Finally got to Wudang Mountain for some much-needed relaxation! This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel's ambiance is fantastic, especially the large terrace – the view is breathtaking. On a clear day, seeing the distant mountains and sea of clouds instantly brings a sense of peace. The room itself is designed in a new Chinese style, with thoughtful details, and the bathroom looks very high-quality; it was a really comfortable stay. Beyond the beautiful scenery, the overall experience was top-notch! In the afternoon, there's complimentary Shenshi tea, perfect for sitting down, sipping tea, and chatting – so pleasant. Breakfast was also delicious, with a rich variety of fresh options that left me feeling energized. You can also catch the sunset over at Nanyan Palace. The biggest surprise was the free Tai Chi class! Practicing Tai Chi with the instructor on the terrace in the evening, with the sky above and mountain breeze, was incredibly therapeutic. The instructor was very professional and responsible, correcting postures hand-in-hand and patiently guiding us, so even beginners could quickly pick it up. The service throughout was superb, making us feel completely at home. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Wudang Mountain!

The pillow height was just right, perfectly filling the space around my neck, making side sleeping incredibly comfortable. The desk by the window was polished to a brilliant shine, with not a speck of dust visible when the light hit it. The front desk staff handled everything efficiently; the check-in process was smooth and quick. When checking out, I felt completely refreshed.

Let's start with the positives: convenient transportation and a room with a panoramic river view as booked! Now for the negatives: on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the air conditioner vent was leaking. The complimentary fruit platter offered as an apology felt very insincere. There should have been a greeting for the Mid-Autumn Festival as a gesture of human care! On both the 25th and 26th, getting up at 9 AM, I encountered housekeepers vacuuming the carpets while I was using the elevator. I told her that it should be vacuumed with a proper vacuum cleaner, otherwise, dust would just keep flying around in the enclosed space! She ignored me, probably thinking I was being difficult. So, while the view is great, the other services and hygiene are just so-so!!!

The river view is beautiful, and the location is great, very close to Lihuangpi Road and the riverside, so you can just stroll downstairs. However, there's no subway nearby. The hotel doesn't offer twin rooms with a direct river view. On each floor, there are only two 180-degree direct river view rooms. Although they are back-to-back, their doors are at opposite ends of the hallway. If a family books two 180-degree rooms, it's quite a hassle to meet up, as you have to walk a long way around. Your only option would be to pay extra to upgrade to a 270-degree river view room. There's only a single armchair by the window, and no small coffee table. When enjoying the river view from the window, there's nowhere to put your drink – you have to put it on the windowsill... If there are two of you, you'd have to drag the bench from the end of the bed over? The ergonomic chair was incredibly uncomfortable, and I found a layer of dust in the middle while trying to figure out how to adjust it. Both the ergonomic chair and the single armchair felt dirty. Perhaps it was peak season, but there were no perks or complimentary items. The 105 yuan 'Summer Enjoyment' voucher was also pretty useless, as it could only be applied to certain double set menus priced at 299 or 399, for example.

As a loyal customer of Ascott Group, I've stayed at numerous Ascott and Somerset properties in various cities, and this one in Wuhan truly ranks among the best. It surpasses many 5-star Ascott hotels in other cities in terms of facilities, service, and overall quality. Although the breakfast was a bit simple, it was clean, and some 5-star hotels offer equally simple breakfasts. So, you're getting a 5-star experience for a 4-star price. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Wuhan. The best part is having a huge mall downstairs with a Yonghui supermarket – it's incredibly convenient! Plus, my two-bedroom deluxe apartment faced a quiet residential area, which is perfect for someone like me who's a very light sleeper. I really have to praise them. Before check-in, they even asked about my preferences beyond what was in my booking, which is a level of service I haven't seen in many 5-star hotels. And the free parking in the mall? That really highlights the absurdity of paying over a hundred RMB for overnight parking at a certain 5-star hotel in Beijing – truly, no comparison, no harm! I can't even list all the good points, hahaha!

