Very close to the beach, the day before the hotel was very late at about nine o'clock, I fell asleep directly. I woke up in the morning and saw the blue sky and sea. I was in a very good mood. There seem to be many Russians in the hotel, and the restaurant also specially put a Russian menu. My favorite is the early morning pool, the private venue, casual swimming, the deepest is about two meters, great. The breakfast is also very good, except for the local curry, I can accept it, the papaya is very sweet. Be sure to stay for two more days next time.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were truly amazing — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location is perfect, with plenty of nearby amenities, restaurants, shops, and attractions just a short walk away. Overall, it’s an excellent place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely stunning sea view hotel! I have to rave about the dinner – it was truly excellent! Breakfast, however, wasn't quite as impressive as dinner. The service was fantastic! And the toilet paper in the bathroom was the best quality we encountered throughout our entire trip to Sri Lanka!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa, so much so that I ended up extending by two extra nights. I also invited a friend along so they could experience it as a romantic getaway weekend break, and it truly was—wonderful to experience everything through a “rose-coloured lens.” While the resort is undeniably romantic, the real highlight for us was the ocean and beach itself. We were up early to frolic in the sea at sunrise, then we spent unhurried time strolling the shoreline, walking the beach and soaking up the calming atmosphere. We also loved popping over to a nearby beach lunch restaurant, then returning for more time in the sand. And it wasn’t just the scenery—there were also local puppies that made the whole experience feel even more special. We ended up playing with them, laughing, and getting thoroughly covered in sand, which made the days feel playful, personal, and unforgettable. Set a quadruple room, in fact, can live 6 or 7 people no problem 😄 The hotel is located on the edge of the lake. Since we are going to Yarra National Park to see wildlife the next morning, the store packed breakfast for us very early.

Couldn't fault this hotel. My room was upgraded to a sea view de luxe room and it was fantastic. It was well cleaned every day by Jinendra who also left an amusing 'towel animal' for me daily! Breakfast in the Palms Restaurant was superb, plenty of choice and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Sam was exceptional and went out of his way to get everything I asked for. Madhuka and Dimli also deserve a special mention. The SHACK seafood restaurant was excellent and good value. We also had some evening meals in the Palms Restaurant. They offer a magnificent buffet but we ordered a la carte and were not disappointed. We ventured outside the hotel for an evening meal on a few occasions (across the railway line) but found the standard to be mediocre and not that cheap compared with what was available at the hotel. The swimming pool was easily accessible (graduated steps) and the water wonderfully warm. We never had a problem getting a sun lounger after breakfast although many are obviously reserved early. The extensive beach is lovely for walks. There are sun loungers in the shaded area in the trees but these have to be paid for. The hotel offers a number of daytime activities and there is evening entertainment. A wonderful stay and I would highly recomment this hotel.

The food here is outstanding, on a whole different level. You might not even feel the need to eat out. The hotel has immediate access to the beach, and since it's only hotel guests there, you essentially have it all to yourselves.

Outpost is really good choice for Weligama trip during the season. Next to the quiet part of thr beach, tasty (but not cheap) cafe, comfortable rooms and very helpfull staff, strong wifi. But for offseason could be a bit offsided. No cafe around, nothing on the beach, need to walk to any store or activity. Several points to make your stay more comfortable: 1. Roomservice upon request 2. In beachfront rooms the beds are not fixed to tables behind them (as you see on foto). So be carefull, it moves =) 3. Ask about foot shower location in front of the hotel. It's a bit hidden.
