Kanishka provided us with the ideal holiday in Bali! It is centrally located in Seminyak. Just walk out the door and there are all the shops, restaurants and facilities. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Our room came with a private pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Kanishka!

I can’t speak more highly of this excellent resort. Yes, it is away from the now very busy Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, etc and thats great. Less traffic and less noise! Just get a driver/taxi to visit other areas, they are still very reasonably priced (by Aussie standards). The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pools sparkling and our villa very comfortable and private, also it’s own plunge pool…..very refreshing in a hot climate. We ate very well from the extensive buffet breakfast (included in our package), the a la carte lunch menu (small meal for us after a hearty breakfast) and the dinners when we ate in. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. I would like to give my greatest praise, and thanks, to the staff. I think we pretty much met them all as it’s not a huge resort. Without exception they were friendly, smiling, helpful, unobtrusive and a delight to spend time with. This was not our first trip to Bali, but probably the most memorable for all the right reasons. One aspect that should be addressed though is the lack of a full length mirror in the villa. A negative for my wife and adult daughters. Also I think 2 sets of keys should be provided in a 2 bedroom villa when 4 adults are staying. This would make the daily comings and goings easier

We stayed at the Jumeirah as the last leg of our honeymoon following 5 nights at the Capella and 5 nights at the Four Seasons. These were activity based stats and Jumeirah at Uluwatu was the relax and recharge around the pool and beach. The hotel design and decor is stunning and our villa was incredible. Can’t fault it. However, amenities and inconsistent service really lets this hotel down. The good stuff: - e-butler service via WhatsApp was brilliant. In- room dining, great! -Marcel on concierge went above and beyond, he couldn’t do more for us! - Our in-room servicing team were super and made us towel animals everyday leaving us notes during our stay which was lovely. The not so good stuff: - Food was nice, but just ok. Poached eggs on toast… toast was burnt everyday and poached eggs watery. Omelette came out with whipped egg whites like you’d make in a pudding (very strange) and with alternative ingredients from your original order if they had run out of something. But, without consulting you. I was intolerant to one of the substituted ingredients. Similarly, I ordered a non alcoholic cocktail and they made it alcoholic. Little things like this can’t happen. - Unorganised and overly attentive service in restaurants. You have about 5 people waiting your table so you can’t enjoy your breakfast/ lunch or dinner without constantly being interrupted being asked the same question. You feel watched and pounced on during the meal so you can’t actually relax. Before you have finished your last mouthful and putting your cutlery down they are already whipping away your plate even if others at the table are still eating or you are still chewing your last mouthful of food. - Slow service in both restaurants and pool bar. Whilst quick to take your order and hovering, it took a minimum of 15mins to deliver your drinks with food sometimes beating your drinks to the table. If you’d ordered a frozen drink it had basically melted before it reached your table. Or they would deliver half your order and the rest would follow 10mins later so you were always chasing up food and drink and wondering if they got your order wrong. - We ordered a tuna salad and the salad came without the Tuna. The Tuna was then delivered separately 10mins later… - ordered an omelette and the toast came out 10mins before. - It doesn’t cater for western clients. Both how they execute basic western dishes and more broadly on culture. As a female, I was often ignored and only my husband was addressed. They would never hand me the bill, this always was passed to my husband, and they only ever asked him questions directly and ignored me entirely which I found rude and insulting. Classic western food on their menu was often excited on poorly. - No atmosphere around the pool. Play some soft background music. We found guests playing music themselves via their phone. We didn’t overly mind this but it shows they were all feeling the same and I wouldn’t expect at a 5* hotel to have peopl

The staff and Location make this joint. The rooms are very good, large and well maintained, The Pool Villas are private and whilst at the moment they have some construction going on, you honestly would not know. The staff will run you into Lovina beach proper every day, and quite a few venues will come and pick you up and drop you back. The only downside to this place is the food. They need to get back to basic and serve the wonderful dishes that people travel to Bali for, forget the westernized menus of Burgers and Ribs etc. Serve a more traditional menu, Breakfast was pretty good. But the restaurant was the only reason this place did not get 5 stars. The staff are the best asset this place has.. a very relaxing time in Lovina, fix the Restaurant and you have a 5 star property in every way. Lovina is very laid back, no yells of ”transport” or ”taxi” no hassling from eager vendors, some polite questions as you walk past an outlet, nothing more.. A great spot for a chill out.

