Hotel Dengan parking di East-Flanders, Belgium

The hotel is very well located in the centre of Ghent, less than 5 minutes walk to the Castle and pretty much opposite Graffiti Street. We stayed as a family of four and the room was well laid out with plenty of space for all of us. The room was clean and had amenities to make a hot drink.

ibis Gent Centrum St Baafs Kathedraal is a great location oposite Cathedral by its name. It is a very convenience to explore old town on foot from hotel. Hotel also has a car parking but a bit hectic to get in since it is located in restricted area. Room is clean and bed is comfortable as per ibis standard. Staff is very helpful and help us get through the parking.

Beautiful hotel with perfect view of a cathedral from our twin room. Hotel is in a historic building with lovely architectural features by the canal and the room we were in was a cleverly designed ”duplex” with the bathroom and sinks on the upper floor (ie loft) which made full use of the almost double volume ceiling in the smallish twin room we were in. The only drawback was that the steps were narrow and steep and would pose a problem if one had mobility issues. The toilet was located by the door next to the entrance but there was no sink for handwashing. Alcohol gel in a pump bottle was provided. There is a café, lifestyle / clothes shop and supermarket in the same building. Very convenient and the hotel's location was walkable to all the sights in Ghent central. The front desk staff were very polite and gracious and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived before 11am, since check-in was strictly at 4pm. We were happy to find that our suitcases had been already delivered to our room when we returned to the hotel at 4pm. There are 2 bars in the hotel - one which is open to the public which was buzzing in the evenings and a guest-only ”Honesty Bar” (1st photo) in which hotel guests could purportedly help themselves to liquor and pen down what they had imbibed - but I never saw anyone in it ! This could be due to a lack of ice or mixers. Or glasses. 🍸

Mooi en modern hotel. We hadden een kamer van 3. Vriendelijk personeel. Een foutje gemaakt met toeristenbelasting. Ik moest nog betalen werd gezegd. Na afrekenen keek ik in de trip.com app en zag dat het al inbegrepen was. Na controle hebben ze het teruggestort. Prima opgelost. Geen gebruik van gemaakt maar ze hebben een mooie fitnessruimte. Parkeren kan op het terrein van het hotel. Is 20 eur per dag. Locatie is op een industrieterrein. Dichtbij het voetbalstadion van AA Gent Je kan het stadion bezoeken. Er is een kleine fanshop en een supermarkt onder het stadion.

Hotel Carlton in Ghent offers a warm welcome, spacious rooms, and excellent cleanliness. The staff are genuinely helpful, breakfast is generous, and transport links are convenient. It’s quiet yet close to the historic center, making it a comfortable, great-value base for exploring the city for leisure travelers and short stays.

This is a fairly new and trendy place in a beautiful converted old barracks. It had a ”buzzy” feel to it, and is conveniently in walking distance of both the station and the town centre. The room was mostly good - everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy, and the coffee machine and kettle were nice to have. However, there was a big set of stairs to get up to them, so do check with staff while booking if you have any accessibility issues, and it made a midnight loo trip quite the adventure! As for issues with the room, firstly the shower wasn't great. It had two separate hot and cold taps rather than a mixer, so it was a little difficult to get the right temperature. The shower hose was also quite new and stiff, so the shower head kept spinning around to point at the wall. The Aircon positioning is also a little odd too - the unit is in the upstairs part over the bed, but the thermostat is in the significantly chiller downstairs by the door, so I woke up in the middle of the night with hot air being blasted at me!

Generally good location as it is right next to the train station (less than 5 minutes walk) and a 20 to 30 minutes walk from the hotel to the tourist spots in the city central (might be a bit of a walk for the elderly). Pretty average room with just a towel but you cant' complain for the price. The only issue I had was what was mentioned by other visitors, the windows cannot be opened and you are not able to adjust the aircon settings. You will have to talk to the front counter to adjust your room temperature. However, even after adjusting aircon, the room was still stuffy.

First of all, I really appreciate the amazing service and kindness. It was my solo trip for pleasure, and NH collection ghent was the best choice. Here are some reasons: 1. Employees are so kind and helpful. They even told me about some good souvenir options and festival information. 2. All the things are ready. Anything you need? They just give you the right thing. (For instance, shaver) 3. Room is very spacious and clean. I'm not sure it is new, but it feels like new. Four. Fine room cleaning service 5. Great facilities: They have restaurant & gym & even bar. Thank you for everything, I truly had a good time there.

很棒的酒店。運河邊，地點優越，酒店有兩個入口，一個在後街車輛可達，一個直通運河。遊覽船幾乎就在酒店門口。走累了就回來歇會腳特別方便。前台態度很好。運河景超值，打開窗就是明信片風景。一天呆在房間都很贊。酒店附近有超市可買到水果和水，冰箱也有送水。浴室寬敞，有熨斗吹風機拖鞋浴帽。萬豪的品質還是有保障的。非常推薦！

A pleasant hotel in Gent, the staff were super nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the view was broad. Wonderful stay, will come again next time.
