"Wonderful stay! Everyone was really kind, organized both our airport pickup and the drop off back to the city for free (which we did not expect). And most importantly, spent time to design a one day itinerary for us so we could see the best parts of the park with limited time. The place is only a 5-10 minute walk to the entrance which was awesome!
They also kindly upgraded us to the 360 degree view room, which was incredible. I posted the view from the terrace, really lovely to wake up to this view every morning.
The one thing I would say is bring an eye mask. With all the lovely big windows it does get pretty bright early in the morning. It didn't bother us since we had to wake up early to visit the park.
Overall I'd say it was perfect and pretty much everything we could've wanted"

"We had a very nice stay here. The hotel amenities are made for convenience and absolute comfort, with heated toilet, high tech shower, and smart room. Everything is clean. The owners are all accommodating and even prepared meals for us, the Tujia cured pork was soooo delicious! The location is pretty far from the center but it’s a good spot to enjoy nature. It’s very serene and peaceful. If you’re going to ZJJ national park, it’s nice going in the early morning through the south gate and it’ll almost feel like you have the entire golden whipstream trail for yourself. Most tourists enter from the east gate and the experience feels from there feels overly crowded."

The staff's English is a chalenge, but they are sweet, very polite and readily using translator, so we always found the answers to our questions.

KKatiTranWe had a wonderful stay here as a family of four and were genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The room was incredibly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable throughout our stay.
What impressed us the most was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Every team member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They even arranged a complimentary airport pickup for us, which made our arrival very smooth and stress-free.
The staff also helped us a lot with planning our visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. They assisted us with organizing our itinerary, making reservations, and answering all of our questions immediately whenever we needed support. It has been a long time since we experienced such genuine hospitality and kindness.
Although our first room had a few minor issues, the staff responded immediately and helped us without hesitation by arranging a new room for us right away. During our departure, we even noticed that the original room was already being renovated and the issues were being fixed, which really showed us how much the hotel cares about maintaining high standards and listening to guest feedback.
Another highlight was the beautiful rooftop terrace with a wonderful view over the city. The hotel location is also excellent, with major attractions and important sights reachable within just a few minutes on foot. The free laundry service was also a very convenient bonus during our trip.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Zhangjiajie. We would also like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for excellent service, comfort, and exceptional hospitality.

GGuest UserHad a great stay here at Zhangjiajie Four season Riverside resort hotel beside Baofeng Lake scenic area only 6min drive from east gate of Wulingyuan national park (avatar mountains) 40min drive either Tianmen Mountain (heaven’s cave) and in opposite direction Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (Glass bridge and zip wire and bungy jump) so a great centre point to stay, nice spacious room and very clean and also used the free laundry facilities, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and also for me just at entrance to hotel an EXCELLENT massage room with lovely lady’s doing an amazing job also got ears cleaned here fabulous

The location was exactly as described—peacefully situated near the forest, offering a relaxing and natural setting.
One area for improvement would be the availability of more vegetarian-friendly food options.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely book here again when revisiting the area.

AAnonymous UserIf I had to pick one impressive facility at this hotel, it would definitely be the tea room. The ambiance is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. As a tea lover, this was a huge bonus! The overall decor of the tea room is quite nice, with everything you need: tea tables, full sets of tea ware, clean and sparkling teacups, and complete hot water facilities. It's ideal for a quiet solo tea session or chatting with friends. The shelves nearby are filled with various teas and decorative items, and the environment is wonderfully quiet and serene. After a tiring journey, brewing a pot of tea here, slowly sipping it, and reading a book instantly melts away travel fatigue. The space is tidy and clean, and the amenities are thoughtfully provided. Guests can enjoy it for free, making it suitable for business discussions or a casual break. The attention to detail really elevates the stay. I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserI brought my parents to Zhangjiajie for the May Day holiday and after some consideration, we chose Shawn. The experience was excellent.
The location is great – convenient for dining and shopping, yet away from the bustling city center. There's a stream behind the hotel, and you can see Tianmen Mountain in the distance, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the activity.
The hotel environment is lovely, with a Shawn-themed design and stylish decor. It's well-equipped with a gym, family-friendly facilities, a bar, and dining options.
Upon check-in, we received a free room upgrade. The room was clean, the bedding spotless, and the orthopedic mattress was incredibly comfortable. We slept very well after two days of exploring Zhangjiajie.
The butler service was exceptional. The manager, front desk, housekeeping, and engineering staff provided one-on-one service through a group chat, attending to every request promptly without being intrusive. It was a fantastic experience.

GGuest UserThe room is fully smart, with an automatic toilet and many functions that offer a great experience. They even thoughtfully prepared fruit, and the hairdryer provided was a Dyson. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a relaxing view of the mountain scenery. Breakfast was very rich, and the riverside scenery is beautiful, with butterflies fluttering in the garden – it's truly stunning! The butler was very attentive, providing us with a route that helped us avoid any pitfalls, and offering pick-up and drop-off services. They were incredibly responsive to all our requests!
They were also very receptive to our suggestions!

GGuest UserThe hotel's overall environment is excellent, and the view from the window is absolutely stunning, making for a very comfortable stay. Even though we had already purchased tickets, the front desk attendant was incredibly enthusiastic and helped us plan our itinerary, which was very thoughtful. Our travel arrangements were hassle-free and convenient. All the staff were warm and friendly, and the service was meticulous and attentive. Our entire stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it!

MM2hqaslas****The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is the breathtaking mountain view directly in front of it. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped with all necessary facilities, and had plenty of hot water, meeting all basic accommodation needs. The owner was very hospitable and even helped us plan a great itinerary for visiting the Forest Park. Its location near Wulingyuan makes it convenient to get to the Forest Park entrance, making it an ideal place to stay when exploring Zhangjiajie.
