云云博This is a venerable super five-star hotel with an excellent location, though it's a bit out of the city center, making it quite inconvenient for getting to sights, attractions, and dining. However, the hotel shuttle bus to Kyoto Station is a lifesaver. The hotel was renovated a few years ago, but it still retains its 40+ years of history and luxurious decor, now blended with modern, clean design elements. Charging facilities and hygiene are excellent. I would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserWhen we chose this hotel, we saw pictures and videos that made us think it was a resort estate, but it's not. There's very little to see inside the hotel; I could walk through the entire property in 5 minutes. Secondly, the hotel advertises natural hot springs, but the public ones reek of disinfectant as soon as you walk in, which is very unpleasant. The room itself was okay and had character, and the bathtub was very large with a pleasant woody scent when bathing. Finally, the breakfast – honestly, the taste was just mediocre. I wouldn't choose this hotel again at the same price point.

ZZhouyidianjiThis hotel is incredibly comfortable and super close to the Gion district and Yasaka Shrine – you can easily walk there. It's a bit of a distance if you're relying on public transport, but I just used Uber and it was always easy to pinpoint the location right outside. The highlight for me was definitely the large public bath (onsen)! After walking 20,000 steps every day, soaking in that bath was pure bliss and completely refreshed me. The onsen is open from 3 PM until 10 AM the next day. If you're a bit shy, heading there around 12 AM might be perfect as it's usually empty then, so you can enjoy a private soak.

I had a pleasant stay at Kyoto Universal Hotel Karasuma. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transportation, making it simple to explore Kyoto’s major attractions and nearby areas.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing everything needed for a relaxing stay after a day of sightseeing. One of the best features is the excellent value for money, especially considering the facilities and services provided.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The complimentary meals were a nice bonus and helped keep travel costs down.
Overall, this hotel is a great choice for travelers looking for affordable accommodation in Kyoto without sacrificing comfort and convenience. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.

GGuest UserThe room was very quiet, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. The staff were super friendly and helpful; they even offered me an umbrella when it rained without asking for my room number, which was a lovely gesture and reminded me of the grand service of yesteryear. It's an easy walk to the bustling downtown area. Right next to the hotel is Foguang Temple, which has two huge ginkgo trees and is surprisingly peaceful with hardly any tourists.

NNanyudemengThe hotel's location is excellent, right across from Kyoto Station, and only a three-minute walk from the nearest station entrance. It's a large hotel that also accommodates tour groups, so the lobby can get quite busy during check-in and check-out times. However, there are plenty of staff members on hand, especially at the concierge. The luggage storage service is particularly convenient, with a dedicated storage room and supervised by staff – a really well-managed feature. Another great perk is that every floor has a water dispenser and ice maker, making it very easy to get water and ice. The only downside is that there's no self-service laundry facility; you have to pay for a laundry service. The hotel rooms are also quite spacious. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThis hotel is conveniently located not far from the right side of Kyoto Station, and the environment is excellent. For breakfast, they offer both Western and Japanese options, both of which are very good. The entire decor is quite unique, creating a quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts a prime location right in the heart of Kyoto's JR transportation hub. It's incredibly easy to find – just turn right out of Kyoto Station, walk about 100 meters, and take the elevator up to the second floor. You can also access the hotel directly from inside the station. The surrounding area is bustling with plenty of shopping and dining options, and both subway and bus stations are very close by, making getting around a breeze. The hotel itself is well-equipped with all the necessary facilities, and the rooms are spacious, some even offering scenic views. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserThe concierge team is really resourceful and helpful when we asked about luggage delivery service, thumbs up for their service. Just love everything about the hotel, excellent hospitality, great location, beautiful design, spacious room, comfortable bed and etc. Breakfast with huge selection including some Thai dishes, crispy bacons ever, just amazing. It was really great value for the money, highly recommended!
