"I stayed at Chongqing Yanyu Hotel (Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street Hongyadong Branch) during a short solo transit in Chongqing, and it turned out to be a really convenient and comfortable choice.
The location is definitely the highlight — right in the heart of Jiefangbei and within walking distance to Hongyadong. As a solo traveler with limited time, it made exploring the city super easy, even just for a quick evening stroll. There are plenty of food options, convenience stores, and cafes nearby, I had a hotpot and walked back at 1 am and still felt safe.
The room was clean, modern and surprisingly cozy for the price. It had everything I needed for a short stay — a comfortable bed, decent shower, it’s well-maintained and practical.
Service was friendly and efficient, though English may be limited — something to keep in mind if you don’t speak Mandarin. Still, the staff were helpful and did their best to assist.
For a transit stop or short solo stay, I’d definitely recommend it. Great value, unbeatable location, and stress-free for travelers just passing through Chongqing.
PS. I took a K01 bus from the airport and the hotel is at the last stop then you have to walk for just 150 metres to get to the hotel"

"The room is very spacious and there are 2 sofas that we can put our luggage. We like that that the toilet and shower areas are separated. Spotless clean room.
Hotel is centrally located within walking distance to 解放碑, 洪崖洞、十八梯。 plenty of eateries. Only downside is we had to carry our luggage up a flight of steps.
Service is impeccable. They can help transport our luggage to airport and staff will help with filling up the transport form.
Will definitely stay here again if I am travelling to 重庆."

JjlriveroaPerfect location, close to all the main attractions and with easy access to multiple metro lines, which made getting around very convenient. The room we chose, with a view of Raffles, was incredible, definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The service was good overall, although at times it seemed like the reception wasn’t available 24/7. It’s worth noting that the building is a mixed-use skyscraper, so the elevators can get quite busy during peak hours. However, it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended.

TTrikun PrudhommePerfect place to stay for my trip in Chongqing. Close enough to Jiefangbei and Hongya Cave for me to just walk there. The view was insane and room was clean and cleaned everyday nicely. The receptionists were very nice and very helpful when I needed to book activities and they even helped me order food.
Would definitely come back!

PPenguinHotel ini terletak di kawasan yang luar biasa, berhampiran stesen metro Xiaoshizi hanya kira-kira 3 minit berjalan kaki. Hotel ini terletak di tingkat 20 bangunan, berhampiran monumen, pusat membeli-belah, dan banyak kedai untuk makanan tempatan serta makanan jalanan pada waktu malam. Saya juga menempah bilik untuk rakan saya, dan mereka sangat kagum dengan pemandangan dan lokasi. Saya mendapat pemandangan bandar untuk diri saya sendiri, dan rakan saya mendapat pemandangan gunung/sungai. Sangat disyorkan, dengan harga ini berpatutan untuk menginap di Chongqing.

PPengguna TetamuHighly recommended. We stayed in the room with two queen size beds on level 15, forgot the room number. We can see the gorgeous night view every night.
Great location: Literally 1 min away from Lingjiangmen station (line 2) and jiefangbei. Plenty of affordable food options available till late night.
Great service: the lady manager personally brought us up to our room and explained how to use it. There is no phone in the room but the lady manager added me to her wechat to send me recommendations on where to eat and where to visit. We can also text her if we have any questions. Really passionate about her work yet not overbearing and pushy. There is another older male staff who is less friendly but still delivers service well.
Room: so cozy that we didnt want to leave our room. Bed was firm. 2 choices of pillows. Shower had good water pressure. Clothes line for us to hang wet clothes. i also like that they provided a rack near the door where u can hang jackets & sit down to wear shoes. they also provided bedroom slippers, toothbrush, shower caps. Tv had many choices of free local tv programs. Room size was spacious enough for the 3 of us and carpeted. Plenty of power sockets. Everything looks new & well maintained. I feel secure too because u need a password to access the room area.
Negatives: 1) the do not disturb sign does not seem to work. The cleaning lady still came in but no complaints since she kindly cleared the dustbin & topped up bottled water and toilet paper, which i appreciated. 2) the building consists of many tenants so have to wait quite some time for the lifts. 3) the hotel name is not displayed on the building exterior. So u need to look for Times Square Apartments, then look for C 座， and take the lift to level 25.
Overall, i feel that the management of the hotel really thought through what guests really need from a hotel stay and delivered it well. One of my favorite hotel stays ever!

