Super spacious and comfortable bed, two restrooms are very rare in hotel suite. We love the stay, and the services are excellent and considerate, breakfast has some distinct vegetable salads and quite memorable.

Service and staff are exceptional. They will message you 1 days in advance to arrange the free transfer from the HSR station to the hotel. They also have afternoon tea of tea and biscuits. Staff are enthusiastic in helping you to arrange for transport and tours. Location wise, hotel is about 8 minutes walk to the pedestrian walk area of old town and the busiest street in the pedestrian walk area.

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

Comfortable hotel in a refurbished old castle on top of a hill. Comes with an onsen, including outdoor onsens. However, location was a bit inaccessible with no amenities nearby so taking a cab to the city was essential for food and groceries. Staff were also curt and not very friendly.

Very comfortable stay. Hotel is older but in excellent condition with very comfortable quiet rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was excellent with extensive Chinese and western options and even espresso coffee made to order. There was a bit of smoke smell in the corridor at times but none in the rooms and everything was very clean. Hotel was well located in the old town and close to the impressive nine dragon screen. We’d happily stay again

The hotel was well located. The room exactly like it was described online. We reserved two rooms without windows for one day it was cost efficient! Unfortunately I could not reserve directly 4 breakfast online only two (one per room), we have to pay directly at breakfast for the two others one. We stop at Datong to visited one of UNESCO site and see the all Datong city. We thought more foreigners will visit this beautiful small city. No one speaks English (and that’s ok) but for a 4 stars hotel the front desk lady looks a bit lost with the check in procedure for foreigners (and I work in a 5 stars hotel in beijing so I know the procedure as a French working in China). Also, the isolation is bad, the front desk already inform us upon check in but we did not thought we will heard even the other room bathrooms flush. Thank you for this night your hotel is beautiful

預訂時其中一種房型衹能訂一晚導致分別訂了兩種户型，入住後酒店前台免費幫我們升級了不用換房間，單這個主動服務意識就值得給五星好評！酒店雖然比較舊設施不算高級，看上去性價比不高，但如公園般的佈局，熱情有禮的服務，幾乎直達晉祠博物館的地理位置，這些入住體驗已經值回票價。早餐也算豐盛，服務員衹要有空盤馬上收拾，我們私下都佩服他們眼力。下次如果再來太原應該會再次入住！

The hotel service staff is just amazing from the front desk , waitress at the breakfast restaurants and also security staff. They really make you feel welcome. Rooms are not new but still maintained well. They could do better if they replace the carpet with a flooring that can be more easily cleaned. The location is very good. The well known Sunji Bao restaurant is just opposite and you can take public bus to tourist sites just outside the hotel. The buffet breast is just awesome. Some reviews say that they are just ok, but the reality is not like that. Have attached some photos to show the buffet spread.

Bilik itu terletak di dalam hutan, kemudahannya baru, dan kolam air panasnya sangat baik. Secara keseluruhan, perkhidmatannya baik; pelayan di sarapan pagi dan kolam air panas Starlight sangat ramah dan prihatin – sungguh hebat. Walau bagaimanapun, kakitangan hotel lain tidak menyambut saya secara proaktif, dan kakitangan meja depan agak tidak proaktif, yang agak menjengkelkan berbanding perkhidmatan keseluruhan di Fengcheng International Hotel yang kemudiannya.
