I booked the hotel because of the view of the ocean and sunset. In fact, they gave us a room without a balcony with windows on the wall and a small window to the sunset. We arrived at the hotel closer to 9 pm, could not find the entrance, the gates were closed. Having driven around half the area, we found the entrance to the hotel, and they told us that check-in was until 9 pm. It's good that we made it. At 9 pm, the lights at the reception were turned off, and everyone left. In the morning, I went to figure out that there was no ocean view, to which I was told that my room type was standard. When choosing a room in the app, there were ocean views. I said that it was a scam, the employee had nothing to say. The most unpleasant thing was that at 9 pm we could not take a shower - there was no hot water. We had to wash our hair in the morning before breakfast. The breakfast is very simple, but the food is delicious. The cleaning lady in the morning just opened the room without knocking, and we could have been changing at that moment. It was disappointing that there was no refrigerator in the room. They didn't give us any tea when we cleaned, and after the trip through the dunes we really wanted something hot to drink. The chandeliers are inconveniently located - it's easy to hit them. The toilet door didn't open, but ran into the heated towel rail. In general, the entire hotel area is like a labyrinth, where the main thing is not to get lost. If I were asked about the hotel a second time, I wouldn't choose this one, since it's far from the center, there are no restaurants around, and at 9 p.m. there's no one at the reception. The beds and bed linen are good. The rooms with an ocean view are really good.

I booked a suite. The living room is relatively large, but the master bedroom is not too big. The room facilities are generally OK, but the shower head in the shower room is fixed and cannot be moved, which is not very convenient. The washbasin is relatively small.

The Delight Swakopmund is like a modern hotel on the German North and Baltic Sea. Maritime, but also Namibian accessories are pleasantly and quietly mixed. We had a wonderful time here! The apartment was beautiful with a stunning view of the beach. The restaurant, Salt, has some great food for both breakfast and dinner. Staff here were very kind and friendly to us. It is located right on the beach so you can go for a nice walk along the beach at any time. It’s between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay so has easy access to both towns for travellers. You’ll really enjoy your time here.
