Hotel Dengan Spa di Daerah Selatan, Sri Lanka

We visited during off-season, so there were very few other guests. The first morning we had an unusual ”set” breakfast, which was understandable as no buffet was offered when there were so few guests. Water pressure/temperature was unstable and there was a weird pulsating noise in the bathroom. On the positive side, the staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful. It's a lovely estate in absolute terms and stunning in relative terms. Very near the trendy fort area, which is worth a visit. Overall pleased.

實在是一言難盡的體驗，怪不得也沒多少國人入住。 酒店屬於本地的連鎖酒店，雖然在攜程上打的是5星級，酒店牆壁貼滿tripadvisor sgs等認證，加上是bawa設計的遺作 但入住後實在強差人意 入住的時候剛好碰上小高峯，同時間好幾團旅遊團辦理入住，前台顯得有點手忙腳亂。所幸的護照行李等也沒有弄亂，安全的拿到房卡。 酒店面積有點大，前台所在的大樓實屬5🌟，bawa的功力放在50年前絕對是劃時代的作品。 但一離開酒店主樓，就彷彿去了另外一個酒店，年代感撲面而來。尤其是中間那草坪看着像prison yard。草坪毫無修飾，坑坑窪窪 邊上有幾衹野狗在遊蕩。 進入房間後不過不失，但與主樓相比最多就值個3🌟但由於非常接近海邊故住在二樓地面也會無緣無故泛潮。雖然酒店在2019完成翻新但房間的設施也非常不合邏輯。 整個房間衹有一個空出來的電源插座，其餘的都是插上了燈 燒水壺 電視等設備。天花燈的開關非常有趣，左邊床的開關控制右邊床的燈。 入住的時候也帶娃去了小童樂園，就是國內商場那種室內小童樂園但裏面的維護實在不敢恭維，最可怕的是連電箱蓋子打開也沒人管 如果放在老美早就給人控告賠錢 餐飲方面不算貴但口味不在線。不過有一説一這邊的服務員比較local貼地，可能因為酒店大多數都是本地客多。整個酒店白人亞洲人住下來吃早飯碰到的10個都不到。跟之前住的anatara有明顯區別，那邊可能歐美客户多，員工都習慣了什麼都tiptiptiptip，bentota這邊的比較真誠

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

Our last stop in Sri Lanka, for 5 days, before going to Colombo. The hotel environment is really nice and the pool is big enough so our child got to swim nonstop. Nonetheless, the hotel room, even though it was spacious, had some defaults: the curtains didn't close completely so the blackout is just a waste. We stayed on the first floor, with garden view, so the bathroom was very big but there was no separation between the toilette and the shower which meant that every time we used it, there was water everywhere. We asked if we could change but apparently all the rooms on the 1st floor are like that and the 2nd floor rooms were more expensive. Moreover, the food was a bit of an issue for us: we were aware we were going off-season but the main restaurant was always closed for midday (for our entire stay) and the menu they offered on the restaurant above the lobby area was mainly fast food or very spicy food, which was problematic with our child. On that note, and if you don't like spicy food, make sure to ask a hundred times if it's not spicy. The night we arrived we ordered pizza and spaghetti bolognese - and asked for it not to be spicy - and both things were unetable. Who makes a super spicy spaghetti bolognese? The pizza was supposed to be a chicken one but it was also very spicy. We ended up eating some snacks, we brought with us, in the room. The breakfast buffet was good, specially if there were lots of guests, and the dinner was OK: again, they didn't have a lot of non spicy choices for chicken or fish. Everything is quite spicy even though they say it is not (I guess we just don't have the same level of tolerance for spicy food). Overall the hotel is not bad but it could be better, specially if it is rated as a 5 stars hotel. The room needs some renewal and the bathroom situation really needs to be addressed.

Bungalow was well appointed. Plug sockets where not all working. Side lamp was held together with sellotape and did not work. Staff were helpful and polite. There was some delay on check-in while the room was prepared. Queried were dealt with professionally. Short power cuts were experienced while in the restaurant and a candle lamp was provided, which the exploded on the table. No one was injured. Food was well presented and cooked fresh. Evening curry had one dish which proved unexpectedly hot. Overall an enjoyable stay in pleasant surroundings.

