Hotel is located in an excellent location, close to the tourist information center, the Mount Askla and the ferry terminals. The airport bus from the airport stop directly in front of the hotel, so will be very convenient for travelers arriving /departing by air. There are also many restaurants and a small shopping mall nearby. Was assigned a room facing west, so could have a great view of the sunset from the room.

We were given a handicap room without me asking for it. Staying in that room for 3 nights was not comfortable at all since the bathroom zinc is very low and it is not very friendly for a guy like me with a lower back problem. After asking the reception for a swap, I was told that there are no other rooms available. It was OK for the first night, but I never received any offer the next day. After sending an email to the support desk, I was expecting an answer. After staying 3 nights and with a very bad experience, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast also was not that excellent anymore compared to our previous stays. Being a regular customer and a member of the Scandic Friends Membership Club, I was expecting a better treatment.

Super 2 night stay. Great location above the town with a very attentive host who loaned us a map, which helped with a very nice walk to a nearby waterfall. There’s also a path almost straight down from the accommodation into the town, that avoids the twisty road. The room was lovely and with relaxing chairs to make it a very comfortable stay if we just wanted to chill. The residents’ kitchen is also a very good provision; we self catered both nights quite unexpectedly on the basis of it. Breakfast is taken at the next door hotel and is very good. All in all a super experience.

We stayed one nigth at The hotel on a sunday and it was quiet, The front desk area was very nice and had a Great feel. Calm colores and lots of seating. The restaurant was closed but the front desk staff was very helpful suggesting places to eat and alternatives they could offer as well. Outside the restaurant there is a cosy area where you can see the sunset. The breakfast is very good with a lot of options for allergies. And the staff kept it very nice, clean and stocked. The hallways look old but the room vas a pleasant surprise. Nice colors and mostly very clean. The only place they could do better on cleaning was under the bed as it was extremely dusty. Comfortable seating for both in the room and a great bed. The hotel is in the city center close to everything and also a short walk from a beautiful view at the viewpoint. All in all a great stay at this hotel and I would gladly come back and recommend it!

Got the master suite here for one night. Check in was easy and the receptionist was helpful. We got the suite on the 13th floor. The room itself was spacious with multiple rooms separated by a door, and a balcony to see over the landscape and Ocean. While the room had plenty of space, multiple things were not up to the standard I expect for a master suite. First of all there were technically two bathrooms in the room, but both were not especially big and you do not have much room in either, as well as the shower being built into the tub, which is not something I like at all. The toilet seat in the main bathroom was also very loose so it went to either side as you tried sitting down quite easily. The TV also seemed like a big afterthought, as it was just placed somewhat randomly close ish to the couch, and it being far smaller than many I've had in standard rooms in other hotels in the past. I expected more on that front with this being their premier room type. The bed and everything else was comfy and fine, with no clear issues outside the prior ones mentioned. The breakfast was also fine and the 2nd floor restaurant space was spacious. The receptionist was also kind enough to pour me a beer even though the bartender was sick the night of my arrival. All in all though I cannot give too high marks given the status of what by all accounts is their premier and top tier room type at the hotel. Nonetheless I think most will have a good stay here.

We arrived on a Wednesday, though our reservation was for Saturday. A cheerful receptionist welcomed us, and we were thrilled to find ourselves in a newly renovated cabin with a fantastic sea view. Our dining experience at the Flo restaurant, which had a great reputation, exceeded our expectations. We opted for a four-course meal: We looked forward to test the restaurant uses local ingredients from the sea, shore, agriculture, forest, and mountains. First Course: Juicy fried cuttelfish with olive puree. Second Course: A green flavor-bomb pea soup with apple syrup, sourced from the chef’s own apple farm. Main Course: Baked halibut with exquisite garnish and sauce. Dessert: Crème brûlée with forest berries at the bottom. The wine cellar and cocktail bar offered an impressive selection. For our next meal, we enjoyed smoked whiskey salmon rolls, Skagen salad, duck breast with exciting garnishes, and a delicious brownie cake. Other dishes included cuttlefish brandade, chicken salad, and mascarpone cream with sorbet and chocolate ice cream, all prepared by the talented head chef, Henrik. The top-quality tableware and professional service further enhanced our experience. Breakfast featured an array of local produce, reflecting the emphasis on local ingredients throughout our stay. You also have the opportunity to fish yourself or join a fisherman out on the lake. We got 50 kg in 4 hours. 10 kg large cod, 8 kg long and everything else we wanted.
