This is a B&B-style hotel. While the entrance is a bit difficult to find, chartering a car is easy, public transportation is difficult to reach. The room is spacious, bug-free, and offers mountain views. The restaurant is reasonably priced, and the breakfast is simple, but with freshly made omelets, it's quite good. The staff were friendly, but a bit overly helpful. They offered tea and water at breakfast, but they were actually looking for a tip. Since I didn't have cash with me that morning, I went upstairs, saying I'd give them money. They chased me from the second floor to the fourth and asked me how my breakfast was at my door. Their intentions were obvious. Fortunately, considering the prices at Ella, I gave them 200 rupees and they happily left, which was acceptable.

The ventilation window of the bathroom is directly open to the outdoors. After turning on the light at night, mosquitoes will fly in and small geckos will climb in. The room may be because it is too humid and has a smell. However, the hotel's service was very good. We went to Safari the next morning because the off-road vehicle was stuck in the mud and delayed the time. We returned to the hotel late. The hotel also called to ask if we needed to set aside our breakfast.

1. No air conditioning, the room is very humid, the bed is cold and wet
2. Integrity hotel construction knocks at the door of the room early in the morning
3. The room is very not soundproof. The hotel and the scenic spot share the road from reception to the room. There is also a traffic jam. Various tuk tuk passing outside the room. It is the horn and the engine roar. Very noisy.
4. No service at all except check-in and check-out

Everything was very good! Mesmerizing landscapes. Excellent staff who work as hard as possible to please hotel guests.
The only thing that upset me was the double bed, which instead of one mattress had two separate mattresses. In such cases, there is a “hole” in the bed between these mattresses.

Cons: Arrived around 3pm, and waited for a full hour to check in, almost collapsed. The room has no air conditioning and simple facilities. Open bathroom, don't take a shower at night, it will be cold.

The hotel's commitment to cleanliness was evident, and the staff were consistently helpful, making our visit thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast each morning provided a good start to the day, while the dinner buffet was particularly impressive, offering a fabulous spread that was a highlight of our evenings.
The hotel's serene atmosphere allowed us to relax and recharge, which was much appreciated after exploring the local area. We felt welcomed and valued as guests throughout our stay, thanks to the attentive service.
If our travels bring us back to Kataragama, Mandara Rosen Yala will certainly be our hotel of choice once more. It's an establishment that promises comfort and excellent dining experiences.

GGuest UserA very magical travel experience. We went to the campground at 9 o'clock in the evening. The jeep was bumpy for ten minutes and felt almost sold. After we arrived, we found the new continent. Plus we didn’t eat. The taste of BBQ was average. But there are many small animals bowing their heads when eating. Accompanying, looking up is full of stars, very atmospheric
