Staff is very nice. Free breakfast buffet is adequate but nothing to brag about. Every time we ordered any type of meat (steak, veal parmigiana, beef soup) from room service menu it was incredibly horrible and we could literally not even cut it with a knife. We use the scissors and tore it apart with our bare hands. Room service can take up to two hours to get your food.  housekeeping ladies are very nice, as well as, some of the maintenance man. Every room we’ve ever stayed in the toilet seats are broken and scary when you sit on them. Don’t even think about having hot water in your shower whatsoever. And when it’s checkout time, you better be out of there as soon as possible!

I have been traveling to Recife for last 10 years on business. I have stayed in this Ibis hotel a million times. Last stay was pre covid and latest stay was in May 2022. The hotel used to be my favorite hotel in Recife, but it has lost its touch. The problems 1. The room was FULL of mosquitos and these mosquitos were stubborn. It was almost impossible to swat them with hand. I used repellant but they had become immune to repellant. All night they were buzzing in the ears, during my 2 night stay. 2. There is a new car repair garage right at back of hotel. so if you are in say room 232 or 134 etc....you can hear this noise from early morning of car repairs and mechanics tallking, making it impossible to sleep along with the buzzing mosquitos. 3. when I arrived in room, toilet was very dirty with human excreta of previous guest still visisble. 4. The hotel's internet /wifi connection was dropping off every 5 minutes on its own. 5. When I arrived the front desk girl on duty at 0300 refused to speak Spanish or English and insisted on speaking only Portuguese. For me, this is unacceptable. that hotel staff not trained in a 2nd language. why hire these jokers, general manager/ceo of this hotel - public wants to know!!? Positives 1. Excellent location close to Recife airport 2. Good hot water in shower 3. hotel has excellent coffee selection to buy and sip in the morning. 4. Morning front desk staff is friendly. ( night staff was super rude) Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. I wiill NEVER return and I travel often to Recife. I hope you found my review helpful? Bem localizado em frente a praia de boa viagem, café da manhã bem variado, só não gostei da demora no chegada pra fazer o check in nosso quarto não estava pronto ainda , mais de resto foi bem agradável

For the low price of the hotel, and given the great location for exploring historical Recife, this hotel is not bad. It's old, and it looks like maintenance is not a priority. Really the only thing I didn't like was the bed was saggy. Breakfast was OK.

A hospedagem em si foi boa. O café é muito simples e tem pouca variedade. Pedi 02 refeições, a primeira veio com o frango do filé à parmegiana em quase sua totalidade cru, a outra refeição estava boa. Mas o grande problema é a vedação entre os quartos, é possível ouvir absolutamente tudo o que é dito ou é feito. O atendimento é excelente, limpeza também, a comida e a vista são incríveis, funcionários um amor, cama super confortável... porém eu tinha pego o Quarto Superior Super, dizia que tinha vista para o pátio mas a vista que tínhamos era de uma parede, dizia que tinha garrafa de água mas quando chegou lá se consumir tem que pagar mais de 30 reais. Tem muita coisa perto, supermercados, lanchonetes, bares e etc e isso facilita muito. Vale apena!!

What you'd expect from a 4 star hotel: friendly professional staff, clean room, nice linens and towels, comfortable bed. The WiFi was good as was the breakfast. The gym, though small, had good equipment.

Preço justo, café da manhã bom. Único inconveniente é que o quarto ao lado havia uma espécie de porta compartilhada que ficava fechada com chefe, mas ouvíamos os outros hóspedes. Informamos o inconveniente e prontamente mudamos de quarto sem essa porta.

Mesmo com vários comentários negativos, resolvi reservar e me surpreendi, a localização é perfeita, super próximo da beira mar, o hotel em si precisa passar por umas reformas, mas nosso quarto (111) era ótimo, o chuveiro pingava um pouco mas nada que a porta fechada do banheiro nao resolvesse, o ar gelava muito bem, o quarto é amplo e espaçoso, e o café da manhã foi muito bom também, super valeu o custo benefício, e com toda certeza irei voltar lá, os atendentes do sabado nao eram tao simpaticos, mas isso nao afetou em nada a estadia