Great location near the airport. This stay hotel is new 2024 built. Staff friendly and helpful. Not much room for parking car. But if you have scooter no problem to park. Lacks refrigerator and complimentary tea/coffee but room has kettle. Would be great place for large groups and book out whole hotel as has 8 rooms. Rooms are spacious. Pool is great. Would stay here again. 👍

Forgot to take photos of the place except one on the cute animals they folded using towels. But it is what it looks in the pictures. Place is nice and clean. Bed is comfortable and airconditioning strong. Standard toiletries are provided and shower water pressure is strong. We didn't use the bath tub thou. Well, we have a private pool to dip into so see no need for a bath. Haha.. Pool is clean and of good depth and size to have a little swim. Not serious exercise kind of swim thou. Location is near Ubud Art Market and they helped with scooter rental. Grab is just as convenient and cheap. Can walk if you want but I find Ubud paths are not padestrian friendly. So grab or scooter all the way for us. Villa staff was friendly n they are accommodating. We came back late from watching sunrise n they prepared late breakfast for us. Food was nice too. We will definitely consider this place when we are coming back to Ubud.

This place is gorgeous! Have you Watch es the Lord of the Rings? It is like Lothien and Rivendel were blended. The food is very good and they offer a great variety. There are a couple of free activities like Morning Yoga and balenese offerings. The staff is fantastic and the Spa is extremely good. You may think IT is expensive, but IT is worth every dime!

Stayed at Sanur Art Villa several time at different room type. The place is secluded and definitely need google maps to find it. :-) Studio room, similar to regular hotel room with backdoor to swimming pool. The room downtairs is better then the upper floor. 1 of the room was having problem with the leaking plumbing, so there was a pond of water in the bathroom. I called the maintenance and still didnt solve the problem. This is the upper room. 1 bed room Villa with private pool is nice. Secluded and has its own gate. Dining and living room are at the lower floor and 2nd floor is all the room. It was clean, with kitchen area and dining room enough for family of 4. The Bedroom and bathroom upstairs was also good and clean, nice clothes hanger in the spacious bathroom. I like this room better than the studio. 2 bed room villa is the similar condition with the 1 bedroom. Great for family stay. Overall, it was a good experience, and avoid the studio room on 2nd floor if you can. Price wise is worth it for regular stay. They also have monthly rate during pandemic. I would recommend traveler who wants privacy and nice relaxing time at private pool.

We have recently returned from a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable 10 night vacation at Vivara Private Pool Villas & Spa Retreat in Jimbaran, Bali. Our aim was to get away from our busy life and take a complete break. The resort comprises 48 beautiful, private, self-contained pool villas, most of which are one or two-bedroom. Each villa is like your own home-away-from home, with pool decking and lounges, an alfresco kitchen bungalow (with a daily replenishment of non-alcoholic drinks in the mini bar), outdoor rain shower and bathroom, and a spacious bedroom with lounge area. It is clear that the resort aims to make every guest’s experience as comfortable as possible. As we were so comfortable in our villa, we were determined not to become complete ‘holiday recluses’ and, despite room service being the option for many of the guests, we always walked to the poolside restaurant for breakfast each morning, afternoon tea every second day, before feasting on a fabulous evening dining experience on alternate evenings. Needless to say, we did not leave Vivara hungry! The resort is like a small community, and staff are more than happy to transport you to and from your villa using golf buggies, or you can take advantage of the communal bikes and scooters and ride around the resort pathways. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle service to and from Jimbaran Beach is available, and times are customised to guests, creating a very personalised and welcome service. Being a spa retreat, we indulged in five deep tissue massages each, and they were a highlight of our stay. The private bungalows are built in a traditional Balinese style, are quiet and calming, and the masseuses provided a comfortable, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Thank you, so much. The heart of the resort, though, is the staff. They were all, without exception, incredibly friendly, helpful, and always keen to converse and learn about their guests, or share their insights into Bali. We cannot recommend the Vivara staff highly enough. Thank you, Keke, and all your staff, for making our stay so enjoyable. We loved being immersed in the Balinese style of the resort, and Vivara did not disappoint as the ideal place for us to unwind and relax.