TTashPhenomThe Laizhu Qianxun Sky Hotel was a great place to stay in Chongqing. From check-in to check-out, everything felt smooth and well organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily choose Laizhu Qianxun Sky Hotel again. Recommended for anyone visiting Chongqing!

FFaizal BThe hotel is old and outdated for the price paid. The aircon kept increasing in temp up to 27C although set at 20C...when informed, reception said it was centralised and nothing can be done... Just switch off the aircon and open the window! - so why put aircon control in room in the first place?
No sign in English for foreign tourist to find this hotel therefore confusing to find as there are 3 hotels in the same building!
The windows are NOT cleaned, so although I had the bridge view due to the dirty windows, it was NOT worth the price.

LLaKdoudou1. Lokasi hotel sangat baik Ia sangat dekat dengan Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, stesen kereta api bawah tanah Ciqikou dan tepi sungai, dan pengangkutan adalah mudah. Di belakang hotel adalah Baixiang Street Terdapat beberapa orang dan pemandangannya bagus, sesuai untuk mengambil gambar Terdapat banyak restoran di atas, yang sangat mudah. Di tingkat bawah hotel adalah Balai Polis Chaotianmen, yang sememangnya selamat.
2. Keadaan bilik dan kebersihannya baik. Biliknya cukup besar, tingkapnya cukup luas, dan pemandangannya dalam dua arah. Terdapat peti sejuk, mesin basuh, ketuhar gelombang mikro dan pinggan mangkuk. Katilnya cukup besar dan sofanya cukup empuk Ia boleh tidurkan orang dewasa di atas sofa. Satu-satunya kelemahan ialah pintunya agak lemah dan goyah, dan ia tidak berasa cukup selamat.
3. Perkhidmatan, kakitangan sangat bersemangat, mereka membantu membuka pintu dan menolak bagasi di lobi, dan simpanan bagasi juga sangat formal.
4. Sarapan, saya perlu mengadu tentang ini. Ia terlalu buruk. Restoran ini sangat kecil. Ia mengambil masa yang lama untuk mencari tempat duduk, makanan hanya beberapa perkara yang mudah. Ramai yang beratur nak masak mee dan tak ada pesanan semuanya bergantung pada suara lantang anda. Jadi saya dengan tegas membatalkan sarapan pagi Terima kasih kepada perkhidmatan pelanggan Ctrip, ia hebat dan sangat cekap.

KKeith OHalloranThis place was in an ideal location! The same elevators can take you to the famous Square on the 22nd Floor, and only a few minutes walk to Hongyadong historical site. Only 5 minutes walk to the metro station too. Amazing big breakfast as well and lovely view at night. The projector had issues in our room but the staff were quick to make it up to us with snacks and late checkout. Comfortable bed and perfect for our short stay in Chongqing. 👍

PPengguna TetamuOverall a great place. Beautiful rooms of the highest quality in every regard. The best features are the hot spring pools in the rooms of course. The showers are also great( two in every shower room) Great quality TV with great sound. Good selection of movies( not the latest releases) but all free. Food at the hotell restaurants had good standard. The best we have experienced in China. But for double the price we would pay for the same quality Chinese food in Norway. Surprisingly!
But keep clear of the pizza. It is actually just a frozen pizza type. Very small. We didn’t order any more western dishes after that, except for the Cesar’s salad. Which was good.
The place is old now and a bit worn. But it’s still is very very beautiful and high quality.
Where this hotell really shines is the services of the staff. Even if they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Chinese they are very patient.
To a Norwegian it is almost too much. They carry your bags even when thy are too heavie and many for one person.
They drive you you to and from your room if you have a villa.
We got an upgrade from ordinary room with hot spring pool and double bed to a villa! Because we found 6 small worms in the shower room.
I think this is pretty hard to avoid in such a sub tropical and humid environment.
But we reported it to the staff and they immediately gave us an upgrade with a complementary big fruit basket. We were blown away by this huge upgrade.
Only thing that was a bit negative and unexpected is the extra deposit fee which is quite high.
I think this should have been more clearly informed in the hotell booking and hotell online page.
We were a bit low on funds as Banyan tree was our last hotell stay in China before leaving and we were on a planned but tight budget.
We solved it of course with our Mastercard but it caused a bit stress for us.
And a second thing is that using Alipay instead of WeChat is more difficult at the hotell. ( not impossible)But without Chinese phone number you can’t use WeChat.