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer! Room was spacious and clean with an amazing view on the high floor. We had dinner buffet at Weligama Kitchen and food was great! Breakfast served there was delicious with great variety from Western , Asian, Indian but the Sri Lankan style breakfast was the best! Tide Bar is a great place to relax and have drinks with scrumptious snack too. We spent most of our time at the resort and it was very relaxing. The environment was suitable for couples and family at the same time. Lastly, service was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful. TK and Kalpani from Weligama kitchen always checking on us, Sachinthaka , Asanka and Dharmika from Tides always cheerful and greeting us when we head there for drinks. Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends visiting beautiful Sri Lanka!

Enjoyed a 3 night stay in this hotel recently. The entrance to the hotel is stunning, open planned with beautiful greenery. I checked in very early hours and was in my room quickly. Ocean View rooms offer lovely balconies with beautiful views. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and all the amenities you needed. The pool area is great with enough sun beds and direct access to a great beach. All the staff are fantastic. There is nothing I can fault about this hotel!

Проживали в отеле в июле 2024г., всё очень понравилось. Отзывчивый персонал, заселение и выезд из отеля не заняли много времени. На завтраках порадовало обилие фруктов, на ужин очень много сладостей. Меню завтрака и ужина разнообразное. Два пляжа, бассейн, ухоженная зеленая территория. Прекрасный, спокойный отдых! Номера действительно уставшие, но это не являлось проблемой. Нам всё очень понравилось!

Доступность к океану, просто выйдя из номера и. Сделав 10 шагов. Персонал весь начиная от директора , менеджеров , шеф повара и помощников весьма и весьма приятные люди. Которые готовы помочь в любое время суток. Номера очень приятные, чистые и со вкусом убраны. Эти кровати с великолепными матрасами и балдахинами мммм. Это что то. Чувствуешь себя принцессой. Еда отменная. Очень свежая и вкусная. Бассейн чистый. Подход к океану, безупречный. Песочек мелкий и такой блестящий словно из мелких бриллиантов. Блестит на солнышке. Ни каких проблем с проживанием не было. Все идеально. Цена . Качество. Комфорт.ребята, не ищите больше отелей. Берите и не переживайте не о чем. Мы за этот сезон посетили несколько. Этот идеальный! И для взрослых и для детей!. Благодарю всех за мой идеальный отдых в отеле мечты!

Family run hotel in a perfect location to explore Galle fort. The hosts were very attentive and gave us recommendations for the area. They helped with printing out documents which was greatly appreciated. Tea, Coffee and filtered water are provided along with a roof terrace. You can also buy gems and jewellery in the reception area. Thank you for hosting us!

Superbe quotité de Service. Asanga se plie en 4 pour vous , la nourriture est excellente , très bien cuisinée . Nous étions tout seul mais ils étaient malgré tout au petit soin. Les hôtels de bord de plage n’ont qu’à bien se tenir car vous allez payer pour la mer alors que cet boots se situe à 850 mètres de la mer et coûte 186 LKR en tuk Tuk . Chambre spacieuse et lumineuse . La piscine est bonne et très propre. Ne pas hésitez pour cet hôtel vraiment .

We found this hotel already on the spot when we lived in Sri Lanka for some time and were looking for new housing. What was important to us: cleanliness of the room, high floor and stable good internet. And all our requests were satisfied (even more). The owner turned out to be very friendly, tried to create the most comfortable living conditions for the guests: they provided us with an additional table and chair for work, and helped us rearrange the furniture to make it more comfortable for us. Another big advantage of the place is its close location to the ocean - you just had to cross the road, and here you are on the shore. The room we found was spacious and clean. A few days later, a couple of lizards started sharing it with us. It is difficult to single out any objective disadvantages - we only had positive impressions from our week-long stay at this hotel

Wake N Flow was amazing. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we felt at home. The staff was all so kind and courteous when we asked questions or needed help getting around the city. The property itself is currently under small renovation but everything was kept clean and out of the way. The location was ideal because it’s only a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to the grocery store.

