

GGrandBeanThis hotel, converted from an old military arsenal, is incredibly unique. If you're into architecture, you absolutely can't miss it. The rooftop bar is also super chill. I'll definitely come back next time.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, well-organized, and extremely comfortable. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the overall freshness of the space. The location is excellent—convenient, accessible, and close to everything I needed, which made getting around the city very easy. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making the entire stay even more pleasant. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

GGiles LawrenceThe room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.

GGuest UserSint Niklaas was going thru a process of major road and town works. Confusing one-way systems at play gave me a flat tyre reversing back around the right way and hitting a bunch of stones popping out the ground near the kerb.
I think it would be nice to return once the town face-lift is complete... 🤔
Ibis, I thought you'd be better than that. €20 deposit for a kettle and no milk, coffee, tea, or sugar in your room on arrival.. 😒
The ladies working there were lovely enough to give my gf & I a smile 🥰 they know where to park and at what times to pay the machines at the car parks 🤓
Cheap and fairly cheerful but also stressful to load and unload. 🤕

TTrigger821We had a really nice stay, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We only interacted with the front desk during check in and checkout, but they were very friendly. The lobby looks grand. There was free fruits, coffee, and water in the lobby. We felt it was worth the price we paid.

GGuest UserLocation-wise, it's right next to Ghent City Hall, super central! Most of Ghent's attractions are within a 10-minute walk, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, like Carrefour and McDonald's. However, because it's so central, it can get a bit noisy; you can still hear people on the street late into the night.
Service: The front desk staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic, and there's complimentary water.
Facilities: It's an older hotel, which is fine, but the TV isn't a smart TV so you can't cast to it. The air conditioning didn't seem to heat up enough, even when set to the maximum fan speed and highest temperature. On the upside, the room itself is very spacious.
Cleanliness: It was very clean.
Overall, for a few hundred yuan, staying in a chain hotel like this offers good value for money.

HhlledgThis place is great, very quiet. There's a small bus terminal right outside (many bus routes start there). The bar downstairs looks lively, but the residential area is completely undisturbed. You have to walk down a corridor to get to the rooms, and the corridor door requires a key card to enter, so there's no need to worry about bar patrons accidentally wandering into the residential area (it's very safe).
The hotel itself is also clean. Although there's a construction site nearby, I didn't see any construction happening, and I couldn't even hear any street noise (which I was quite happy about).
It's perfect for anyone arriving in Ghent by Flixbus, as it's less than a 10-minute walk (about 600 meters) from the Flixbus stop.
