Very comfortable stay which is affordable and clean and the staff Novia Wang is also very friendly and helpful in assisting me in my stay.

Our second time visiting Qingdao as a family, and omwe had a great stay at Shangri-La Qingdao. The hotel is an excellent choice for families thanks to its very family-friendly environment and top-tier location. It’s conveniently situated right next to popular spots like MixC Mall, so there’s no stress about where to go—only the fun challenge of deciding what to eat among the many restaurant options! The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches for children, such as a baby crib, kids’ slippers, and shampoo/lotion amenities—definitely a big plus for families traveling with toddlers. The only disappointment during our stay was related to a special request. I had emailed the hotel in advance asking for a small room decoration for our wedding anniversary, and they had confirmed it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t prepared upon our arrival, which was quite disappointing as I had planned it as a surprise for my wife. After speaking with reception, they kindly arranged a small cake, which we appreciated, but it still felt like a slight letdown. That said, we would really like to recognize one outstanding housekeeping staff member: 刘建鑫. He truly made a difference during our stay. Not only did he politely check to ensure we were not in the room before entering—respecting our privacy—but he also noticed a faulty bed guard and replaced it proactively without us even mentioning it. That level of initiative and care is what I consider top-tier service. 刘建鑫，感谢你啦！！ Breakfast offered a wide and diverse selection, ranging from Western to Eastern cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Dinner, however, was just average for our taste (a personal preference). Overall, if you’re traveling with your family—especially with children—I highly recommend Shangri-La Qingdao. Thank you.

I stayed for one night and loved how close this hotel is to the airport. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful! My flight arrived late at night, and though I was a bit confused about finding the shuttle, I only waited less than 5 minutes. The team went out of their way to make sure I got to my room safely! The room was spotless, warm, and very comfortable with all the necessary amenities like a toothbrush. The only minor issue was that the sink drained a bit slowly, but it wasn't critical. Highly recommend! 我在这里住了一晚，离机场真的非常近。工作人员极其礼貌和热情！我是深夜到达的，虽然一开始没找到接驳车，但等了不到5分钟车就来了。员工们甚至主动寻找我，确保我顺利入住，非常贴心！房间非常干净、暖和且舒适，还配备了牙刷等齐全的洗漱用品。唯一的小问题是洗手池下水有点慢，但完全不影响入住。非常推荐！

We arrived quite late but everything was already ready for us upon check-in. We got a welcoming drink and had a room conveniently close to the lobby (where you can get free beers at specific times during the day/evening). The room is spacious, and even came with a sitting area outside. A very special thanks to Quentin and Felix for making us comfomtable on the day of checkout where they provided us with everything while we waited before going to the train station. They have been really genorous beyond expectations. Also thanks to 吕凯乐 for the good service :)

We really loved our two night stay here. We slept very well for our hike to Taishan. Walking distance to Hongmen gate was convenient. Room is equipped with modern amenities, nicely designed (good natural light, privacy, and air-flow), comfortable bedding, and roof deck is a bonus! Very hearty wonton soup breakfast. Very accommodating host—we used our translator app so communication was no problem! Highly recommend!

