I used this hotel as a stop off location, the 24hr check in desk came in real handy as I arrived at 2am. Room was clean, no issues with noise and a good set of amenities. Staff were kind and professional, nice stay overall. Will definitely pop by again, hopefully I'll have more time to use the fitness suite. The only thing that bugged me was the pay for parking which I didn't realise, so i paid £7 for parking at the reception when i arrived. Come morning, I've packed up, walked to the car, and gone to leave and the gate states I need to pay £12 to leave. I have to then reverse from the barrier before anyone else comes, park back up and walk back to the reception for them to tell me it's a glitch and that it doesn't sync up sometimes, this just added to an already tight turnaround timings wise. Hopefully they get this fixed.

The service was very good. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room and bathroom were very clean. The choice of food at breakfast was excellent and I was made to feel welcome and relaxed as a single lady (this is not always the case in hotels even these days). I enjoyed using the swimming pool which was situated near my room.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. Housed in an elegant Georgian manor, the hotel boasts a lake and extensive grounds, offering a truly idyllic countryside atmosphere. The twin rooms are clean and spacious, with soft and comfortable bedding, and reliable hot water in the bathrooms. Some rooms even offer lake views. The facilities are comprehensive, with a heated pool, sauna, and gym all available for use, making it very relaxing after a day of exploring the towns. The lakeside restaurant has a beautiful setting, and the breakfast selection is plentiful. A thoughtful touch is the complimentary Hilton signature cookies upon check-in. The staff are friendly, and parking is free, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. The only minor drawback is that some areas of the facilities show a slight bit of age. Overall, it's quiet and comfortable, suitable for families and self-driving tourists, and highly recommended as a lodging option for your Cotswolds itinerary.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for my 60th birthday. With my daughter. The views are breathtaking and the hotel its self . Great location the staff are very welcoming and courteous. There is lots of parking , unfortunately we did not get a chance to use the spa facilities. Our only negative thing was our room although lovely the carpet had a few stains on it and our windows did not open easily , and the entrance hall to our room was very dirty we had been given a room in the grounds outside of the hotel and for the cost of our stay we were very disappointed after seeing such elegance,with the main Hotel and the lobby etc . We had also been given a room with a bathroom that was more suited to someone who needed more support and although there was nothing wrong with that , it would of been nice to have had a choice of a bath as well and we felt someone else might have benefited more with this set up on their stay.

Perfect stay! Staff were lovely, food was good and thanks to Leann & Tyler for going above & beyond and making our trip all the more memorable! Food was enjoyable and fresh. The spa and massage were lovely, and the jacuzzi was powerful and warm. Dinner was excellent, and the wait for it was worth it. Definitely reccomend the lamb dish! The breakfast was generous and we enjoyed all of it apart from the mushrooms as they were a bit plain. The superior king bed we booked was slightly uncomfortable due to it being two twins pushed together, but the room was very spacious, clean and aesthetically pleasing. We would stay again, thanks for having us!

We were disappointed on arrival to find that we had been allocated a standard room, instead of the Opulent one we had booked through trip. The receptionist was very nice but wasn’t able to give us the room we booked as there wasn’t one available. She gave us a slightly better room which was ok but looked like it was ready for a refresh. We needed to call reception as there wasn’t no hair dryer in the room but there was no instructions for using the phone, when we worked it out there was then no answer! We then needed reception again later as our neighbours were playing really really loud music, again no answer. Besides this, the hotel was very nice, the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, the pool was nice and the breakfast was good. We would stay there again but book direct.

Booked family room.. We would say is highly overrated.. Fun/vent inthe bathroom didnt work(report isuuet at reception at first evening -no response at all ,also night lihgt socket come out from wall while trying to unplug the light (1of 2 dsnt work at all)..cracked sink, View for familly rooms have small part lake picture only ,mostly You can look to other people rooms at your right hand site... Second floor haven't working water dispenser ,also coffe machine out of order.. Room have digital tv only (for that price most hotels ofeers smart tv).. While You are travelling with children ,be prepare to use Your own smart devices to watch kids entertainment...For that price per night we recommend to find another place to stay for family 2+2....

The hotel was clean however the decorations are dated. I have some noise issues in my room, a constant deep humbling sound from midnight. I am not sure what that is, it sounded like behind the wall, above the ceiling. It was very bad and lasted a whole night and I could not sleep at all. The sound made me feel sick , very unwell and hard to describe. I found it hard to breathe at one point. After almost three hours of noise disruption , I could no longer bear it anymore and contacted the help desk. To be fair, the staff were helpful and offered me an alternative room opposite my original room. Although the sound was less noisy in the new room but didn't go away. I am very disappointed with this experience and don't want to go back anymore.

I highly recommend this hotel, the service is second to none, the food and drink were great and the location and atmosphere was amazing. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m sure me and my partner will return here again in the summer

We only really stayed here as a base to go out and explore Gloucester. The bed was comfortable and the room was ok.The bathroom was nice and the best part of the room.The room was absolutely boiling, there was no air conditioning (which wasn’t a huge issue for us),but the radiator was was on even though the dial was in zero.Even though the window was open,it was way too hot in the room.The spa was ok,the pool wasn’t very warm and the jacuzzi wasn’t really blowing any bubbles. Was a good location to visit Gloucester and the quays are a lovely place to visit.We won’t be staying at the hotel again, but did the job for what we required.