From the online pictures, the hotel and its premises looked dated. However, the warm ambience with soft lightning, spacious walkways and pastel decorations made us look forward to returning back to the hotel everyday. You can't fault the location of the hotel - there are 2 entrances to ensure easy access to where ever you want to go. One entrance gives immediate access to pickups and dropoffs, Jiqing street, not mentioned endless restaurants, shops and street peddles lining up on both sides of the streets. The other entrance gives immediate access to the bustling pedestrian streets, McDonald's, KFC, and other countless eating and shopping options, including souvenir shops, so you could easily grab something before you depart. A mall links to the hotel as well. You could also see a group of seemingly retirees dancing outside every morning. You could also opt for food and parcel delivery and then hotel's trusty robot will deliver to your room, if not, the front door desk will assist to store for you till you collect. The room we stayed was huge and the hotel service staff was very helpful. Many items at the breakfast buffet provided by an external vendor (so we were told) was cold when we went at 7am, such as the dim sum items like the bao and dumplings, and the cooked food like fried noodles. Many of the diners were complaining amongst ourselves. However, the staff there said the food is cooked anyway, so we could still eat them. When I reflected to the front desk, we were given some other breakfast options to make up for our bad experience. A male staff even gave us some toys and souvenirs that made us smile. It is not about getting freebies. I like that the various hotel staff at the front desk cared about guest experience and tried their best within their capacity to show that they want guests to feel happy staying at the hotel. Strong hotel support is really very important to travellers because our itinerary begins and ends with the hotel. So kudos to all the hotel staff who attended to us during our stay. Usually we won't return to the same hotel so as to try other options. But I think we will return to Dorset the next time we visit Wuhan again.

The round moon gate window, the quiet garden courtyard, the tea rooms, the shaded seating areas, and the traditional-style architecture all create a relaxing escape from the busy streets outside. This is the kind of place where you can wake up slowly, enjoy tea in the courtyard, listen to the quiet, and still be close to the cultural life of Enshi Tujia Girl’s Town. It is perfect for travelers who want more than just a room. It offers a sense of place. The design blends modern comfort with local character. The wooden furniture, tea sets, plants, stone details, and courtyard layout make the hotel feel connected to Enshi’s culture and landscape. It is especially beautiful during the day when sunlight moves through the garden and reflects across the clean, peaceful interior spaces. For anyone visiting Enshi, this hotel is a wonderful choice if you want to experience both convenience and calm. You are close to the charm of Daughter City, but once inside the hotel, it feels private, refined, and deeply relaxing. Pujian Courtyard-Style Hotel is not just a place to sleep. It is part of the Enshi experience itself — a quiet courtyard, a cup of tea, a peaceful pause, and a beautiful way to feel the spirit of Tujia Girl’s Town. Highly recommended for couples, culture lovers, tea lovers, and travelers who enjoy boutique hotels with atmosphere and character.

Quanji Hotel, Xiangyang review I spent two nights at Quanji Hotel in Xiangyang, and I left with a mix of impressions some solid wins, one or two quirks, and a sense that this place knows what travelers like me actually want after a long day of sightseeing or meetings. First impressions - Exterior and lobby: Modern, clean, and uncluttered. The lobby feels calm, not trying too hard to impress you, which is nice after a long train ride. The check-in process was smooth, with staff who spoke enough English to help, but not so much that you felt talked down to. - Location: Pretty convenient depending on what you’re here for. It isn’t in the center of Xiangyang’s busiest streets, but you’re within a comfortable walk or short ride to key spots, plus there are eateries nearby that aren’t overhyped tourist traps. Room and comfort - The room itself was a solid 4-star vibe: tidy, well-lit, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel in what feels like a busy area. The bed was comfortable—firm enough to support a good night’s sleep but soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re lying on a board. - Amenities: Decent desk space if you’re traveling for work, reliable Wi-Fi, and a reasonable layout. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking. - Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable dropping your gear and not worrying about dirt or mess. Service - Front desk and staff: Friendly and helpful. They stood by for recommendations on dining and local spots without turning the conversation into a sales pitch. When I asked for directions or a printout of an itinerary, they were efficient and patient. - Housekeeping: Prompt and discreet. No intrusions at odd hours, which I appreciated.

This hotel is extremely convenient, being very close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. The staff were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful in resolving everything quickly. The amenities were a big plus the gym was well-equipped, and the free laundry service was very convenient. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a very good buffet offering plenty of options. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the great service and facilities made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily stay again.

Came to Yichang to see the Three Gorges and absolutely picked the right hotel! The location is incredible – super close to the Three Gorges Tourist Center, so catching an early boat was a breeze. Plus, Wanda Plaza is right next door, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The river view from the room was so therapeutic; opening the window revealed a magnificent panorama of the river. Watching the sunset over the water in the evening really enhanced the ambiance. The newly renovated room was clean and elegant, and even though it's a new hotel, there was hardly any new-building smell, and the air purifier was a thoughtful touch. Miss Shuangshuang at the front desk was very enthusiastic and efficient with the check-in. Breakfast had a wide variety, including hot dry noodles, baozi, and various porridges. It was great to fill up before heading out to explore the sights – so comfortable!
