The room is extremely spacious, and it even offers a view of the courtyard. The room is also very clean – I would definitely return to this hot spring hotel again! The breakfast and dinner, which are served in the style of Japanese kaiseki cuisine, are absolutely worth the price! Highly recommended!

Service staff were efficient, although queueing to trade your keys for your shoes slowed things down. (Understandable, because this is also a day-trip onsen, so the hotel needs to ensure all tabs are covered before letting guests go.)
Facilities were old but well-maintained, although my room window couldn't be closed without force. Wide variety of baths to choose from, and convenient hours.
Note that there is no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in guestrooms, as this is an onsen facility - all soaps and bath amenities are provided in the onsen area.
Several onsite restaurants providing many food options, which made up for the lack of vegetarian-friendly options around the area.

山中湖旅行で1泊しました。チェックインしてまず感じたのは客室の 広さとベッドのゆったり感。スーツケースを広げても余裕があり、ゆっくり過ごせました。大浴場・露天風呂もあって、山中湖観光で歩き回った後の疲れを癒せたのは良かったです。スタッフの対応は丁寧で安心感がありました。富士山ビューは部屋によって見え方が違いましたが、天気が良ければ楽しめます。Wi-Fiや空調の細かい部分には少し改善の余地がある印象でしたが、総じて落ち着いた滞在ができ満足でした。

We are a group of four ladies who stayed in Suite 841, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience at Kaneyamaen. The breathtaking view of Mount Fuji from our room was truly unforgettable. The entire environment is serene and calming, and we felt warmly welcomed at every corner of the hotel. Everything is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kaneyamaen to all my friends, and I definitely hope to return for more relaxation therapy in the future.

食事がとても良かったです。
色々楽しめましたし、盛り付けもとても綺麗でした。お寿司や、天ぷら、ステーキはその場で焼いてくれます。
お風呂はとても広く、シャンプーや化粧水や洗顔なども揃っています。
お部屋は少し古い感じがしますが、過ごしやすかったです。

This might be the best place to stay near Mt Fuji! The service is incredible and the staff is very friendly! We booked a dome and loved the sauna, bath, dome, kitchen… everything! The BBQ dinner and breakfast were outstanding and the detailed cooking instructions were very clear. The bed was very comfortable as well.
Only one complaint - gas grill is located inside the kitchen and the room fills with smoke. Best to open the sliding doors to let the air circulate and also clean the grill before turning it on.
The staff helped us book taxis, which helped a lot, too!

A classic old-school modern hotel with ryokan-type service. The room is huge and has excellent views of the river. On a good day, it should be possible to see Mount Fuji as well. There is also big onsen area with an outdoor bath area.
Dinner is served on the ground floor restaurant and it was a delicious multicourse meal which includes really good wagyu steak with wasabi shoyuzuke. Dessert also includes the region's famed grapes. Breakfast was served buffet style with selection of Japanese and western items.
I drove to the hotel with a rental car. It is not too far from a station on a local line but I recommend driving around to explore instead. The patrons to the hotel also seemed more local.

GGuest UserI stayed here on a solo trip. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations beforehand. Since it was a weekday, there weren't many people, so I was able to relax and enjoy the large public bath and sauna. Before my bath, I had curry and boiled dumplings at the restaurant on the second floor. I still felt a bit hungry after my bath, so I went to an izakaya on the second floor. The portions were good and tasty for the price, and they're open until midnight, so I had the luxurious experience of eating and drinking to my heart's content and then going straight to bed in my room. It's a facility I'd definitely like to return to.

It’s not that far from the train station but you will need to take a taxi if you have luggage. We really enjoyed the fact that it was near a huge supermarket. We could buy ingredients to cook.

As soon as I walked in, I was soothed by the whole atmosphere. The space was quiet and elegant, completely unlike being in the city center.
The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – I fell asleep instantly the moment I lay down. 😌 The view from the window was also a huge plus; pulling back the curtains in the morning really made me want to stay an extra day.
The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel completely at ease from check-in to check-out. The location is also very convenient, whether for sightseeing or coordinating with a chauffeured tour.
If you value comfort, tranquility, and overall quality as much as I do, you can confidently book this place! ✔️

As soon as we opened the window, there were many clever koi fish. Whenever someone was on the balcony, they would immediately come over.
There was fish food available at the hotel entrance; it was self-service.
We were very touched. We had a five-year-old child traveling with us, and the hotel staff always made sure to include the child's utensils when preparing cutlery in the restaurant, even though we hadn't ordered dinner for him.
We will definitely come again. Thank you.

LLingyunshuangThe price-performance ratio is very high, there are hot springs for free, and the boss's service is good. Thank you. When I traveled to Japan, this hotel was the most satisfactory for me among the hotels I stayed in Japan. It is next to the Self-Defense Forces Residence.

GGuest UserIt is a traditional hot spring hotel. We stayed in the old wing this time. I heard that one side is newly renovated. The old wing really has its age and the rooms have a bit of a smell.
In mid-February, we made a reservation for the family bath on the 5th floor, but the floor was damaged and had not been repaired. It was dangerous for children to pass by.
The front desk had limited English and could not fully communicate.
There are not many tourists, and overall I am very satisfied.
