The hotel is located a couple of kilometers/miles from Zagreb center, in a quieter area. There are nearby trams with which you can easily reach the center in minutes. There are a few small restaurants, pubs, and shops around. The hotel has 2 small buildings with 3-4 floors - the main building and an ”annex” (we heard it had no elevator, but we stayed in the main one which has). Each floor has about 6-7 rooms. They have their own small parking lot between the buildings, and we always found parking there, though sometimes it was a little more difficult to find. The room was average in size, with a modern shower (no bath). I have to say the bed was a little squeaky, but just a little. Breakfast was served on floor -1. There were many items, but they were constantly running out of them and not replenishing them on time. The service at the reception was superb! They seemed to try and help us in any way possible, suggesting places to sit together in the hotel or visit outside, giving tips, providing us with wine glasses etc.

The hotel in centre of Zagreb . Nice breakfast. The hotel has parking near from hotel and they have a very helpful staff.We enjoyed in our stay

The accommodation is suited very well near to the main bus station and also a tram station to the center is very near. The room is very clean and spacious, you have everything you need. And the owner was such positive, provided any needed help and gave a lot of useful suggestions.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado .Cerca del centro de la ciudad (veinte minutos andando y en linea recta) por lo que no tiene perdida La habitacion en la que me hospede ,era limpia, igua lde limpio el cuarto de baño ,silenciosa , y buenas vistas al exterior.El desayuno muy bueno.Al igual que la cena (que en mi caso fue bufet libre)

I stayed here for one night with my 8yo. We needed to wait at the reception for the staff to show up from the back. At 6pm!?!? Why!?!? Our room was very good,clean, spacious, quiet and twin beds like I asked. Complimentary water bottle is a nice touch. We went for dinner before heading out, empty restaurant,quick service, ordered aperol spritz and was told they ran out!?!?!? 10th August at 6:50pm they don’t have it!?!? No effort was made to accommodate me at all. Three waiters were walking around, leaning and chatting to each other as nothing to do, but none thought of solving the missing drink for the guest!?!?. When I wanted to pay with my non touch card, both pos machines declined as they didn’t have an insert option on them, I paid cash. On our way out that night I wanted to check with the receptionist how late the bar will be open, but again they were nowhere to be found. All’s in all staff is completely uninterested in guests and making their stay more enjoyable, very disappointed.

Bittersweet stay at Speeka. Bad weather first 2 days and few mayor sites still closed due to earthquake in 2020. Hostel is located at 3-lanes main street so prepare for the traffic almost 24/7. Windows are old so don't stop the noise. 1st two nights I slept in room number 9 and there were two other cranky beds making so much noise with every move made. Then I moved to nr 6 and it was much better. Staying there you need to be also prepared for coffee, tea and hot water shortages. And those shabby walls make an impression that the owner doesn't want to invest too much in renovation. Good thing is that hostel is in walking distance from the old town and everything is actually very closed. People are nice and helpful, thanks to the lady at the reception I managed to print a ticket for 2Cellos - without it I wouldn't enter cause they don't have scanners to read a ticket on smartphone screen. But the concert itself was also sad, maybe cause of those strings sound. I don't know what happened but most likely will visit Zagreb in a few years again and stay at some better place.

We stayed three nights and the first night was horrendous. We stayed in Room number 17 and the air conditioning unit’s motors whirred relentlessly all through the night despite being actually switched off. I went down to reception 3 times and was told there was nothing they could do. Each time they insisted that it was switched off - which it was at the wall but still so made so much noise - we probably got an hour’s sleep maximum… Another thing is the skylight window has no blind or curtain on so floods with light at the break of dawn. The hotel swapped our room the next day which we had no issues with but presumably anyone who stays in this one room is going to have the same problem! Surely others have complained?! (I’ve got videos of the noise at 2am but this site won’t let you upload it)!

We stayed 4 nights at hotel. The hotel is conveniently located with around 10 minutes walk to bus terminal. Thus, it’s a good choice for those travelling by bus to Plitvice Lakes, Split, etc. Room size is good. Mattress is firm enough (maybe it’s quite new). There are USB plug nearby the desk. Overall, our stay were comfortable except the shower water pressure not strong enough and the super super noisy air-conditioning. It would automatically switch off and on. We need to keep fixing it manually many times. Anyway, this was addressed to front desk upon check out. Bottles of water was available in room, but chargeable at €3 each (very expensive!).

Liked · The location - center, 5 mins walking from the train station, everything else is also very near. Free lockers with the deposit. The beds very comfortable. The rooms have fans so people should not be complaining about rooms being too hot. There are vending machines in the hostel - it might be life saving in thee middle of the night - but they accept cash only. Disliked · Apart from the girl working in the morning no one smiles, they do their job, but still, when they looked at me I felt guilty of being there. Urinals in men toilet don't work, on any of the floors. there is a note saying that it's temporary but the note is so old that the color faded away - only one shower for the entire floor, can be problem. When it comes to Zagreb the price is great for the value, but comparing to other countries, it is very expensive, but accommodation in Croatia in general is of high price if you compare the ratio to food for instance.

Very nice hotel,very clean.all staff are very nice,transportation is very convenient to all tourists attractions,only the breakfast not too many food to choices,we been having 3 nights dinner in the restaurant,staff in restaurant is very nice too,very good service.one of the staff told us,he said that’s the last night he working there, he have to change to the other restaurant,because he saw us continue 3 nights for dinner there , and we told him, we’re the last night dinner here too ,we back home tomorrow,we both laughed,we both reluctant to leave.
