This review has some positives which should not be ignored, but the negatives were the things that swayed me to not return to Villa Jerami. When the Taxi turned into the road of the Villa, I felt like I was arriving into a ghetto. A very derelict area that seems to be an alley at the back of some businesses with lots of rubbish in and out of bins at the sides of the road. I was quite nervous about the decision to stay at Villa Jerami. Walking into the reception area did not raise my hopes of a great stay at these villas as the reception is very basic and doesn’t provide a positive or welcoming experience. I had to sign a paper about being charged for knowingly or unknowingly damaging the property and then was warned that my bag could be snatched and I should keep a hold of it and be careful which raised my suspicions that the villa was in an unsafe area. My hopes of enjoying these villas diminished completely at this point. We were then escorted to our villa for a tour and when the entrance gate was unlocked I was pleasantly surprised by a small swimming pool and an outdoor kitchen dining and sitting area that was very nice at first glance. On opening the villa, and stepping inside, it didn’t look too bad, although I did get a whiff of dampness. When we went into the bathroom my feelings of disappointment returned as it was very dated and had stained areas and patches of mould. The bathroom is most important to me and I felt like it wasn’t clean because of the way it looked. The toilet seat was wobbly and the water was not draining from the basin and shower very well, but once reported this was rectified very quickly. We went to the restaurant to see if we could get some food as it was late. We quickly changed our minds as it looked like the staff had packed up for the night and were being disturbed. The following morning we went for breakfast which was included daily. We were given a sheet of paper that was a list of available food and told we could choose one item from each row. One item was omelet or eggs or Potato Rosti. If you wanted bacon, it could only be chosen with 5 specific menu items (so if I wanted a potato rosti and bacon this wasn’t allowed). We only had breakfast once and didn’t like it so didn’t return to the restaurant. The positives of Villa Jerami are that they clean your Villa every day and give you clean linen and towels. The rooms are clean and welcoming. The swimming pool and outside area is clean and well maintained. All the staff are friendly, but the best staff member that this resort has is Oka, he was amazing, he went above and beyond to try and make our stay amazing right up to arranging for us to be able to shower when our check out was midday but flight was at 11pm. If the front of the resort wasn’t is such a bad position and the rooms and especially bathrooms had a bit of a revamp, this would be an amazing place to stay.
Manca Villa Canggu by iNi Vie Hospitality - A Fine Romantic Experience

The male receptionist was very friendly, chatty and helpful. The accommodation is great for a couple for a short term stay as it is quite small with the bedroom space. I enjoyed the outdoor setting with a hammock, pool, bathtub and a functional kitchen with filtered water (hot and cold). What could have been improved is the cleanliness of the swimming pool as there were long black hair and the pool looks dirty, the hot water didn't work temporarily but they attended to get it fixed which is a good thing and the breakfast request for vegan wasn't delivered the way I requested and they cooked eggs and gave croissants. I think English isn't so great with the staff for this breakfast request to be executed well and the waiter forgot to bring a juice but was able to provide when I contacted reception that a juice was missing. Attention to detail can be improved here. Location is great because it's away from the main road and walking distance to eateries and shops.

Stayed 4 nights at end June 2022. Paid $336aud per night for an Ibah suite. We are a couple with a very active 2 year old boy and I was 6.5months pregnant. All of this is important to our review! Stunning setting, incredible jungle and peaceful but next to town. Incredible balcony views. The grounds are incredible, such a huge area to maintain. Lovely friendly staff, yummy breakfasts. The resort is sadly still struggling after covid, but reduced rates for rooms help. We felt what we paid per night was still a lot. Room needed some love generally, with several minor complaints which can be expected when they have only just reopened after many months of closure. Any more significant ones (e.g. toilet leaked, sink blocked up, and blind cords broke were all fixed very quickly upon request). Wish they'd been clearer about the services yet to resume when we booked so we could've set our expectations. The shuttle in and out of town was not yet back on, which wouldn't have been a problem without a toddler and being pregnant. Afternoon tea was not on, restaurant was not back open other than breakfast. Had to choose brekky options and timing the night before which was a bit annoying- on holiday not wanting to plan, and 2 year olds often have different wake up ideas day to day! Main thing that was hard was the unsuitability for toddlers. Sorry Warwick Ibah, but it's just not great for young kids. We are not super precious and rented a villa with a pool elsewhere we loved, but the hazards at Warwick Ibah were on a whole new level! Slippy pathways, big drop offs on balconies with low walls, ability to lock themselves in bathrooms, steep steps, steps at door thresholds, couches so high that falling off would result in injury, etc. It was exhausting not being able to look away for 30 seconds. If we were without our toddler I'm sure it would've felt very different though, I just want to share this for other parents of active toddlers. Finally, rooms are all very bespoke. Don't expect the room to look exactly like the photos from the booking page, each has it's own unique character. The hotel staff kindly moved us when we expressed our disappointment in the room we were first given in comparison to the photos we expected. In summary, either get a bargain room or check what services are yet to start; and don't take an active toddler. I really wish Warwick Ibah all the best in recovering from covid times- the wonderful staff and incredible property deserve it!