Замечательное место! Очень добрый владелец и его жена, всегда стараются помочь, подсказать и сделать пребывание максимально приятным. Комнаты очень светлые, уютные, чистые. Есть кухня, холодильник. Приятный бонус - это то, что можно выйти на крышу, откуда открывается вид на океан и закаты. Остались здесь на месяц. Рекомендую

The first best quality I saw in the hotel was maintained very good customer service. They are ready to listen to the customer very well and fulfill the need quickly. The hotel has beautiful access .The view is such a amazing🔥... I just had an nice massage on there Ayurvedic spa which I would recommend everyone who visit here. The room are very clean and Luxury I just love it. I attended an event here and the food and drinks were very good and the atmosphere was very good. It is equipped with a hall with good space. This is good place where you plan to a company get together and all. Talking about food, you can get different varieties of food here. And it's taste amazing.. Overall, I can say that I got a very good experience. A hotel worth visiting.🙌

Preshandy the Spa therapist at W15 provides an exceptional massage which is deep, intuitive and healing. I would highly recommend a visit - she is gifted. And also all the staff there were nice and helpful, room is nice view is relaxing, the music is a little loud all the day but over all it’s nice thanks to shrouq and all the staff.

Großartiges Hotel mit schönem Garten und traumhaftem Zugang zum Meer. Strand war ganz ruhig gelegen und bietet großartigen Raum zum abschalten. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend und professionell, - nochmal danke an Nathas und Sanju! Die Pizza, die man in der Hauseigenen Pizzeria bekommen kann ist Weltklasse :) Sehr zu empfehlen.

The hotel is very new, everything is in a very good condition and we liked the concept that it’s not a standard Hilton. You can feel that the service routines are not at the level as it should be, but the staff were always friendly a helpful.

Pantai di hotel terlalu bergelombang untuk berenang dan hanya dapat berjemur di bawah sinar matahari. Tetapi tidak jauh, ada pantai awam lain yang berjarak lebih dari 100 meter, di mana anda boleh berenang. Terdapat banyak pilihan untuk sarapan dan makan malam bufet, dan rasanya enak. The hotel is not that simple to get to. Once you leave a nice hard top road, you have to drive down a long dirt road for about 10 mins to get to the hotel itself. That road can become a bit flooded if it rains hard - as it did on one day we were there - and that can prevent some guests getting in and out of the hotel. We’d had a lovely quiet evening meal one night and only found out afterwards that there had been a large group due in but couldn’t get down the road. Generally, it’s ‘normal’ vehicles and buses that bring people but, on occasion, a 4x4 would be better. On the days we arrived and left the roads were passable but you could see how they become easily impassable with rivulets running across it. The hotel though is lovely. The old one was washed away in the tsunami but the replacement looks strongly built, with its exposed concrete and stone construction there for all to see. That doesn’t make it cold and like a factory though. Far from it. It feels like it belongs where it is and its appropriate for a climate that varied between sun, wind and heavy rain whilst we were there. Whilst there are bedrooms on the ground floor (plus the gym and spa), most of the hotel’s common spaces are on the top floor, where reception, the bar and a la carte restaurant are. The main restaurant is one floor down, which has a nice view from the verandas around the outside. We had drinks in the bar on a couple of evenings, choosing to sit on the covered balcony as the indoor space - complete with pool table - whilst lovely was rather cold. The cocktails we had were really well made and come with our recommendation. We didn’t try the a la carte restaurant. Frankly, there was no need to from a food perspective. It was excellent all the time in the main one. The hotel tends to get large groups stay, who like to sit together (and create quite a noise), so the main restaurant can get quite noisy. The a la carte would offer a break from that as it’s in its own, quiet space. We genuinely couldn’t fault the food at the hotel. Breakfast always had a large choice ranging from cold offerings, cereal and salad, through to traditional Sri Lankan and hot western options. Tea and coffee was to order whilst you helped yourself to juice. The story was similar for evening meals too. If anything, evening meals catered less for western palettes and more for the Chinese guests that frequent the hotel. There were always lots of local Sri Lankan dishes too, which were simply delicious. All the hot food was outside the main restaurant space, under cover, with much of it being cooked in front of you. The cold starters and desserts were indoors. I have to say, one odd highlight was the soups. Every night there were 2 soups on offer and they were really good. I did have a tiny bug bear sometimes, which correlated with the busiest nights. That was the staff were a little too keen to clear plates. On occasion, you’d literally be chewing still and hadn’t quite put your cutlery dow

