Perfect location for north terminal as inside it, but this means there will be noise disturbance.Our hotel overlooked the terminal next to the shuttle train, which you can hear. The room is fine for 1 night stay, unfortunately the hotel had and issue eith jotvwater do had s cold shower, would hsve been helpful them to out a sign at reception and maybe in the lift to warn and apologise ad there were a number of unhappy guests, but I accept this was out if their control and that were doing their best to fix ASAP. We had breakfast included but only continental as hot breakfast not served until 7am and we had to check in to our flight at 6.30am, but what we had was OK, but wouldn't have paid extra for it. Overall, it was a good convenient hotel for an early flight and would stay again.

Booked via Holiday Extras for this hotel as we needed a place close to the airport to park our car and stay overnight for our earlier morning flight to Spain. Welcome on arrival first class. Everything was explained clearly and with a smile. Our request for an early morning call noted and carried out on time. Bit of a rush leaving as we tried to catch the shuttle but again staff dealt very quickly with everything and enabled us to catch the shuttle. On arrival back at the hotel after our holiday, again staff on reception very very efficient polite and informative. Room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. A perfect stay! Thank you.

I specifically booked a night at the Sofitel Gatwick because it included 'Meet and Greet' parking with Maple Parking. Had they not included this I would have still stayed but made other arrangments for my car. I arrived at the Maple Parking Meet and Greet and parked the car. Took my keys over to the attendant and signed in. I then asked if they could give me 20 minutes to check in to the hotel, change clothes and bring a bag back to the car. We didnt want to bring a bag of unclean clothes on holiday with us. Here's where things went downhill faster than Gwynth Paltrow on ski's. The attendant, a tall bloke with a mid-european accent shouted at me 'No, do you know you are at an airport'. He actually shouted this. Shouted. To a customer. Take a minute to breathe that in. Fortunatly I knew I was at an airport, having driven 4 hours to get there. To hear that I was at an airport was no surprise, to be shouted at by a car park attendant was. I explained that I didnt want to take a case of unclean clothes on holiday with me. His response to that was 'we are extremly busy and your car will be removed immediately'. I asked if the hotel would hold the bag and he replied 'No they will not hold your stupid bag'. Here's where I should have murdered him with his Maple Meet and Greet Staff lanyard, but I did not. I asked for my keys back to be told once again in an truely agresive manner 'if you take your keys I will close the entry and you can't come back'. I took the keys and left. I then had to park at Gatawick Long stay for an additional £150. We finally checked into the hotel, explained the situation. The checkin lady (Alessia?) apologised and gave us two tokens for a free drink at the bar. They also kept our bag for us. Is this the fault of Sofitel Gatwick? I think it is. They decided to partner with a company that treats people appalingly. So they've got to accept responsibility for that. Please share this review, If I saw something like this I would have chose another car park or another hotel. Other people should be warned.

It's a great location if you like the quiet area. There are many public transport 6 minutes walking distance to main city guildford, from there you can take 40 minutes tren to London

Fantastic - abit hit and miss on arrival but Victoria sorted this out Very grateful and very accommodating Would def stay there again without hesitation

Lovely hotel, the location is great as it is a few minutes away from the shopping centre. Me and my husband came for a weekend away and we loved that we could just walk to the shops. The kfc and McDonald’s is a few minutes away too. The room itself was nice, it had the usual stuff, iron, tea and coffee etc. The bathtub was super small, if you are plus size, you will struggle to lay in the bath but it’s not a big problem. The staff were very friendly, we even got given a cookie upon arrival and they kindly gave us a complimentary 1 hour free extra time for check out (we paid £20 for the rest of the hours). Overall a lovely hotel.

I spent a total of three days at the Hotel whilst on a work trip which included needing some time to do computer based work in the evenings. It turned out to be the perfect place to stay. A comfortable and quiet room with all the facilities you could ask for, a great breakfast with friendly staff and a kind of 'make yourself at home' feel about the place. I did not use the restaurant as I was working late but did enjoy pie and mash ordered from the bar area one evening, (along with a pint), and both went down a treat. There is a health spa there too so next time I will remember to pack my swim shorts. All in all it was an extremely pleasant stay and I saved money by booking through Trip.com too.