We recently stayed for two nights at Berry Amour Romantic Villas in Bali for our honeymoon, and the experience was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly pampered. A personalized welcome video, thoughtfully displayed on our room’s TV, greeted us upon arrival, setting the tone for the romantic and attentive service we received throughout our stay. The villa itself was a dream—spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with a private pool. The romantic decor and serene ambiance made it the perfect retreat for couples. One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying floating breakfasts in our private pool for two days. The presentation was stunning, and the food was fresh and delicious—a delightful way to start each morning. We also indulged in a hot stone couple’s massage at the villa, which was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The therapists were skilled, and the experience left us feeling completely refreshed. The staff were attentive, warm, and always eager to make our stay as special as possible. The peaceful location provided an ideal escape while still being conveniently close to Seminyak’s attractions. Berry Amour Romantic Villas truly exceeded our expectations. If you’re planning a honeymoon or a romantic getaway, this is the perfect destination. Thank you to the entire team for creating such unforgettable memories for us!

exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, from the male staff member who introduced us to our room, to the two lovely ladies at the reception who greeted us with sweet and warm voices during check-out. The room itself was perfect, with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of cleanliness. The beautiful pool added to the overall ambiance of relaxation and luxury. The breakfast options were delicious and satisfying, setting us up for a great start to each day.

Overall, it was a good experience staying at The Miracle Villas Nusa Dua . Here's a breakdown of my experience: Positives: Spacious and Clean Villas: The villas were roomy and well-maintained, with plenty of living space and comfortable bedrooms. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Private Pool: The private pool was a major highlight of the trip! It was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tropical weather. Friendly Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always available to answer questions and assist with anything we needed. They have a strong network to assist visitors and went out of their way to ensure guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay in Bali. Breakfast included: The breakfast was okay, but the menu could have been more diverse, especially for guests staying for a longer period. The Location: The location was peaceful and perfect for relaxation. Areas for Improvement: Limited Dining Options: While breakfast was ok, the room service had a limited menu for other meals. We had similar menu for breakfast(partly because of halal) through out our stay there.It would have been better to have more dining options especially for those who stays longer. Halal Food: It is extremely important that 'Halal' food is served to Muslim visitors. We had an incident during our stay where bacon was served even after reminding the staff of our request upon checking in. Minor Maintenance Issues: We encountered a couple of minor maintenance issues in the villa, such as a flickering light. Although the staff promptly addressed these issues, it would be ideal to have more thorough preventative maintenance to avoid such inconveniences. Insect Issue: We experienced an issue during our visit with the ”ulat seribu kaki” season, where the pools and ground floors were frequented by these insects. In Conclusion: I had a great experience at The Miracle Villas Nusa Dua. The villas were spacious and clean, and the private pools were a great addition. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the relaxing atmosphere and made my stay truly memorable. However, the ‘bacon incident’ made us a bit upset and cautious about the food being served. I hope that the management takes this issue seriously, especially for future Muslim guests. Thank you.

Nunamkhalu private Villa and Spa located in Uluwatu Bali is a nice place Pros. -They have good and modern facilities. The villa is really huge perfect for honeymooners and celebration. +points really very quiet and relaxing place. That Private pool is really relaxing too. Stayed here for 2 nights 3 days. Clean room. Fully equipt with spa for body massage. Inhouse Restaurant (9/10). Generous serving for breakfast. Staff are kind Cons- was told to order from inhouse restaurant tried almost all menu. TV not working well. No outside food delivery allowed (grab). Booked in advance with request thats is honeymoon & my wife birthday, no preparation in the room or even a proper candle. In general we will still plan to come back and book in this place.

Suasana yang subur dan tenang di sekitar resort benar-benar membuatkan kami berasa seperti berada di syurga kecil kami sendiri. Dari segi lokasi, Astera Resort adalah ideal, berhampiran dengan semua yang anda ingin lihat dan lakukan di Canggu sambil mengekalkan suasana yang damai. Kakitangan bekerja di atas dan di luar untuk memastikan kami mendapat pengalaman yang tidak dapat dilupakan, menawarkan cadangan, mengatur pengangkutan dan sentiasa menyambut kami dengan senyuman. Secara keseluruhannya, Astera Resort Canggu adalah percutian yang sempurna, dan kami tidak sabar untuk kembali! Booked Treehouse B for 5 nights but switched to Treehouse A mid-way so will review both. All pics are of treehouse A. TREEHOUSE B (COCOS NUCIFERA) Semi-outdoor concept which is not accurately represented in the photos. In essence, everything but the bedroom is outdoors. Which also means that you are exposed to all possible bugs whenever you aren’t in the bedroom. 🫨 There are three levels; the floor with the main entrance is also where the bathroom is, further up is the kitchen/dining + wardrobe area and further up is a sofa + the bedroom. Note that the stairs are open so there is a possibility of dropping things or people peeping through the gaps. 👀 They really tried to make it like a treehouse by using wooden slats for everything but unfortunately did not sufficiently waterproof the wooden slats enough so there was water damage and rot already present despite this only opening this year. We saw this in both treehouses A and B. Ended moving to treehouse A when we woke to loud construction on our second morning there. TREEHOUSE A (PLUMERIA) This one is enclosed so there is at least some respite from bugs but somehow there were always at least two mosquitoes at any given time which we were either battling or getting bitten by. The lizards also found their way into this one and left their giant turds around. Some places where we found said giant turds: next to my pillow and on the tissue box that we put on the table. 🤢 The bed is also set above ground and only accessible by ladder (!!!) which I understand it supposed to evoke treehouse vibes but is SO dangerous even for adults, especially when you need to climb down half-asleep to go to the toilet. Water damage/wood rot was also visible in the bathroom area for this one but at least the hot water was more consistent than treehouse B, which seemed to run out in less than a minute. Only upside is that staff is quite responsive and flexible in allowing us to change treehouses. — Overall, Grün is good for a one to two night stay if you’re seeking a more novel outdoor accommodation experience, but I cannot recommend this for longer stays, nor families with young children or the elderly. And would I return? Likely not.