Perfect location, not so far to Yala National Park and with a nice lake view. Amazing swimming pool and English breakfast too. The rooms are a bit old and not renoviated but the staff there was very amazing and always helpful. Thank you

棒，很棒，超級棒 首先我定的可可尼套房，含2份三餐 酒店非常有神祕感 工作人員解釋一路，黑天后出房間一定要有工作人員帶領，因為酒店夜晚會出現小動物。我們就是在出房間是路上看到了豪豬。酒店裡還有一個口子，是24小時有專人把守，這個口子就是大象的門，2個月前，大象來過 每個大洞穴（大帳篷）後面其實還配備了一個小洞穴（小帳篷），如果您是一家四口，那麼後面的小洞穴正好派上用場，當然，如果衹是定了一個洞穴的話，到了要交485美金，含三餐。小帳篷還有一個露天的淋浴。特別建議，一定要含三餐。周邊出入不方便。酒店的餐食也很不錯，三餐都有不同的menu.保證你吃不膩，特別推薦午餐前餐的吞拿魚。以及晚餐前餐的smoked beef.tuna。關鍵是第二天一早的safari還是vip通道，不用門口排隊的。好的guide也很重要，這也要碰運氣，我們的guide一邊講解，還一邊翻書給我們看，解釋是什麼動物。我們偶遇了朦（身上長刺的老鼠）、豹、豹子速度很快，一定要仔細看低處、貓頭鷹、鱷魚、野豬、孔雀，老鷹，以及各種鳥、大象、鹿、蜥蜴

Stayed for four nights and had a fantastic time at the hotel. Great experience when checking in and were warmly greeted by the general manager and other staff. Lovely hotel on the beach front with lots of positives at the hotel. Large room with lovely shower and a nice balcony. Great breakfasand reasonable prices on drinks 🍻 and other meals that were available during our stay. Staff very friendly and many good restaurants within walking distance especially Top Secret restaurant. Superb facilities such as pool table 🎱 table tennis 🏓 darts 🎯 and table football ⚽️. Lovely swimming pool that was clean. Will definitely be back when in Tangalle in the future

Island Group had the pleasure of organizing our first leisure group of 2025, a group of 110 single travelers, for a 3-night stay from January 26 to 29, 2025, at Shangri-La Hambantota. We stayed for 3 nights at Uga Chena Huts. It was a great amount of time - and 4 nights might just be better to thoroughly enjoy the property as well as Yala. The room was such a great respite after the crazy Yala drives. So much space to sprawl out. Such a comfy bed and pillows. Great shower and pressure. The deck with pool was lovely and really enjoyed hearing the waves from the ocean and the birds. Only criticism is the toilet room - it needs a roof for privacy - no one wants to hear their loved one’s issues going on in there! The service was spot on! They worked so hard to make eveyone happy and cared for. A shout out to Janith our ranger - he was so knowledgeable and made the drives fun and tailored them to my needs after I said no more bumpy “main road” of Yala - so helpful! (And on that note make sure to book Spa appointments! Your sore body will thank you after those safari drives) Tea in the spa was excellent! The food - amazing! Always ready to cater to our needs when we needed to change it up because of preferences. I will remember the fluffy truffle eggs from breakfast forever!! Best breakfasts I’ve ever had. And the quantity of food - you will never go hungry - ever! I had to start just having soup for lunch to save room for Safari snacks which is actually just lunch to go - and so good to! I can’t say enough or praise the property and people enough - wonderful in every sense. Oh and an elephant even made a visit to the car park where you board the safari vehicles as well as wild boar to top it all off! Thanks so much Uga Chena Huts!!