We had a great overnight stay with two rounds of golf even if the bar prices were slightly on the high side. Only downside was the food. The evening meal for all 3 courses was as bad as I have had anywhere. Prawn cocktail was very vinegary. The Pork Belly loin roll was 80% fat. Now I expect some fat as the nature of the dish. Just not that much. The rest of the main was lovely. Then, all 4 of us choose the Eton Mess for dessert. Strawberry sauce small bit of meringue and a bowl of very nice cream. And a qtr of a strawberry each. So all in all the evening meal was a 3 out of 10. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful lots of choice to full English, cereal, fruits and pastries. Drinks were available and a great choice available. I know it's hard to keep cooked food warm, which they did but the sausages were something like I'd give to 3Yr old. No meat.bacon cooked one side as obviously cooked in the oven but not turned over. It's a shame that the kitchen let the resort down. The golf course was very challenging and we all enjoyed even if we didnt all play as well as we'd like. The staff are all very helpful, the hotel was exceptionally clean and the room was very comfortable. We didn't use the gym or sauna area but they certainly looked good. I'm sure we will return and hopefully the kitchen will have been sorted

We booked this hotel so we could use the steam room and hot tub however both were out of order for 3 days which was the duration of our stay. The food in the hotel - the service was appauling I waited 1.5 hours for a vegan beef wellington to then be brought a caulifour risotto which I didnt order and was given the excuse that the chef didnt have enough time / it would take too long to make a vegan wellingotn- even though it was a sunday roast meal and they knew I didnt eat meat 4 hours before the meal and I was told originally I would have to wait 10 minutes for my wellington after queing up at the cavery- so all I had to eat were sides. The room was great- and hotel immaculate

3/21/23 This email is to compliment your staff, specifically, Kim at the front desk, Libby the bar tender and Andrew your head chef. We were unexpected guests at your property on Monday, 3/13/2023. We got stuck at Heathrow Airport because of weather. We had been on the go for more than 20+ hours while traveling from Santorini Greece back home to Boston USA via London. We were very hungry. There was nothing open at Heathrow to grab any food and we were not going to sleep in the airport. We began our search for a nearby hotel that was a brand name we knew, had good reviews and most importantly had 24-hour room service. It was after 10pm when we arrived at the Shepperton hotel. Sadly we learned upon arrival that the kitchen had closed at 10pm and that the hotel does not have 24-hours room service. (This is something that should be updated on your website.) However, there was a solution for us waiting in the wings. Unbeknownst to us Andrew was in the bar area and heard me sharing with Libby our story of exhaustion, frustration, and disappointment that we could not get any dinner. Andrew jumped into action, came over to me, was polite, kind and caring and said, “you have to eat.” He went into his kitchen team and asked that they cook us cheeseburgers and French fries. Libby provided us with a couple glasses of wine on the house and Kim at the front desk shared with us her personal mobile phone charger. You see, we had no luggage when we got to your hotel, so we did not have our converters for our US pronged Apple iPhones. The above and beyond service that Kim, Libby and Andrew provided was a game changer. This trio of employees exceeded our expectations and ensured they took care of our nutritional needs, comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Lovely hotel, right by London Road Train station and a short walk from the centre of town. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, the room was very cute and clean. The bed was very comfortable, had a great night's sleep. I would stay again if we're back in Guildford.

love it hotel, very convenient as there's any shop nearby just walk within few minutes. Breakfast is good and delicious and definite will choose this hotel again.

The doors are heavy and the steps are slippery under raining conditions. Also the network is very bad

We were visiting locally as my son is a chef and was working in the area. This was a really lovely location and a beautiful hotel, staff were very helpful and check-in was easy. We would recommend.
