Hotel Dengan Pools di Zanzibar North Region, Tanzania

We were warmly greeted by the staff at the entrance. I had booked a deluxe room and had arrived early, would have appreciated an early checkin but the room wasn’t ready so meanwhile I explored the resort amenities. It has a private beach with a mini golf area and a bar alongside. The staff is friendly but most of the staff is new, a bit slow but they get you what you need. Maybe that’s how they’re wired, I’m unsure but they were kind. Pictures don’t do enough justice to this property. It’s massive, beautiful interiors with high end quality products. Loved the spa, felt so rejuvenated and I loved their bathing product line, the shower gels, etc. It’s ace quality. Food was good. They had live performance that got everyone on flood. It’s one of the best properties I’ve stayed at.

The pool view rooms were reasonably clean, but the facilities were rather traditional and not modern. The standard rooms were slightly less impressive. The view was fantastic; the sea view rooms must have been amazing! The downside of the standard rooms was that they were quite noisy and the soundproofing was poor!

Nice hotel, but receptionists refuse my request to check in early and i was seriously sick that day they keep me in lobby almost 3hrs no one care  My friend was reminded them about my condition but no any action from front desk

An amazing hotel, with unforgettable experience great service and the amenities are perfect for a couples getaway. A perfect getaway to connect with nature and your loved ones. Would definitely want to return back. Special thanks to Salum ( our butler) for an amazing experience and taking such great care of us even when he was fasting for ramadan!

First of all, bad, 1. Booked an executive room, but this hotel does not have an executive lounge at all. I don’t know what the difference between the executive room and the cheap ordinary room is. The executive room is reflected in it. It is recommended that Trip.com . If you don’t have a lounge hotel, don’t sell the executive room type, or write down what courtesy is there? 2. There are frequent power outages and power outages, but it will come soon, and it is estimated that it has something to do with the local power system. 3. Living on the second floor, just arrived in the house, there is no water in the bathroom, and there is no water in the toilet. It took a long time to call to come. Let's talk about the advantages. 1. Great hotel, but some niggles. Has safe parking, central location, nice staff, big rooms. In our first block power off virtually every night 6-9.00 pm, Did get moved and was a huge improvement. Breakfast could be a little more interesting On the whole well worth a visit 😎

The location and recreational facilities here are excellent. The staff are also generally friendly. However, there's a cultural difference that's worth noting: the local 'pole pole' (slowly, slowly) and 'hakuna matata' (no worries) mindset can clash a bit with the 'ppalli ppalli' (hurry up) tendency of Koreans. Haha. But if you experience it, you'll realize there's no ill intent, so as a traveler, it's best to just relax and go with the flow. I mention this because I had a bewildering experience where I booked through Trip.com, but upon arrival, the resort told me there was no reservation. In the end, I spoke with a Trip.com agent, and the issue was resolved well. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but it seemed like a booking system problem. I don't think it was solely Trip.com's fault; I suspect there might have been a system issue on the resort's side as well. The resort staff working that day did their best (honestly, there wasn't much they could do; it was evening, and they even showed me on the monitor that there was no reservation). Luckily, there was a room available, so I was able to book the same room on the spot. As soon as the payment went through, it seemed to appear immediately in the resort's booking system, and they gave me the confirmation. Haha. I was so tired, humid, and mosquito-bitten after flying in from Serengeti and arriving in the evening... it was tough. Haha. I'm so glad it was resolved; I don't even want to think about what would have happened if there were no rooms left. Make sure to send a reservation confirmation email to the resort and get it confirmed. On the way, I saw a Google review from another Korean who experienced the exact same thing and left an angry review. They booked through Agoda, and I booked through Trip.com, so I believed I wouldn't have this issue. That's because I've never had such a problem in the several years I've been booking through Trip.com. Yes. So, definitely send a reservation confirmation email directly to the resort and get it confirmed! The facilities are clean, convenient, and really great. For this price, I think it's excellent. And having a dive center attached is very convenient. The boat for the dolphin tour was really nice. Lolololol. Our boat was the best. Of course, it was more expensive. And I loved having unlimited drinks at the bar every day. I want to go again. It looked like they were building another resort next door, haha. I hope this review is helpful to everyone.

Very well managed property, the best in Kendwa. All very clean, staff very helpful. Prices in restaurant are very reasonable for the area. Beach area well maintained with sunbeds and waiters to help you relax. Security all around the place so beach vendors will not bother you. This hotel is in center of everything. Diving and skydiving centers right on the premises. Disco and full moon party, singers and performers every night. Lots of shops and cafes just outside the place: exchange, SIM cards, fruits, alko, taxi, tuktuks. Friends can visit with daypass - like 30tsh, spendable at restaurant. Hotel is very quiet inside in the living area. We stayed in 4 rooms in total (2 villas first night and 2 for the rest), all very clean and serviced very well. The only negative thing - first night we stayed in villas, as rooms were not ready, but moving the next day took too long, waited for like 3 hours for new rooms. And the exchange rate is only 2300 for the USD deposit, while just outside exchange rate is 2600 for USD. So leave the deposit in USD, don't worry about paying every bill, just sign with room number, but pay in shillings at checkout. Don't bother with halfboard, just get breakfast, lots of dining options around to explore. Akuna matata!

Hotel: Beautiful views and nice arquitecture. On our last day they let us do a free late check out and have dinner and stay at the hotel till 11pm which really shows that the hotel care about their guests. Food: The food is good. The cliff restaurant is very nice and with good dishes. Buffet is quite diverse and you have the BBQ night which is awesome. Something to improve: desserts. Service: All the staff is very nice and friendly. Pools: You have 3/4 different pools with 2 bars which is great to order some drinks. Room: big rooms and very spacious. Bed sheets, towels and matress are quite old. They need to be changed. Gym: Needs an improvement. To close it and are some fan/air conditioner. They should add some running and bike equipment. Beach: Beautiful beach with super crystal water. Something bad is the local people that wants to sell everything at all time. But I guess that is something normal in all Zanzibar. Score: 8,5/10

Best birthday weekend ever! The staff were warm, welcoming, and full of joy 🤗. My beachfront room was breathtaking, waking up to the ocean was pure bliss. Huge thanks to the team on 31.08.25 for making my birthday so special with songs and a beautiful cake. Asanteni sana! 💜
