”My early check-in was handled smoothly by the lobby staff, who were consistently cheerful and helpful. Having stayed here five times, I can confidently say the service is superb. A major highlight is the breakfast, which I find exceptional because of the delicious local food options. Furthermore, the staff makes arranging Grab taxis very convenient. I consider this, overall, to be the best hotel experience in Yangon.”

This is perhaps one of few premium hotels that are still considerate to smoking patrons and offer smoking rooms which is why I selected it. My room was on the 3rd floor, with direct access to the pool. The room was clean, spacious and modestly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, delivering wide assortment and variety. There is a night club on site, however closed with anticipated opening from April 2026. The gym is clean and fully equipped. Look forward to staying here again.

Room is huge, but aircon is not strong enough to get the whole room cold. So its hard to sleep during hot season. Bed is nice and restaurant is decent too.

The service is good. They even pack breakfast to take it with you if you are leaving early morning. You can equest it on the night before your checkout morning. Good food and so many options to choose. For cleanliness, I would say they could put more effort into the cafeteria area at level 5. I killed one small cockroach 🪳 in the bathroom on the day of our arrival. This is nothing serious but I should mention it so that they could take good care of it for next customers who don't like any insects.

It is not quite easy to put a fair review for this hotel. At a very first glance, with the ongoing political unrest in Myanmar, the effort to reopen the hotel and rehire all the staff deserve a great compliment. Nonetheless, the shortfall in service and amenities should not be compromised with the situation and some area such as cleanliness should not fall short especially when the hotel priced themselves at the highest in the city. The management should really consider to focus on guests service and sincere hospitality and that they can have customers who are willing to pay at any price rather that worked any way possible to cut the cost and let the staff to deal with insufficient amenities and services.

From the concierge who provided invaluable local insights to the housekeeping team who maintained impeccable standards of cleanliness, the attention to detail and genuine care for guests was evident in every interaction. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest. Safety and security were never a concern during my stay. The hotel maintains excellent security measures, and I felt completely at ease throughout my visit. I had a very enjoyable stay at Meliã Yangon and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The hotel is located in a peaceful area by Inya Lake, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere away from the busy downtown traffic. The rooms are modern, spacious, and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The large windows let in plenty of natural light, and if you get a lake-view room, the scenery is especially nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any requests were handled efficiently. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of both local and international options, and the quality of the food was consistently good. The hotel also has great facilities, including a nice pool, a well-equipped gym, and good dining options. Overall, Meliã Yangon offers a great balance of comfort, service, and value in a calm and scenic setting. I would happily stay here again.
