Great hotel! perfect location (close to transportation) and the hotel was very clean! The only item is that if you are traveling from USA most if the hotels in Europe do not have have an AC, with the exception of the american chain hotels. This is something to consider if you are traveling during summer time.

Mit einer Freundin wollte ich dem Weihnachtsrummel entfliehen und habe hier eine ruhige Oase gefunden. Das Essen war fabelhaft und kunstvoll arrangiert, auch mit fleischloser Variante. Im Hallenbad kann man gut einige Zeit schwimmen. Religiös wird man zu nichts gedrängt und kann sich also auch sehr wohl fühlen, ohne an religiösen Aktivitäten teilzunehmen. Die Zimmer sind modern und schlicht gestaltet. Es ist kein kuscheliges Kleinhotel, sondern ein Seminarhotel mit entsprechenden Räumlichkeiten und der entsprechenden Atmosphäre. Mit dem ÖV ist es nicht ganz einfach: je nach Strecke hat man eine längere Wartezeit in Sattel-Ägeri. Es lohnt sich, diese am Bahnhof im Warteraum, der auf einer Seite offen ist, zu verbringen oder im Holzhäuschen auf dem Bahnhofplatz. Die Busstation nach Oberägeri befindet sich jedoch an der Hauptstrasse.

we have choosed the room while booking the hotel and when checking-in they just give us the room keys and when we enter inside the room firstly they didn’t provide us the same room that we paid/choosed ,secondly the room was so dirty and without cleaning seems like someone just checked out and leave like that .we told to the receptionist but he came and just took the video in his mobile phone and nothing else. nothing worth it according to their price and service. not recommended

Check in und Frühstück befinden sich im Schwesterhotel, 5-10min entfernt. Wir haben uns für den Freihof entschieden, da er günstiger war. Für den Preis den wir bezahlt haben, waren wir begeistert! Die Badzimmer sind relativ neu, alles ist sehr sauber und man profitiert an vielen Stellen vom 4-Stern Service: Beispielsweise hat es verschiedene Pflegeprodukte, Nähset, Rasierset, Wasserflaschen auf dem Zimmer etc. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker und das Personal äusserst freundlich & zuvorkommend. Es war für uns kein Problem, ein paar Minuten zu Fuss zum Schwesterhotel zu gehen, um zu frühstücken und einzuchecken, es war uns den Preisunterschied. Alles in Allem absolut zu empfehlen!

Stayed for a couple of nights on a business trip. Room was great, spacious and modern. Only downside is the reception is only manned until about 10.45-11.00 at night, so if you are arriving late you need to check in at the sister hotel around the corner. Bar was pricey but I think that’s just Switzerland! Breakfast was good, enough options, but kind of spread out over the dining area. The hotel offers large umbrellas to borrow at reception which was a bonus. It is well located, easy access to the train station and city.

I was very pleased with my stay here. The hotel is thoroughly modern and comfortable by American standards. Rooms are large with comfortable bed and lots of light. European plugs abound just bring your converter. Hotel is extremely quiet so no problem taking a nap after long flight or getting a good night rest. Restaurant is very pretty and breakfast quite pleasant and not crazy expensive for Swiss. Will happily return next time business brings me here. Winter view from my room shown.
