Guest UserSpacious and clean rooms. It is the closest hotel to the airport but is still 1.5-2km or a 30min walk from the airport. During reception hours from 7am to 11pm, you can book a hotel shuttle for AUD10. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and gave useful tips on parking and enjoying the sights in Hobart and around Tasmania. There is a AUD103 deposit that will be refunded to your card after check out.

Guest UserThe room wasn't very big, and since I booked only a week in advance, the price was a bit higher than expected. Overall, the hygiene was acceptable, although there were hairs on the bed and in the bathroom when I checked in. The hotel staff helped us resolve that. I forgot to take photos of the room, but you can refer to the hotel's pictures and other reviews; they're all pretty similar. It's worth noting that international hotels aren't as accommodating as domestic ones when it comes to upgrades. Here, you'd either need to be a high-tier member or pay for a higher room category to get an upgrade.
Each day, the room is stocked with two bottles of drinking water, a carton of milk, and the usual capsule coffee and tea bags – pretty standard. However, I don't understand why housekeeping moved my belongings. Several times, I returned to find my neck pillow on the floor, clothes I'd hung on the hanger had been moved, and my slippers were in a different spot. While it's not a major issue, it was a bit annoying for someone with OCD. I hope the hotel can pay attention to this aspect.
I've included a few breakfast photos. On a side note, the fillet steak at the downstairs restaurant was very tender and worth trying.

Catherine EeveeMy stay at Wrest Point in Hobart was absolutely wonderful! The hotel is ideally located in Sandy Bay, right by the waterfront. The room was spacious and clean with excellent natural light, and the stunning bay and mountain views from the window were truly refreshing. The facilities are well-maintained and comprehensive, and the free parking is a huge plus for those traveling by car. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay overall. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend it!

Breakfast at the Bay Restaurant was a highlight, with fresh Tasmanian produce, delicious hot options, and that unbeatable relaxed vibe. It’s an ideal base for exploring Wineglass Bay trails without needing to rush. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return.

Guest UserThe hotel service was excellent, the location was perfect, and the parking was very convenient. The room was very stylish, with automatic curtains and many thoughtful features that made the stay very comfortable. The restaurant was also very good. Overall, it was a wonderful experience

Guest UserFairly decent for a budget traveller but the place is a bit dated and could do with some reno. The bathrooms are tiny and the faucets are leaky (imagine sleeping through the night with the sound of dripping water).

The owner was very concise and straight to the point, highlighting all the key information. The hotel is located near the market and has its own backyard that can fit about ten cars. Coles and McDonald's are a twenty-minute walk away, and there's a Chinese restaurant right across the street. It's also very close to the port.

Anonymous UserThis hotel is the closest one to Cradle Mountain, with several hiking trails directly accessible from the property, ranging from 10 minutes to three-day treks. The walk-in bar/restaurant is excellent; we tried the pizza and steak over two days, both of which were delicious, and the beer was good too. My favorite feature was definitely the gas fireplace in the room. We encountered rain at Cradle Mountain, and spending an evening by the fireplace completely dried our clothes.

The hotel is located in the city centre. Parking costs about AUD 40+ per day. Overall it was okay. We stayed three nights with breakfast included. The breakfast was fine, but one staff member in the restaurant was extremely impolite and unprofessional. It left a bad impression — and I’m not sure whether her behaviour was linked to us being Asian, though she herself appeared to be Asian.
