Hotel Dengan spa di Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan

I only stayed for one night, but I had an amazing experience. My Japanese is very limited, but the owner and me communicated in a mix of English and Japanese and I felt very welcome. The small bus of the ryokan brought me together with other guests to a Kagura performance in the evening. It was one of the highlights of my trip! The location of the ryokan is very close to the shrine and the best place to stay for a cultural significant experience. I hope I can come back in the future!

The hotel is beautiful and it has great amenities (top restaurants including a high ranked steakhouse,, an amazing bakery, a gym, hot spring, laundry room and several stores including a kimono rental store. The hotel is located close to malls and the subway station. The staff are very kind and are always willing to assist even if they are not proficient in English . The breakfast buffet is also great and was included in my reservation. Visiting the steakhouse is a must , it is a tad pricey but worth the expenditure. Miyazaki is known for its beef and chicken. My only negative comment pertains to showers in the standard rooms (there are three kinds of rooms). The showers are very dated, have a weird smell and the shower heads are what you would normally find  in a bathroom from the 70s. The rooms are spacious and clean. However, if I had known the showers and tub were so old I would have upgraded to a deluxe room. Overall the hotel is great and it is well priced for its amenities.

This is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area. The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly. I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.

Miyazaki is a small city so getting around is not difficult if you stay in this hotel. There is a few local buses to the hotel from the JR Miyazaki station. Within walking distance of 10min you can find almost everything from shopping to izakaya. The best part I like is the sauna and hot spring. It has outdoor and indoor hot spring baths and sauna. Amenities in the public bath is complete with lotion, tonic, hair gel, shaving form and even towel is provided so you don't need to bring your own. Overall, a great hotel.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and it was perfect for a leisurely visit to Takachiho. It's just a few minutes' drive from Takachiho Gorge and Takachiho Shrine. If the weather's good, it's even close enough to walk! My husband really enjoyed it, even going for an early morning stroll through an empty Takachiho Gorge. In the evening, we went to see the Yokagura at Takachiho Shrine. The hotel kindly lent us cushions, which made watching the performance really comfortable. Our room was clean, and we had a lovely view of Takachiho's deep green scenery from the window. The food was delicious too!

Great view for the sea view room. Private onsen not very convenient if us a raining day cause need to walk out if the building. As we came back late a bit late and most local restaurant need to book in advance. The hotel is kind to help us to reserve a table for us. The restaurant actually was full but the room was big enough to share a table with the local.

The hotel staff were warm and polite, proactively asking if I needed help with my luggage. The room was spacious with a great sense of open space. The hot springs could use some improvement, as the experience was just average. Overall, it was a good stay.

Room size was just enough for 3 adults and 1 baby. It was good idea to book tatami as the baby can walk around in the room. The room was a bit old but it was fine and good to sleep and rest. The breakfast was good too, transitional Japanese style. The public hot spring was not good, quite old but clean notmal water. I would recommend you to buy some hot spring powder to make your own one hot spring bath in the room 😂

This is a newly built hotel, very clean and suitable for families. The room interior was also neat, and I appreciated having a small kitchenette where I could wash and eat some simple fruits. It's about a 10-minute walk to the downtown area, making it a good location for sightseeing. For breakfast, I ordered granola, but it was just regular cereal granola. There are no on-site parking facilities, so you have to park in a private lot behind the building.

家族旅行で行きました。 女性の大浴場が大通りを挟んだ道向かいの別館のため、いくのを躊躇いましたが、行ってみるとホテルの玄関とは別で、即浴室用の玄関になっており、夜暗いこともあり人目を気にすることなく部屋着で行けました。 アカスリや岩盤浴もリーズナブルで、次回はぜひ利用したいと思いました。
