"While the area around the Naples train station felt somewhat unsafe and unclean, CX Hotel provided a strong sense of security. The hotel features a large lobby with a very modern and upscale design. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and equipped with everything we needed. We were welcomed with a lovely postcard in the room with our name written on it. The reception staff were extremely helpful and always ready to assist promptly, and the security staff were also very friendly. It is one of the cleanest hotels I have seen in Naples. I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe place to stay near the train station."

"We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!"

"We were upgraded, upon check-in, to stay at the main Art Hotel -the Hotel Piazza Carita are part of the same hotel, but are in rooms in a different building- Anyway, the room we got was clean and comfy. It was super modern and appeared to be a fairly recent renovation. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was all fresh made and a combination of ”English Breakfast” favourites, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices and fresh coffee. The room, halls and dining area are full of the works of local artists. The hotel is located in the heart of Naples, so if you're driving in consider yourself warned. Driving in Naples is not for the feint of heart, and parking can be a challenge. Location wise, you're steps from the Spanish Quarter and the street the hotel is located on is alive with restaurants, shops and market tents."

"The location is quite remote and far away from town centre. It is situated in an industrial area with little human traffic or activity. The room is generally clean and tidy."

"Check-in process was a little complicated as I had to check in after 1 pm, when there is no staff present on site. Check-in is done through WhatsApp, where communication was complex and took a while. Location is good, but it is along the side of a busy road, so it gets very noisy, even in the middle of the night. Soundproofing is also poor, so you can clearly hear guests in neighbouring rooms. If you are bringing bulky luggage, be warned, as the path from the train station is very rocky and not paved, so it will be a challenge getting there. The rooms are located up a flight of stairs as well. It is not far from the city centre/touristy areas though, took me 45min walk max, but it will be extremely unpleasant if you walk with luggage. As many other reviewers noted, don't let the name fool you; there is absolutely no breakfast. Other than the lack of soundproofing and inconvenient to walk to the location, the place was fantastic, and I had a comfortable stay!"

"A decent hotel for the star rating, our room was small but fine for 2 nights. Great air conditioning. Good location for exploring and not far from the train station and Centro storica. Great terrace area to watch the world go by. Staff are very helpful and the continental breakfast is good. They provided gluten free options."