Saya dapati apa yang kelihatan seperti kutu atau pepijat yang membesar merangkak ke atas katil saya. Hotel ini cantik dan saya menempahnya untuk 1 malam sebagai layanan mewah supaya saya dapat berehat dengan baik untuk persinggahan saya ke destinasi lain. Bilik saya berbau seperti asap basi malangnya, walaupun saya telah meminta untuk tidak merokok. Saya membayar tambahan untuk tempahan saya untuk sarapan pagi dan terpaksa bangun pada pukul 6 pagi, makan sarapan pada pukul 6.30 pagi dan pergi ke lapangan terbang pada pukul 7.20 pagi. Bilik saya mempunyai tab mandi jadi saya mandi sebelum waktu tidur dan tidur pada tengah malam, saya bangun untuk mematikan lampu pada pukul 1 pagi dan mendapati pepijat ini merayap di tepi katil saya menuju ke arah saya. Saya fikir ia sama ada kutu atau pepijat katil, badan penuh dengan darah. Ia mempunyai 6 atau 8 kaki, sukar untuk dilihat tetapi saya mengambil video yang tidak membenarkan saya memuat naik. Saya tidak mempunyai sebarang masalah dengan pepijat biasa seperti labah-labah, tetapi jika ia adalah kutu atau bedbug ia adalah masalah besar. Saya benar-benar bimbang ada lebih banyak bersembunyi di dalam katil, saya menghubungi kaunter penerimaan tetamu untuk mendapatkan bantuan dan mereka melihat pepijat yang saya tangkap dalam cawan kaca. Mereka memohon maaf sedalam-dalamnya dan menukar bilik saya, jadi saya terpaksa bergerak pada pukul 1.30 pagi. Saya menjelaskan saya sudah letih dan perlu bangun awal. Di bilik baru saya tidak dapat tidur kerana saya terus bimbang tentang pepijat katil. Saya bangun beberapa kali untuk memeriksa katil saya. Dan ada sepasang suami isteri yang bising di sebelah berbual kuat sehingga lewat sehingga saya tidak boleh tidur. Untuk hotel mewah, anda tidak perlu kehilangan tidur sepanjang malam kerana anda bimbang tentang pepijat atau kutu menggigit anda. Juga tidak boleh mendengar bunyi bising daripada tetamu lain melalui dinding. Saya sangat letih pada keesokan harinya dan tidak mempunyai selera makan. Saya bertanya sama ada mereka boleh membayar balik tambahan yang saya bayar untuk sarapan pagi kerana saya tidak boleh memakannya, tetapi mereka berkata ia tidak boleh. Jadi saya memaksa diri untuk mencuba makan 1 biji telur dan sedikit bubur nasi tetapi tidak dapat menghabiskannya. Sangat mahal untuk membayar sarapan pagi dan hampir tidak makan, ia memalukan mereka tidak dapat membayar balik sarapan memandangkan saya tidak tidur. Untuk hotel 5*, saya ingin berehat dengan baik dan tidur nyenyak. Tetapi ia tidak seperti itu. Kakitangan sangat baik dan membantu, tetapi tidak begitu mudah untuk pergi ke sini bersendirian. Bukan mudah untuk menempah teksi untuk keesokan paginya ke lapangan terbang dan ia mengambil masa 40 minit bantuan, lelaki itu sangat baik dan suka menolong, tetapi pihak hotel harus membuat sistem yang lebih mudah untuk tetamu asing menempah teksi. Semasa saya mula-mula tiba di lapangan terbang Jinan, saya tidak tahu bagaimana untuk sampai ke hotel. Tiada ATM di dalam hotel jadi anda tidak boleh mengeluarkan wang tunai, dan anda tidak boleh membayar dengan kad asing untuk menempah teksi. Laman web shangri-la tidak memberikan sebarang butiran untuk pengangkutan awam. Ia hanya mengatakan pemindahan bas tersedia tetapi tidak menyatakan nombor bas. Saya akan memberikan butiran di sini tetapi saya terlupa nama laluan dan nombor bas sekarang kerana ia sibuk dan saya sangat letih, maaf. Saya terpaksa membuang banyak masa untuk meminta bantuan di lapangan terbang kerana kakitangan tidak berbahasa Inggeris. Nasib baik ada orang tolong saya. Bas akan berharga 20yuan dan membawa anda ke pusat di mana anda akan melihat hotel antara benua dan pusat membeli-belah yang besar di sebelah kiri bas, turun di perhentian itu, ia mengambil masa 1 jam. Dari sana hanya 5 minit berjalan kaki ke shangri-la. Untuk hotel besar mereka harus memberikan arahan mudah di laman web kepada tetamu. Kakitangan memohon maaf yang mendalam atas pepijat di atas katil, dan menawarkan pengurangan 10% daripada kadar bilik. Walaupun apabila saya mendaftar keluar tiada bayaran balik diberikan dan mereka tidak menyebut apa-apa mengenainya, saya rasa mereka hanya mengenakan harga penuh. Secara peribadi saya rasa 10% tidak mencukupi. Tiada siapa yang mahu menukar bilik pada pukul 1.30 pagi kerana pepijat merayap di atas katil. Saya langsung tidak tidur dan berasa gatal kerana asyik memikirkan tentang pepijat dan tidak boleh makan sarapan pagi. Saya benar-benar keletihan pada hari berikutnya jadi saya tidak dapat berbuat apa-apa di destinasi seterusnya dan terpaksa membuang 1 hari lagi untuk berehat. Malangnya bukan pengalaman yang mudah di shangri-la.

I really enjoyed my stay here, it was very convenient and also very cheap. I am quite enraptured by this hotel. There were also a lot of amenities like automatic curtain, gym available, delivery to the room, etc. The bathroom design was quite reasonable.

I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Gao Xue（高雪） at the front desk for her exceptional service during my stay. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and highly professional. Her attitude was genuinely friendly and patient, which immediately made me feel comfortable and valued as a guest. What impressed me the most was her kindness in offering me a complimentary room upgrade. It was such a pleasant surprise and truly made my stay even more enjoyable. The upgraded room was wonderful, and I truly appreciate this thoughtful gesture. It clearly shows her dedication to guest satisfaction and her strong commitment to delivering excellent service. Throughout my stay, Ms. Gao Xue was always helpful and responsive whenever I had questions or needed assistance. Her positive attitude, efficiency, and professionalism reflect very well on the hotel as a whole. Thank you again, Ms. Gao Xue, for your outstanding hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Excellent stay experience. A hotel brand stands true for its reputation. My request for early check in was considered without any hassle. Was pleasantly surprised especially after a long journey. Could not use other services such as spa, gym etc. breakfast varied and really delicious ! Loved the design of room balcony and the view very much ! In room dining was quick and pleasant.

Fantastic location next to the main attractions and shopping areas. Due to low season, there were no crowds and we had the breakfast buffet pretty much to ourselves. The buffet had a selection of local and international dishes. The staff were courteous and assisted wherever possible despite possible despite the language barrier. The rooms were massive and very clean. Our only complaint was the hot water in the shower of our room was not hot enough. We had it to the max and still the water was lukewarm. Not really good after a long day out in the cold!
